Facile Fabrication of Hyperbranched Polyacetal Quaternary Ammonium with pH-Responsive Curcumin Release for Synergistic Antibacterial Activity

In the current global crisis of antibiotic resistance,persuit of an effective multi-pathway collaborative approach to enhance antibacterial activity is urgently ***,a kind of hyperbranched polyacetal quaternary ammonium(Hyper-ace-QA)with efficiently antibacterial function were synthesized by a succession of efficient click *** high molecular weights can be obtained just after UV irradiation for 3 h,and the grafting ratio can be easily adjusted through controlling solvent system,molar ratio,and *** studies indicated that Hyper-ace-QA had good biocompatibility and can be used as a potential antibacterial *** importantly,after in situ encapsulation of bioactive curcumin drugs into the hyperbranched intramolecular cavities,the acid-liable acetal linkers within the hyperbranched backbone made the loading antibacterial drugs rapidly release with pH-or bacterial-responsive behaviors since many bacteria can produce acids at the infection site by the combined actions of immune response and bacterial ***,the integration of quaternary ammonium characteristics and pH-triggered curcumin release could facilitate the antibacterial activity against gram-positive Staphylococcus *** work represents a synergistic strategy on offering important guidance to rational design of multifunctional antimicrobial vehicles,which would be promising therapeutic alternatives for first aid treatment of wound infection in critical situations.

Controlled Cross-linking Strategy for Formation of Hydrogels,Microgels and Nanogels

Hydrogels are a kind of unique cross-linking polymeric materials with three-dimensional networks. Various efforts have been devoted to manipulate the formation of functional hydrogels in situ and enrich the production of hydrogels, microgels and nanogels with improved modulation capacity. However, these methods always fail to tune the gel properties because of the difficulty in achieving the precise control of cross-linking extents once the gel formation is initiated. Therefore, the preparation of tailor-made hydrogels remains a great challenge. Herein, we summarize a controlled cross-linking strategy towards not only fabrication of hydrogels at nano-, micro-and macro-scales, but also achievement of controlled assembly of nanoparticles into multifunctional materials in macroscopic and microscopic scales. The strategy is conducted by controllably activating and terminating the disulfide reshuffling reactions of disulfide-linked core/shell materials with selective core/shell separation using system p H or UV triggers. So it provides a facile approach to producing hydrogels, hydrogel particles and nanoparticle aggregates with tunable structures and properties, opening up the design possibility, flexibility and complexity of hydrogels, microgels/nanogels and nanoparticle aggregates from nanoscopic components to macroscopic objects.

In recent years,the hydrogel-based tissue adhesives have been extensively investigated for their excellent biocompatibility and the ability to be administered directly within the adherent *** meet the requirement for more controllable release in various physiological settings,the components of hydrogel adhesive should be more precisely *** this work,the POSS-ace-PEG hydrogel adhesive was fabricated with the polyacetal dendrimer G1’-[NH3 Cl]16 and poly(ethylene glycol)succinimidyl carbonate(PEG-SC)due to the regular peripheral amino structure of G1’-[NH3 Cl]*** and adhesion tests demonstrated that the hydrogel adhesive had good mechanical and adhesive properties,which could effectively adhere to the pigskin and severed ***,the tissue adhesive exhibited good stability under neutral conditions and the rapid degradation under acidic conditions,allowing for the release of doxycycline hydrochloride(DOX)drug in response to ***,these results suggested that the POSS-ace-PEG adhesive had the potential to provide an alternative to tissue adhesives for applications in pathological environments(inflammation,tumors,etc.).

The copolymerization of styrene (St) with maleic anhydride (MAh) under gamma radiation at room temperature in the presence of benzyl dithiobenzoate (BDTB) was found to display 'living' nature evidenced by constant concentration of chain radicals during the copolymerization, linear evolution of molecular weights with conversion and narrow molecular weight distribution (M-w/M-n = 1.23-1.35). The compositional analysis and the sequence structural information of the copolymers obtained from dePT (Distortionless Enhancement by Polarization Transfer) experiments demonstrate that the copolymers obtained also possess strictly alternating structure.

Effect of droplet characteristics on liquid-phase distribution in spray zone of internal mixing air-mist nozzle

In continuous casting production,droplet characteristics are important parameters for evaluating the nozzle atomization quality,and have a significant impact on the secondary cooling effect and the slab *** order to study the behavior of atomized droplets after reaching the slab surface and to optimize the spray cooling effect,the influence of droplet diameter and droplet velocity on the migration behavior of droplets in the secondary cooling zone was analyzed by FLUENT *** show that the droplets in the spray zone and on the slab surface are mainly concentrated in the center,thus,the liquid volume fraction in the center is higher than that of either *** the droplet diameter increases,the region of high liquid volume fraction on the slab surface becomes wider,and the liquid phase distribution in the slab width direction becomes *** increasing the droplet velocity at the nozzle exit has little effect on droplet diffusion in the spray zone,the distribution becomes more uneven due to more liquid reaches the slab surface per unit time.A prediction formula of the maximum water flow rate on the slab surface for specific droplet characteristics was proposed based on dimensionless analysis and validated by simulated data.A nozzle spacing of 210 mm was recommended under the working conditions in this study,which ensures effective coverage of the spray water over the slab surface and enhances the distribution uniformity of water flow rate in the transverse direction.

Selection Method for New Energy Output Guaranteed Rates Considering Optimal Energy Storage Configuration

The output of new energy represented by wind power and photovoltaic power features volatility and randomness. It is a practical approach to use the guaranteed rate with statistical characteristics to analyze the output coefficient of new energy. However, there is a lack of analysis and demonstration on the value of the new energy output guaranteed rate. To solve this problem, a selection method for the new energy output guaranteed rate considering optimal energy storage configuration is proposed. First, the influence of the new energy output guaranteed rate on the new energy output coefficient is analyzed. Secondly, with the goal of minimizing the comprehensive costs, an optimal configuration model of energy storage based on the output guaranteed rate of new energy is constructed, and particle swarm optimization is used for the optimization solution. Then, according to the optimal energy storage configuration results under different guaranteed rates, a reasonable new energy output guaranteed rate is determined by maximizing the comprehensive benefits obtained from energy storage. Finally, an example applied to the power grid in an area of Guangdong in Southern China is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Capillary Property of Entangled Porous Metallic Wire materials and Its Application in Fluid Buffers:Theoretical Analysis and Experimental Study

Strong impact does serious harm to the military industries so it is necessary to choose reasonable cushioning material and design effective buffers to prevent the impact of *** on the capillary property entangled porous metallic wire materials(EPMWM),this paper designed a composite buffer which uses EPMWM and viscous fluid as cushioning materials under the low-speed impact of the recoil force device of weapon equipment(such as artillery,mortar,etc.).Combined with the capillary model,porosity,hydraulic diameter,maximum pore diameter and pore distribution were used to characterize the pore structure characteristics of *** calculation model of the damping force of the composite buffer was *** low-speed impact test of the composite buffer was *** parameters of the buffer under low-speed impact were identified according to the model,and the nonlinear model of damping force was *** test results show that the composite buffer with EPMWM and viscous fluid can absorb the impact energy from the recoil movement effectively,and provide a new method for the buffer design of weapon equipment(such as artillery,mortar,etc.).

Fault-tolerant identity-based encryption from SM9

This paper initiates the formal study of attribute-based encryption within the framework of SM9,the Chinese National Cryptography Standard for Identity-Based Cryptography, by presenting two new faulttolerant identity-based encryption(FIBE) schemes. Our first scheme uses the same private-key/ciphertext structure as the original SM9 algorithm and operates in a small attribute universe. As a result, it can be effectively and smoothly integrated into the information systems using SM9. In the random oracle model,we prove that our scheme is ciphertext-indistinguishable against fuzzy selective-identity and chosen-plaintext attacks under the(k + 3)-DBDHI assumption. Our second design is a large universe FIBE scheme based on SM9 that is ciphertext-indistinguishable against chosen-plaintext attacks in the random oracle model under the(f, g)-GDDHE assumption. Finally, we compare the communication and computing costs of our schemes to those of other classical ones. The comparison shows that our schemes have comparable performance as others. We believe that our findings will accelerate the applications of SM9 in modern information systems such as cloud computing and blockchain.
