This study focuses on finding a solution to the sharp decline in mechanical properties of Al-Si-Cu-Mg alloys due to rapid coarsening of traditional intermediate phases at high temperature.A new type of modified al oy,to be used in automobile engines at high temperatures,was prepared by adding Zr and Mo into Al-Si-Cu-Mg *** synergistic effects of Zr and Mo on the microstructure evolution and high-temperature mechanical properties were *** show that the addition of Zr and Mo generates a series of intermetallic phases dispersed in the *** can improve the strength of the alloy by hindering dislocation movement and crack *** addition,some nano-strengthened phases show coherent interfaces with the matrix and improve grain *** addition of Mo greatly improves the heat resistance of the *** extremely low diffusivity of Mo enables it to improve the thermal stability of the intermetallic phases,inhibit precipitation during aging,reduce the size of the precipitates,and improve the heat resistance of the alloy.

Accurately predicting the remaining useful life(RUL)of bearings in mining rotating equipment is vital for mining *** research aims to distinguish the features associated with the RUL of bearings and propose a prediction model based on these selected *** study proposes a hybrid predictive model to assess the RUL of rolling element *** proposed model begins with the pre-processing of bearing vibration signals to reconstruct sixty time-domain *** hybrid model selects relevant features from the sixty time-domain features of the vibration signal by adopting the RReliefF feature selection ***,the extreme learning machine(ELM)approach is applied to develop a predictive model of RUL based on the optimal *** model is trained by optimizing its parameters via the grid search *** training datasets are adjusted to make them most suitable for the regression model using the cross-validation *** proposed hybrid model is analyzed and validated using the vibration data taken from the public XJTU-SY rolling element-bearing *** comparison is constructed with other traditional *** experimental test results demonstrated that the proposed approach can predict the RUL of bearings with a reliable degree of accuracy.

AIM： To study the anti-tumor effect of caffeic acid phenethyl ester （CAPE） and the influence of CAPE on β-catenin associated signaling pathway in SW480 colorectal cancer （CRC） cells. METHODS： SW480 cells were treated with CAPE at serial concentrations. The proliferative status of cells was measured by methabenzthiazuron （MTT） assay. Cell cycle and cell apoptosis were analyzed using flow cytometry （FCM）. Western blotting assay was used to evaluate the protein level of β-catenin, c-myc and cyclinD1. β-catenin localization was determined by indirect immunofluorescence. RESULTS： CAPE displayed a strong inhibitory effect in a significant dose- and time-dependent manner on SW480 cell growth. FCM analysis showed that the ratio of G0/G1 phase cells increased, S phase ratio decreased and apoptosis rate increased after SW480 cells were exposed to CAPE for 24 h. Pretreatment of SW480 cells with CAPE significantly suppressed β-catenin, c-myc and cyclinD1 protein expression. CAPE treatment was associated with decreased accumulation of β-catenin protein in nucleus and cytoplasm, and concurrently increased its accumulation on the surface of cell membrane. CONCLUSION： CAPE can inhibit SW480 cell proliferation by inducing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. decreased β-catenin and the associated signaling pathway target gene expression may mediate the anti-tumor effects of CAPE.

Tectonism is one of the dominant factors affecting the shale pore structure. However, the control of shale pore structure by tectonic movements is still controversial, which limits the research progress of shale gas accumulation mechanism in the complex tectonic region of southern China. In this study, 34 samples were collected from two exploratory wells located in different tectonic locations. Diverse experiments,e.g., organic geochemistry, XRD analysis, FE-SEM, low-pressure gas adsorption, and high-pressure mercury intrusion, were conducted to fully characterize the shale reservoir. The TOC, Ro, and mineral composition of the shale samples between the two wells are similar, which reflects that the shale samples of the two wells have proximate pores-generating capacity and pores-supporting ***, the pore characteristics of shale samples from two wells are significantly different. Compared with the stabilized zone shale, the porosity, pore volume, and specific surface area of the deformed zone shale were reduced by 60.61%, 64.85%, and 27.81%, respectively. Moreover, the macroscopic and fine pores were reduced by 54.01% and 84.95%, respectively. Fault activity and uplift denudation are not conducive to pore preservation, and the rigid basement of Huangling uplift can promote pore preservation. These three factors are important reasons for controlling the difference in pore structure between two wells shales. We established a conceptual model of shale pores evolution under different tectonic preservation conditions. This study is significant to clarify the scale of shale gas formation and enrichment in complex tectonic regions, and helps in the selection of shale sweet spots.

Flat-top beam illumination for polarization-sensitive second-harmonic generation microscopy

Wide-field second-harmonic generation (SHG) was used to obtain the second-harmonic signal from the entire image area for rapid imaging, despite the fact that conventional Gaussian beam illumination has low energy utilization efficiency,which makes it easy to overexpose the intensity of the image center area. However, flat-top beam illumination has uniform spatial distribution, thereby improving the photon excitation efficiency in the entire image region and reducing laser damage and thermal effect. By combining flat-top beam illumination and wide-field SHG polarization measurement, we can calculate more myosin fibril symmetrical axis orientations through polarization analysis of 16 images at a fast imaging speed while expanding the field of view. More importantly, the application of a flat-top beam can further improve the capability of polarization measurement in SHG microscopy.
