Background Respiratory infectious diseases(RIDs)remain a pressing public health concern,posing a signifcant threat to the well-being and lives of *** study delves into the incidence of seven primary RIDs dur‑ing the period 2017-2021,aiming to gain deeper insights into their epidemiological characteristics for the purpose of enhancing control and prevention *** Data pertaining to seven notifable RIDs,namely,seasonal infuenza,pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB),mumps,scarlet fever,pertussis,rubella and measles,in the mainland of China between 2017 and 2021 were obtained from the National Notifable Disease Reporting System(NNDRS).Joinpoint regression software was utilized to analyze temporal trends,while SaTScan software with a Poisson probability model was used to assess seasonal and spatial *** A total of 11,963,886 cases of the seven RIDs were reported during 2017-2021,and yielding a fve-year aver‑age incidence rate of 170.73 per 100,000 *** these RIDs,seasonal infuenza exhibited the highest aver‑age incidence rate(94.14 per 100,000),followed by PTB(55.52 per 100,000),mumps(15.16 per 100,000),scarlet fever(4.02 per 100,000),pertussis(1.10 per 100,000),rubella(0.59 per 100,000),and measles(0.21 per 100,000).Males experi‑enced higher incidence rates across all seven *** incidence was notably elevated among farmers and individu‑als aged over 65,whereas the other RIDs primarily afected children and students under 15 years of *** inci‑dences of PTB and measles exhibited a declining trend from 2017 to 2021(APC=−7.53%,P=0.009;APC=−40.87%,P=0.02),while the other fve RIDs peaked in *** seasonal and spatial distribution,the seven RIDs displayed distinct characteristics,with variations observed for the same RIDs across diferent *** proportion of laboratory-confrmed cases fuctuated among the seven RIDs from 2017 to 2021,with measles and rubella exhibit‑ing higher proportions and mumps and scarlet fever

The mechanical properties of an austenite-based Fe-Mn-Al-C lightweight steel were improved by co-precipitation of nanoscale Cu-rich and κ-carbide *** Fe-28Mn-9Al-0.8C-(0,3)Cu (wt.%) strips were near-rapidly solidified and annealed in the temperature range from 500 ℃ to 700 ℃.The microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of the steel under different annealing processes were *** analysis reveals that nanoscale κ-carbides and Cu-rich particles precipitate in the austenite and ferrite of the steel in this annealing temperature ***-precipitation of nanoscale Cu-rich particles and κ-carbides provides an obvious increment in the yield *** the annealing temperature of 600 ℃,both the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of Fe-28Mn-9Al-0.8C-3Cu (wt.%) steel strip are the *** total elongation is 25%,which is obviously higher than that of Cu-free steel strips,for the addition of Cu reduces the large sized κ-carbides precipitated along austenite/ferrite *** the annealing temperature rises to 700 ℃,the strength and ductility of the two steel strips deteriorate due to the formation of massive intergranular κ-carbides precipitated along austenite/ferrite *** can be concluded that a proper co-precipitation of Cu-rich particles and κ-carbides would improve the properties of austenite-based Fe-Mn-Al-C steel.

Catalytic therapy based on piezoelectric nanoparticles has become one of the effective strategies to eliminate ***,it is still a challenge to improve the tumor delivery efficiency of piezoelectric nanoparticles,so that they can penetrate normal tissues while specifically aggregating at tumor sites and subsequently generating large amounts of reactive oxygen species(ROS)to achieve precise and efficient tumor *** the present study,we successfully fabricated tumor microenvironment-responsive assembled barium titanate nanoparticles(tma-BTO NPs):in the neutral pH environment of normal tissues,tma-BTO NPs were monodisperse and possessed the ability to cross the intercellular space;whereas,the acidic environment of the tumor triggered the self-assembly of tma-BTO NPs to form submicron-scale aggregates,and deposited in the tumor *** self-assembled tma-BTO NPs not only caused mechanical damage to tumor cells;more interestingly,they also exhibited enhanced piezoelectric catalytic efficiency and produced more ROS than monodisperse nanoparticles under ultrasonic excitation,attributed to the mutual extrusion of neighboring particles within the confined space of the ***-BTO NPs exhibited differential cytotoxicity against tumor cells and normal cells,and the stronger piezoelectric catalysis and mechanical damage induced by the assemblies resulted in significant apoptosis of mouse breast cancer cells(4T1);while there was little damage to mouse embryo osteoblast precursor cells(MC3T3-E1)under the same treatment *** experiments confirmed that peritumoral injection of tma-BTO NPs combined with ultrasound therapy can effectively inhibit tumor progression *** tumor microenvironment-responsive self-assembly strategy opens up new perspectives for future precise piezoelectric-catalyzed tumor therapy.

Background In a suitable microenvironment, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells （BMSCs） can transdifferentiate into myocardial cells whose special gene can be expressed as structural proteins. Growth factor （GF） plays an important role in the cell migration, survival and differentiation. However, the effect of GF on the cellular differentiation is not well understood. In this study, the hepatocyte growth factor （HGF） and insulin like growth factor-1 （IGF-1） were used in the mixed culture of BMSCs and myocardial cells and the effects of these growth factors on the GATA-4 expression of BMSCs were investigated.Methods BMSCs were isolated from the marrow of rabbit femurs and tibias and foetal rabbit ventricular myocytes were isolated with trypsin sequential digestion. These two kinds of cells were cocultured in a ratio of 1：1 for 6 weeks; cocultured cells with added HGF and IGF-1 were the experimental group. The differentiated BMSCs were collected using the laser capture, microdissection system and their RNA isolated. Immunocytochemical staining, transmission electron microscopy and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction were used to evaluate the transformation of the stem cells into cardiomyocytes like cells.Results When cultured separately, BMSCs did not express a-actin and the stem cells had many nucleoli. However, when cocultured with cardiomyocytes, BMSCs expressed a-actin and the cardiac transcription factor GATA-4 and showed cardiomyocyte like ultrastructure. In comparison with the control group, the experimental group exhibited the enhanced expression level of GATA-4. The GATA-4 expression of BMSCs increased gradually following the addition of HGF and IGF-1, reached the maximal level after two weeks and decreased slightly thereafter.Conclusions BMSCs can transdifferentiate into cardiomyocytes like cells and express the cardiac transcription factor GATA-4 after being cocultured with myocardial cells. SARS-CoV-2 is the pathogenic agent of COVID-19,which has evolved into a global *** with some other respiratory RNA viruses,SARS-CoV-2 is a poor inducer of type Ⅰ interferon(IFN).Here,we report that SARS-CoV-2 nsp12,the viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase(RdRp),suppresses host antiviral ***-CoV-2 nsp12 attenuated Sendai virus(SeV)-or poly(I:C)-induced IFN-β promoter activation in a dose-dependent *** also inhibited IFN promoter activation triggered by RIG-I,MDA5,MAVS,and IRF3 ***12 did not impair IRF3 phosphorylation but suppressed the nuclear translocation of *** analyses suggested that this suppression was not dependent on the polymerase activity of *** these findings,our study reveals that SARS-CoV-2 RdRp can antagonize host antiviral innate immunity and thus provides insights into viral pathogenesis.
