Amorphous hybrid tungsten oxide–nickel hydroxide nanosheets used as a highly efficient electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction

There are more challenges for alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)via simultaneously expediting the electron-coupled water dissociation process(Volmer step)and the following electrochemical H_(2) desorption(Heyrovsky step).Hybrid amorphous electrocatalysts are highly desirable for efficient hydrogen evolution from water-alkali electrolyzers due to the bifunctionality for the different elementary steps of HER and optimal interactions with water molecules and the reactive hydrogen intermediates(Had).Herein,the synthesis of amorphous hybrid ultrathin(tungsten oxide/nickel hydroxide)hydrate(a-[WO_(3)/Ni(OH)_(2)]·0.2H_(2)O)nanosheets on nickel foam(NF)for efficient alkaline HER is *** structural and composition features of a-[WO_(3)/Ni(OH)_(2)]·0.2H_(2)O are characterized in *** resulting a-[WO_(3)/Ni(OH)_(2)]·0.2H_(2)O/NF electrocatalyst with the synergistic effect of both hybrid components for the HER elementary steps shows greatly improved the activity and durability for the HER with a low overpotential of-41 and-163 mV at-10 and-500 mA·cm^(-2),respectively,a Tafel slope as low as-72.9 mV·dec^(-1),and long-term stability of continuous electrolysis for at least 150 h accompanying by inappreciable overpotential change in 1 M *** the hybrid a-[WO_(3)/Ni(OH)_(2)]·0.2H_(2)O,Ni(OH)_(2) and WO_(3) moieties are separately responsible for accelerating dissociative adsorption of water and weakening Had adsorption strength,which is beneficial to the improvement of the alkaline HER activity.

Analysis on carbon emission reduction intensity of fuel cell vehicles from a life-cycle perspective

The hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is rapidly developing in China for carbon reduction and *** paper evaluated the life-cycle cost and carbon emission of hydrogen energy via lots of field surveys,including hydrogen production and packing in chlor-alkali plants,transport by tube trailers,storage and refueling in hydrogen refueling stations(HRSs),and application for use in two different *** also conducted a comparative study for battery electric vehicles(BEVs)and internal combustion engine vehicles(ICEVs).The result indicates that hydrogen fuel cell vehicle(FCV)has the best environmental performance but the highest energy ***,a sufficient hydrogen supply can significantly reduce the carbon intensity and FCV energy cost of the current *** carbon emission for FCV application has the potential to decrease by 73.1%in City A and 43.8%in City *** only takes 11.0%–20.1%of the BEV emission and 8.2%–9.8%of the ICEV *** cost of FCV driving can be reduced by 39.1%in City *** improvement can be obtained with an economical and“greener”hydrogen production pathway.

A new type of lipophilic hydrophobic self-repairing cellulose insulating paper developed with ST-110/FAS/PTFE ternary system as coating substrate

The moisture generated by the ageing of the oil-paper insulating system can easily lead to the deterioration of the performance of the insulating *** order to alleviate the impact of moisture on the performance of the insulating paper,we developed a kind of lipophilic hydrophobic self-repairing cellulose insulating paper(new insulating paper)based on the ternary system of polytetrafluoroethylene,fluorocarbon surfactant and fluorinated alkyl silane,and accelerated thermal ageing test for 45 days at 130°C was carried *** experimental results show that the new insulating paper with excellent lipophilic property can realise hydrophobic self-repairing through heat treatment after physical *** tensile strength and elongation at break of the new insulating paper increased by 5%–8%and 6.25%–27%respectively compared with the original cellulose insulating *** the end of ageing,the relative dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor of new insulating paper are 10.4%and 9.9%lower than that of the original cel-lulose insulating paper,while the breakdown voltage is 6.8%*** acid and moisture content produced during the ageing process of the insulating oil impregnated with new insulating paper are also less,indicating that the coating can delay the ageing of the insulating paper.

As the need for energy storage devices escalates,aqueous zincion batteries(ZIBs)have risen as a promising alternative to the widely used Li-ion batteries,offering intrinsic safety,environmental compatibility,and cost advantages,positioning them as attractive energy storage systems for the future[1,2].However,challenges such as dendrite growth on Zn anodes,stemming from uneven electric fields on the surface and active water side reactions,compromise cycling stability and lifespan,posing significant hurdles for the practical application of ZIBs[3,4].To mitigate these issues,strategies like electrolyte optimization,artificial solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)layers,and current collector modifications have been proposed[5,6].Nevertheless,most long-cycle experiments are conducted at low current densities and deposition capacities,with high current density and capacity operations typically lasting less than 1000 h[7].

despite transosseous rotator cuff tear repair using sutures is widely accepted for tendon-bone fixation,the fibrocartilaginous enthesis regeneration is still hardly achieved with the traditional *** the present work,degradable magnesium(Mg)alloy wire was applied to suture supraspinatus tendon in a rat acute rotator cuff tear model with Vicryl Plus 4±0 absorbable suture as *** shoulder joint humerus-supraspinatus tendon complex specimens were retrieved at 4,8,and 12 weeks after *** Mg alloy suture groups showed better biomechanical properties in terms of ultimate load to *** observation showed that hyperplastic response of the scar tissue at the tendon-bone interface is progressively alleviated over time in the both Mg alloy suture and Vicryl suture *** the histological analysis,for Mg alloy suture groups,chondrocytes appear to proliferate at 4 weeks postoperatively,and the tendon-bone interface showed an orderly structural transition zone at 8 weeks *** collagenous fiber tended to be aligned and the tendon-bone interlocking structures apparently formed,where transitional structure from unmineralized fibrocartilage to mineralized fibrocartilage was closer to the native fibrocartilaginous *** vivo degradation of the magnesium alloy wire was completed within 12 *** results indicated that Mg alloy wire was promising as degradable suture with the potential to promotes fibrocartilaginous interface regeneration in rotator cuff repair.

Particle Swarm Optimization Bat Algorithm Path Automatically Planning Research for Police Drones in Hilly Cities

Mountain cities are complex asymmetric dynamic network architectures,and the flight of UAVs in this environment is subject to various constraints,while efficiency is a crucial factor in the trajectory planning of police UAVs,which need to maintain high efficiency and safe flight paths between their starting and ending points,but the traditional trajectory planning method cannot meet the requirements of rapid maneuvering of police *** achieve this,a 3D terrain map is built,an objective function is established for the flight cost in the UAV trajectory planning process,and a planning algorithm called particle swarm optimization bat algorithm(PSOBA)is *** combines the characteristics of the bat algorithm(BA)and the particle swarm optimization algorithm(PSO)to improve population diversity and resolve the delayed convergence issue in the last phases of *** results show that PSOBA is more effective than BA,with a search time for the best solution that is approximately 20.43%shorter and a convergence value of the objective function that is approximately 38%*** is also able to plan a quicker,shorter,and safer flight path compared to other trail planning algorithms that enhance the bat *** findings suggest that PSOBA is a powerful algorithm with potential application value in UAV trajectory planning control in the mobile intelligence *** to the service of public social security.

Objective:To study the inhibitory effects on colorectal cancer(CRC)and the underlying mechanism of the petroleum ether extract of Aegiceras corniculatum leaves(PACL).Materials and Methods:The effect of PACL on the proliferation of CRC cell lines DLD-1,HT-29,and SW480was measured by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5-(3-carboxymethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium assay and colony-forming *** then,a wound-healing assay was used to measure the migration ability of three CRC *** cell cycle and apoptosis of three CRC cells were measured by PI/RNase staining and annexin V-FITC/double staining,respectively,and the intrinsic apoptosis pathway was studied by the Western *** anti-CRC effect of PACL in vivo was evaluated by HT-29 xenograft zebrafish ***:PACL inhibited cell viability and proliferation in DLD-1,HT-29,and SW480 cells in a dose-and time-dependent *** can inhibit cell migration in DLD-1and SW480 cells but not in the less mobile phenotype cell *** treatment resulted in cell cycle arrest of DLD-1 and HT-29 cells in the G2/M ***,PACL can induce apoptosis in all three CRC cells,which may be achieved by regulating the intrinsic apoptosis pathway mediated by mitochondria and the endoplasmic ***,the tumor sizes were decreased after treatment with PACL and PACL combined with fluorouracil in HT-29 xenograft zebrafish ***:These findings suggested that PACL may exert its anti-CRC effect by inducing apoptosis through the intrinsic apoptosis pathway and show a significant anti-CRC effect in vitro and in vivo,so it might be potentially developed as an anti-CRC agent.

Effect of Microstructural Characteristics on Fracture Toughness in Direct Energy deposited Novel Ti-6Al-4V-1Mo Alloy

Meeting the damage tolerance requirements for engineering-grade titanium alloys pose a significant challenge in achieving high fracture toughness in direct energy deposition(deD)titanium *** work primarily investigated the relationship between the microstructure and the fracture toughness of deD new Ti-6Al-4V-1Mo *** types of microstructures were designed via two process strategies:high-line energy density(HE)and low-line energy density(LE).Relative to LE samples,HE samples possess larger-sized microstructural characteristics(coarser grain boundaryα(α_(GB)),largerαcolonies,and coarserαlaths).Lessα/βphase boundaries were formed by coarserαlaths in the HE samples,increasing the movement of dislocations,resulting in tensile strength decreasing from 1007.1 MPa(LE)to 930.8 MPa(HE)and elongation increasing from 10.8%(LE)to 15.7%(HE).Also,HE samples exhibited an excellent fracture toughness of 114.0 MPa m^(1/2),significantly higher than that of LE samples(76.8 MPa m^(1/2)).An analysis of crack propagation paths was conducted to investigate the factors contributing to *** primary factor enhancing toughness is the frequent obstruction of cracks by coarseαGB and largeαcolonies in HE ***,the pretty large-angle deflections induced by the superposition effect of coarseαGB and largeαcolonies play a vital of significant *** factors induced the long and tortuous high-energy pathways,which resulted in ultimately improved fracture *** discovered microstructural toughening mechanisms can serve as a reference for future studies involving titanium alloys,offering insights on how to enhance fracture toughness by achieving similar characteristics.

Effect of micro-Al_(2)O_(3) powders on oxidation and corrosion behaviors of low-carbon MgO-C refractories

To solve the problem of poor high-temperature service performance caused by low carbonization of MgO-C refractories,low-carbon MgO–C refractories with excellent thermal shock,oxidation and corrosion resistances were successfully designed by using SiC whiskers as reinforcing phases and introducing micro-Al_(2)O_(3) powders as *** results indicated that the addition of micro-Al_(2)O_(3) powders optimized the internal structure of the material,like the columnar β-Si_(3)N_(4) with a stepped distribution and the mosaic structure formed between granular and flaky Mg_(2)SiO_(4),which synergistically strengthened and toughened the material and gave the material excellent mechanical properties and thermal shock ***,the cold modulus of rupture and cold crushing strength after thermal shock were increased by 4.1 and 20.3 MPa,***,the addition of micro-Al_(2)O_(3) powders promoted the formation of fine particles of Mg_(2)SiO_(4),MgAl_(2)O_(4) and MgO,as well as a dense protective layer of Mg_(2)SiO_(4) in the material under high-temperature ***,spinel and high-temperature solid solution were formed in the corrosion *** oxidation and corrosion resistances were greatly improved by 41%and 15%,respectively.
