This study aimed to investigate the moment redistribution in continuous glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP)-concrete composite slabs caused by concrete cracking and steel bar yielding in the negative bending moment *** experimental bending moment redistribution test was conducted on continuous GFRP-concrete composite slabs,and a calculation method based on the conjugate beam method was *** composite slabs were formed by combining GFRP profiles with a concrete layer and supported on steel beams to create two-span continuous composite slab *** methods,epoxy resin bonding,and stud connection,were used to connect the composite slabs with the steel *** experimental findings showed that the specimen connected with epoxy resin exhibited two moments redistribution phenomena during the loading process:concrete cracking and steel bar yielding at the internal *** contrast,the composite slab connected with steel beams by studs exhibited only one-moment redistribution phenomenon throughout the loading *** the concrete at the internal support cracked,the bending moment decreased in the internal support section and increased in the midspan *** the steel bars yielded,the bending moment further decreased in the internal support section and increased in the mid-span *** GFRP profiles do not experience cracking,there was no significant decrease in the bending moment of the mid-span *** test specimens experienced compressive failure of concrete at the mid-span *** results showed good agreement between the calculated and experimental values of bending moments in the mid-span section and internal support *** proposed model can effectively predict the moment redistribution behavior of continuous GFRP-concrete composite slabs.

The numerical simulation of the self-propelled motion of a fish with a pair of rigid pectoral fins is presented.A Navier-Stokes equation solver incorporating with the multi-block and overset grid method is developed to deal with the multi-body and moving body *** lift-based swimming mode is selected for the fin *** the lift-based swimming mode,the fin can generate great thrust and at the same time have no generation of lift *** can be found when a pair of rigid pectoral fins generates the hydrodynamic moment,it may also generate a lateral force opposite to the centripetal direction,which has adverse effect on the turn motion of the ***,the periodic vortex structure generation and shedding,and their effects on the generation of hydrodynamic force are also demonstrated in this article.

The behavior of Taylor-Couette （TC） flow has been extensively studied. However, no suitable torque prediction models exist for high-capacity fluid machinery. The Eckhardt-Grossmann-Lohse （EGL） theory, derived based on the Navier-Stokes equations, is proposed to model torque behavior. This are the significant energy theory suggests that surfaces transfer interfaces between cylinders and annular flow. This study mainly focuses on the effects of surface texture on momentum transfer behavior through global torque measurement. First, a power-law torque behavior model is built to reveal the relationship between dimensionless torque and the Taylor number based on the EGL theory. Second, TC flow appa- ratus is designed and built based on the CNC machine tool to verify the torque behavior model. Third, four surface texture films are tested to check the effects of surface texture on momentum transfer. A stereo microscope and three-dimensional topography instrument are employed to analyze surface morphology. Global torque behavior is measured by rotating a multi component dynamometer, and the effects of surface texture on the annular flow behavior are observed via images obtained using a high-speed camera. Finally, torque behaviors under four differentsurface conditions are fitted and compared. The experi- mental results indicate that surface textures have a remarkable influence on torque behavior, and that the peak roughness of surface texture enhances the momentum transfer by strengthening the fluctuation in the TC flow.

Purpose–The purpose of this paper is to develop a methodology for the stochastically asymptotic stability of fuzzy Markovian jumping neural networks with time-varying delay and continuously distributed delay in mean ***/methodology/approach–The authors perform Briat Lemma,multiple integral approach and linear convex combination technique to investigate a class of fuzzy Markovian jumping neural networks with time-varying delay and continuously distributed *** sufficient criterion is established by linear matrix inequalities ***–It turns out that the obtained methods are easy to be verified and result in less conservative conditions than the existing *** examples show the effectiveness of the proposed ***/value–The novelty of the proposed approach lies in establishing a new Wirtinger-based integral inequality and the use of the Lyapunov functional method,Briat Lemma,multiple integral approach and linear convex combination technique for stochastically asymptotic stability of fuzzy Markovian jumping neural networks with time-varying delay and continuously distributed delay in mean square.

Vortical structures and wakes of bluff bodies in homogenous and stratified environment are common and important in ocean *** on the Boussinesq approximation,a thermocline model is proposed to deal with the variable density stratified fluid,and implemented in the commercial software Simcenter STAR-CCM+*** improved delayed detached eddy simulation(IDdeS)modeling method is adopted to resolve the coherent vortical structures and turbulent wakes precisely and *** conditions consisting of one homogenous and three stratified fluid cases with different density gradient past a sphere at Reynolds number 3700 are *** show that density stratification has a great impact on the vortical structures,the vertical motion is suppressed and internal waves will be induced and propagated,which is very different with that of homogenous *** the stratification strength increases,the vortical structures are gradually flattened,the asymmetry and anisotropy between vertical and horizontal motions are enhanced.

In this paper,a multiphase moving particle semi-implicit(MPS)method is developed by introduction of various multiphase models into the original MPS method for single-phase flows,and is then applied to the numerical simulations of two-layer-liquid and three-layer-liquid sloshing in a 2-D rectangular tank under different external *** validate the accuracy of the present multiphase MPS method,the qualitative and quantitative results,including wave profiles,interface elevations and impact pressures,are compared with experimental data and other numerical results,which show a good *** particular,the evolutions of free surface and phase interfaces are compared and an obvious discrepancy is found,indicating that the phase interfaces may suffer from complex deformations while the free surface keeps relatively ***,the different modes of phase interface are observed under different excitation ***,the violent sloshing of a three-layer-liquid system is simulated and the phenomenon of internal wave breaking is well captured,which mainly benefitted from the Lagrangian basis of MPS method and its advantage in multiphase flows with complex ***,the three-layer-liquid sloshing with a vertical baffle are simulated to investigate the suppressing effect of baffle on multi-layer-liquid sloshing.

In the current global crisis of antibiotic resistance,persuit of an effective multi-pathway collaborative approach to enhance antibacterial activity is urgently ***,a kind of hyperbranched polyacetal quaternary ammonium(Hyper-ace-QA)with efficiently antibacterial function were synthesized by a succession of efficient click *** high molecular weights can be obtained just after UV irradiation for 3 h,and the grafting ratio can be easily adjusted through controlling solvent system,molar ratio,and *** studies indicated that Hyper-ace-QA had good biocompatibility and can be used as a potential antibacterial *** importantly,after in situ encapsulation of bioactive curcumin drugs into the hyperbranched intramolecular cavities,the acid-liable acetal linkers within the hyperbranched backbone made the loading antibacterial drugs rapidly release with pH-or bacterial-responsive behaviors since many bacteria can produce acids at the infection site by the combined actions of immune response and bacterial ***,the integration of quaternary ammonium characteristics and pH-triggered curcumin release could facilitate the antibacterial activity against gram-positive Staphylococcus *** work represents a synergistic strategy on offering important guidance to rational design of multifunctional antimicrobial vehicles,which would be promising therapeutic alternatives for first aid treatment of wound infection in critical situations.
