普通用户电子设备使用距离的特征分析

目的:分析普通用户使用电子设备/电脑的工作距离(WD)及移动电话使用距离(MPUD)的特征。方法:横向描述性研究。经过筛选后,纳入每天使用电子设备/电脑超过2h的专业人员100例,年龄20-62(平均41.2)岁,测量每位受试者工作环境中使用电子设备/电脑的工作距离(WD)、手臂长度和MPUD。结果:纳入受检者WD明显长于MPUD(61.22±12.35 vs 32.22±6.35 cm;P<0.001),MPUD明显短于臂长(74.44±4.65 cm;P<0.001)。4%和91%的受检者WD和MPUD分别小于或等于40 cm。WD与MPUD、手臂长度均呈弱相关性(r=0.387,P<0.001;r=0.260,P<0.001)。不同职业受试者WD有显著差异(P=0.021),军队人员相比大学研究人员和讲师的WD更长(P=0.025)。结论:普通用户使用电子设备/电脑的工作距离与移动电话使用距离差别较大,移动电话使用距离较近,这对于矫正老视具有一定的参考意义。

Background: 70% of ovarian cancer cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage (III or IV) of the disease and, in turn, with a high prevalence of peritoneal carcinosis and ascites, which leads to progressive malnutrition in patients, with the consequent deterioration of their general condition. There is a very important relationship between nutritional status, quality of life, survival, and the ability to tolerate multidisciplinary treatment of peritoneal carcinosis. Methods: A phase II, open-label, single-center, non-randomised clinical trial was conducted that included 36 patients with advanced disease who were administered the nutritional supplement Ocoxin, 30 ml twice a day, beginning one week before chemotherapy (CT) based on carboplatin/paclitaxel, of which they receive three cycles with neoadjuvant intent. Ocoxin treatment was continued during chemotherapy and for three weeks after completion of the last cycle, as well as during any periods for which this treatment was discontinued due to toxicity. The effect of Ocoxin on the quality of life was assessed through the QLQ C30 and QLQ OV28 questionnaires from the start of treatment until the end of the follow-up period. In addition, the Karnofsky Index and nutritional parameters were assessed. Results: There were no significant differences between adverse events versus baseline values, except in leukocytes, lymphocytes, neutrophils, ALT, and AST. There was no deterioration of the QoL scales, except for those related to the effects of chemotherapy and alopecia. Conclusions: Ocoxin as an adjuvant to chemotherapy appears to improve better tolerance to chemotherapy, showed a good safety profile, and improved quality of life. For further information on Ocoxin neoadjuvant therapy benefits, a phase III clinical trial will be needed.

Comparison of Chemical and Functional Properties of Stevia rebaudiana(Bertoni)Varieties Cultivated in Mexican Southeast

The leaf powders from two varieties of Stevia rebaudiana (Bertoni) cultivated in Yucatan, Mexico were analyzed for their proximate composition, dietary fiber composition and functional properties. The leaf powders were a good source of carbohydrates (64.06%-67.98%), protein (12.11%-15.05%), and crudefiber (5.92%-9.52%). Total dietary fiber content in the S. rebaudiana leaf powders were 28.61 (Morita II) and 29.12 (Criolla) g/100g sample, with most of this content represented by insoluble dietary fiber 87.79% (Morita II) and 70.02% (Criolla). Neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber (ADF) and acid detergent lignin (ADL) were higher in Criolla (19.29%, 17.77%, 8.98%) than Morita II variety (18.11%, 14.16%, 2.28%). Hemicellulose and cellulose were higher in Morita II (3.96%, 11.78%) than criolla variety (1.51%, 8.79%). Functional properties of leaf powder from Morita II and Criolla were, water-holding capacity (2.87-4.07 g/g sample), oil-holding capacity (6.49-6.79 g/g sample), water-absorption capacity (3.41-3.44 g/g sample), water-adsorption capacity (0.25-0.28 g/g sample), and organic molecule absorption capacity (1.13-1.81 g/g sample). These suggest that S. rebaudiana (Bertoni) leaf powders may be used as dietary supplement or as food additive.

Acinetobacter baumannii is one of the most prevalent pathogens in nosocomial infections and has been cause of concern in recent years because, it has presented multiresistance to antibiotics and besides can form biofilms on biotic and abiotic surfaces like tissues and medical devices. Therefore, the search for new alternatives of natural origin to inhibit biofilm formation is being conducted. In the present investigation, sub-lethal concentrations (5.61 mg/mL, 3.74 mg/mL and 1.87 mg/mL) of methanolic extract of Nothoscordum bivalve were evaluated, showing biofilm formation inhibition up to 40.8%, in one nosocomial isolated of A. baumannii by the microtiter biofilm formation assay using crystal violet. On the other hand, the concentrations of 5.61 mg/mL and 3.74 mg/mL, caused an overexpression (up to 15.4 times) in the genes involved in the formation of biofilm (abaI, bap and csuE);due to this, the interaction of the extract with the bacteria was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and cellular damage was observed in the structure and stability of biofilm.

[背景]产前暴露于双酚A（BPA）及邻苯二甲酸酯会影响胎儿发育；然而该类研究很少，且得出的结果不一致。[目的]对一个西班牙出生队列中488对母婴进行研究，评估产前暴露于BPA及邻苯二甲酸酯是否与胎儿发育相关。[方法]检测第一和第三孕期两次尿液样本中BPA及8种邻苯二甲酸酯[4种邻苯二甲酸二（2-乙基己基）酯代谢物（DEHPm），邻苯二甲酸单卞酯（MBzP）以及3种低分子量邻苯二甲酸酯代谢物（LMWPm）]。另外，估计股骨长度（FL）、头围（HC）、腹围（AC）、双顶径（BPD）的生长曲线，估计孕期（12—20周，20～34周）的胎儿体重，并测量出生体重、出生长度、出生头围以及胎盘重量。[结果]总体上，结果并不支持孕期暴露于BPA或DEHPm与胎儿发育参数相关。产前MBzP暴露与20～34孕周的FL呈正相关，MBzP浓度每增加一倍，平均FL增加3．7％（95％CI：0．75，6．63％）。MBzP与男婴出生体重呈正相关（48g；95％CI：6，90），但在女婴中没有相关性（-27g；95％CI：-79，25）（交互作用P=0．04）。LMWPm邻苯二甲酸单丁酯（MnBP）与12—20孕周的HC呈负相关[平均HC降低了4．88％（95％CI：-8．36，-1．36％）]。[结论]本研究首次将暴露生物标志重复测量值与胎儿期多种发育参数相结合，发现暴露于BPA或邻苯二甲酸酯与胎儿发育不相关。邻苯二甲酸酯代谢物MBzP与MnBP与部分胎儿发育参数相关，但这些结果还需要重复验证。

Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide, representing a major public health problem. There is still little information comparing the satisfaction of the patients who finished their process against the ones who start it but did not finish it. The aim of our retrospective study was to analyze the results in terms of satisfaction after one year of undergoing to complete breast reconstruction (CBR) vs incomplete breast reconstruction (IBR). Materials and Methods: Retrospective study of patients that underwent breast reconstruction (BR) surgery after mastectomy for breast cancer treatment. Performed at Hospital Central Sur de Alta Especialidad PEMEX in Mexico City, including patients from January 1, 2015 to January 01, 2020. Demographic baseline variables were included. BREAST-Q satisfaction questionnaires one year after the last reconstructive procedure were analyzed. Results: A total of 44 patients fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Of these 44 patients, 11 were included in the IBR group, and 33 patients in the CBR group. There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in terms of age (IBR 56.09 vs CBR 53.06 years, p = 0.321);BMI (IBR 27.94 vs CBR 26.40, p = 0.253), time from mastectomy to first reconstructive procedure (IBR 22.8 vs CBR 31 months, p = 0.957), history of chemotherapy (IBR 27.3% vs CBR 33.3%, p = 0.709) and radiotherapy (IBR 54.5% vs CBR 42.4%, p = 0.484), additionally type of reconstruction, affected side or complication rate were not significantly different. Regarding postoperative satisfaction, only the second module of satisfaction with breasts displayed statistically significant differences, with a higher score in the CBR group (46.27 vs 52.27, p = 0.019). Other items explored didn’t show significant differences.
