Liver histological changes in untreated chronic hepatitis B patients in indeterminate phase

BACKGROUND Studies with large size samples on the liver histological changes of indeterminate phase chronic hepatitis B(CHB)patients were not previously *** To assess the liver histological changes in the indeterminate phase CHB patients using liver *** The clinical and laboratory data of 1532 untreated CHB patients were collected,and all patients had least once liver biopsy from January 2015 to december *** significant differences among different phases of CHB infection were compared with t-test,and the risk factors of significant liver histological changes were analyzed by the multivariate logistic regression *** Among 1532 untreated CHB patients,814(53.13%)patients were in the indeterminate *** liver histological changes(defined as biopsy score≥G2 and/or≥S2)were found in 488/814(59.95%)CHB patients in the indete-rminate *** liver histological changes were significant differences among different age,platelets(PLTs),and alanine aminotransferase(ALT)subgroup in indeterminate *** logistic regression analysis indicated that age≥40 years old[adjust odd risk(aOR),1.44;95%confidence interval(CI):1.06-1.97;P=0.02],PLTs≤150×10^(9)/L(aOR,2.99;95%CI:1.85-4.83;Pdependent risk factors for significant liver histological changes in CHB patients in the indeterminate *** Our results suggested that significant liver histological changes were not rare among the untreated CHB patients in indeterminate phase,and additional strategies are urgently required for the management of these patients.

To the Editor: Multiple primary carcinoma (MPC) or secondary primary carcinoma refers to two or more malignant tumors occurring in the same organ or different organs of a patient. MPC is classified into synchronous MPC (time between diagnoses ≤6 months) and metachronous MPC (time between diagnoses >6 months).[1] Clinically, MPC was easily misdiagnosed as the recurrence and metastasis of malignant tumor. In head and neck MPC patients, the correct diagnosis and active treatments are important.

Multiple Nanoparticles Coupling Strategy for Enhancing Optical Filter Performance of Spectral Splitter Used in Photovoltaic/Thermal System

Selective absorptive nanofluid can pre-absorb certain sunlight wavelength that cannot be used by PV and transmits remaining sunlight to the surface of PV,which can decouple PV from the thermal receiver *** order to improve the harvesting of electricity and high-temperature thermal nanofluid,it is important to design an optimal optical filter window(transmit sunlight with wavelengths of 732-1067 nm to the surface of the photovoltaic cell and absorb the remaining sunlight).However,designing optimal optical filter is facing following challenges:(1) inherently narrow selective absorptivity property of single nanoparticle;(2) simplified numerical calculation method calculating transmittance;(3) ignoring the shape of the *** this study,the idea of using multiple nanoparticles coupling effect to design an optical filter is proposed,which can superimpose the narrow absorption bandwidth of different nanoparticles to obtain a wide absorption bandwidth of the whole *** addition,an improved transmission method considering light-matter interaction at air/vessel and liquid/vessel interfaces is adopted to compute the *** results calculated by improved transmission method are more accurate than widely used traditional Lambert-Beer law,which is verified by experimental ***,the effect of nanoparticle shape on spectral transmittance is also investigated,which shows that spiny Ag can approximately extend absorbance from 400 nm to 600 nm compared to nanosphere ***,the results show that optical filter efficiency of nanofluids with multiple nanoparticles coupling(Ag,spiny Ag,ZnO,ITO) can reached up to 35%.

Lead-free perovskites-based photonic synaptic devices with zero electric energy consumption

The von Neumann bottleneck is a critical limitation in synaptic devices. Therefore, artificial synaptic devices resembling biological neuromorphic synapses have been developed to overcome the von Neumann bottleneck. However, synaptic devices require voltages, which results in considerable energy consumption. Here, photonic synaptic devices with the vertical structure of indium tin oxide（ITO）/SnO2/Al2O3/CsBi3I10/Au are fabricated, which can work in the self-powered mode owing to the photovoltaic effect endowed by a vertical multilayer structure. Several fundamental synaptic functions, such as excitatory postsynaptic current, paired-pulse facilitation, short-term plasticity（STP）, long-term plasticity（LTP）, pulse-frequency-dependent plasticity, transition of STP to LTP, and the learning experience are emulated. Moreover, Morse-coded external light information is decoded by self-powered photonic synaptic devices. The results indicate that self-powered photonic synaptic devices based on lead-free perovskites exhibit great potential for efficient neuromorphic computing and optical wireless communication.

To take advantage of all the singlet and triplet excitons and then achieve 100％internal quantum efficiency in OLED devices,the scientists have proposed the thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)strategy which tries to achieve"delayed"fluorescence by converting triplet excitons to singlet excitons through a reverse intersystem crossing(ISC/RISC)process with the help of thermal activation[1].In the early days,the efficient RISC processes were facilitated by a negligible energy gap(△EST)and a large spin-orbit coupling(SOC)matrix element(SOCME)between the first singlet(S1)and triplet(T1)excited states.

Due to the high potential risk and many influencing factors of subsea horizontal X-tree installation,to guarantee the successful completion of sea trials of domestic subsea horizontal X-trees,this paper established a modular risk evaluation model based on a fuzzy fault ***,through the analysis of the main process oftree down and combining the Offshore&Onshore Reliability Data(OREDA)failure statistics and the operation procedure and the data provided by the job,the fault tree model of risk analysis of the tree down installation was ***,by introducing the natural language of expert comprehensive evaluation and combining fuzzy principles,quantitative analysis was carried out,and the fuzzy number was used to calculate the failure probability of a basic event and the occurrence probability of a top ***,through a sensitivity analysis of basic events,the basic events of top events significantly affected were determined,and risk control and prevention measures for the corresponding high-risk factors were proposed for subsea horizontal X-tree down installation.

Hole cleaning evaluation and installation spacing optimization of cuttings bed remover in extended-reach drilling

In extended-reach or long-horizontal drilling,cuttings usually deposit at the bottom of the *** cuttings accumulate to a certain thickness,complex problems such as excessive torque and drag,tubing buckling,and pipe stuck probably occur,which results in a lot of non-productive time and remedial *** bed remover can efficiently destroy deposited cuttings in time through hydraulic and mechanical stirring *** paper aims to build a method for hole cleaning evaluation and installation spacing optimization of cuttings bed remover to improve the wellbore cleaning ***,a Computational Fluid Dynamics approach with Eulerian—Eulerian multiphase model was utilized to investigate the mechanism of cuttings transportation,and a new type of cuttings bed remover was ***,an evaluation method of hole cleaning effect of remover was *** that,the effects of several drilling parameters on hole cleaning including flow rate of drilling fluid,rotational speed of drillpipe,rate of penetration,wellbore size,rheological property of drilling fluid,and remover eccentricity on the performance of cuttings bed remover were *** results demonstrate that the new type of remover with streamline blade performs better than conventional *** efficiency of hole cleaning is greatly improved by increasing the rotational speed of drillpipe,flow rate of drilling fluid,remover eccentricity,and 6 rpm Fann dial reading for drilling *** higher rate of penetration and large wellbore size result in worse hole *** findings can serve as an important guide for the structure optimization design of cuttings bed remover and installation spacing of removers.
