AIM To investigate the clinicopathological significance of progesterone receptor membrane component 1(PGRMC1) and PGRMC2 in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). METHODS We performed immunohistochemical staining to evaluate the estrogen receptor(ER), progesterone receptor(PR), PGRMC1, and PGRMC2 in a clinical cohort consisting of 89 paired HCC and non-tumor liver samples. We also analyzed HCC data(n = 373) from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA). We correlated the expression status of PGRMC1 and PGRMC2 with clinicopathological indicators and the clinical outcomes of the HCC patients. We knocked down or overexpressed PGRMC1 in HCC cell lines to evaluate its biological significance in HCC cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, and invasion. RESULTS We found that few HCC cases expressed ER(5.6%) and PR(4.5%). In contrast, most HCC cases expressed PGRMC1(89.9%) and PGRMC2(100%). PGRMC1 and PGRMC2 exhibited significantly lower expression in tumor tissue than in non-tumor tissue(P poorer tumor differentiation(P = 0.045) and liver capsule penetration(P = 0.038). Low PGRMC1 expression was an independent predictor for worse disease-free survival(P = 0.002, HR = 2.384,CI: 1.377-4.128) in our cases, as well as in the TCGA cohort(P poorly differentiated phenotype and proliferation of HCC cells in vitro, while PGRMC1 overexpression caused the opposite *** PGRMC1 is a non-classical hormonal receptor that negatively regulates hepatocarcinogenesis. PGRMC1 down-regulation is associated with progression of HCC and is a poor prognostic indicator.

Type Ⅳ paraesophageal hernia(PEH) is very rare, and is characterized by the intrathoracic herniation of the abdominal viscera other than the stomach into the chest. We describe a 78-year-old woman who presented at our emergency department because of epigastric pain that she had experienced over the past 24 h. On the day after admission, her pain became severe and was accompanied by right chest pain and dyspnea. Chest radiography revealed an intrathoracic intestinal gas bubble occupying the right lower lung field. Emergency explorative laparotomy identified a type Ⅳ PEH with herniation of only the terminal ileum through a hiatal defect into the right thoracic cavity. In this report, we also present a review of similar cases in the literature published between 1980 and 2015 in Pub Med. There were four published cases of small bowel herniation into the thoracic cavity during this period. Our patient represents a rare case of an individual diagnosed with type Ⅳ PEH with incarceration of only the terminal ileum.

Microalgae cultivation has gained tremendous attention in recent years due to its great potential in green biofuel production and wastewater treatment application. Membrane technology is a great solution in separating the microalgae biomass while producing high quality of permeate for recycling. The main objective of this study was to investigate the filtration performance of Ag/GO-PVDF(silver/graphene oxide-polyvinylidene fluoride) membrane in an algalmembrane photoreactor(A-MPR) by benchmarking with a commercial PVDF(com-PVDF) membrane. In this study, Chlorella vulgaris microalgae was cultivated in synthetic wastewater in an A-MPR for ammoniacal-nitrogen and phosphorus recovery and the wastewater was further filtered using Ag/GO-PVDF and com-PVDF membranes to obtain high quality water. Spectrophotometer was used to analyze the chemical oxidation demand(COD), ammoniacal nitrogen(NH3-N) and phosphate(po43-). The concentration of proteins and carbohydrates was measured using Bradford method and phenol-sulfuric acid method, respectively. The COD of the synthetic wastewater was reduced from(180.5 ± 5.6) ppm to(82 ± 2.6) ppm due to nutrient uptake by microalgae. Then, the Ag/GO-PVDF membrane was used to further purify the microalgae cultivated wastewater, resulting in a low COD permeate of(31 ± 4.6) ppm. The high removal rate of proteins(100%) and carbohydrates(86.6%) as the major foulant in microalgae filtration, with low membrane fouling propensity of Ag/GO-PVDF membrane is advantageous for the sustainable development of the microalgae production. Hence, the integrated A-MPR system is highly recommended as a promising approach for microalgae cultivation and wastewater polishing treatment.

本文将民族舞蹈视为记载不同民族历史的史册和文化宝藏,因为其经历数千年的文化沉淀,汇聚出一种核心精华,能够解释不同民族的发展过程。第一,本文论述了民族舞的根源。文中指出,民族乐韵为原居民族舞蹈的灵魂,源于该地居民的语言发展而出现的敲击、歌唱、音乐。居民为了生存聚集起来,共同对付天灾人祸,因而产生求雨、感恩、庆丰、婚礼、诞生或葬礼的聚会。但因当时的文明发展所限,他们只能模仿当时日常所见的事物,以人体基本的动作来表达,图形则以大地天然的日、月、山、河为主;手拉手围成圆圈表示团结的力量。各地的民族舞都受自然力量或自然因素的影响,因为居住地的地理环境、天气等因素会影响该民族的性格。古代民族舞寄情于大自然的美景中,重视对神明的敬奉,服饰与当地的天气、农作物等吻合,取材于当地的天然产物。当时的人们生活简单,热爱自然。他们的民族舞在现代人看来太简单,缺乏创意,但对于历史学家、舞蹈家、音乐家和人类学家来说,却是一个文化宝藏。第二,本文分析了民族舞的衰落。战争削弱或毁灭了曾经辉煌的国家或朝代,而胜利者消灭的往往是战败国的文化。而今人类则进入全球一体化的时代。科技发展一日千里,卫星转播的普及,世界每一个角落发生的大事小情,只要很短时间便可利用影像传达到各地,扩大了人类的接触面,也拓宽了人们的视野;交通发达,异族通婚,移民也把人类文化的距离愈拉愈近,融合为一体,这也是民族舞衰落的原因。现在世界各国亦把民族舞称为地区民间舞。第三,本文通过对香港舞蹈影响直接的英国民族舞蹈进行个案分析和解码,揭示民族舞蹈发展的规律。早期北欧维京、盎格鲁一萨克逊的遗留只有对言语上有影响,原始舞蹈方面与世界原始民族舞的发展大同小异,如五月柱舞、剑舞,本土则有莫里斯舞和赫尔斯顿-弗里舞蹈。而16世纪宗教与战争对舞蹈的影响,形成了今天的英国民族舞独特的风格:舞蹈开始及完结之前,舞者向左、右行礼——礼仪之邦;舞步简单,频繁变换动作——注意音乐及动作的改变;没有男女双人舞——避免挑逗、谈情的机会;没有领舞者,舞者动作一致——人权平等;舞步平衡,舞步向前则必向后返回原地,向右则必向左返回原地——平衡中立的概念;自然、轻快、有节奏的摆动,闲雅的姿态——象征仕女、绅士的修养;民族音乐在高低的音阶往复——象征英国民族的含蓄性格,喜怒情绪不轻易表露。第四,本文揭示了音乐对舞蹈的影响。文中指出,音乐韵律的改变引领着舞蹈的演变。18世纪的华尔兹源于奥地利民族舞兰德勒舞曲。加速为3/8拍的成为快华尔兹,重拍在第二拍的成为玛祖卡和波兰舞曲,节奏为2/4和4/4拍的为波尔卡。这些音乐和舞蹈成为当时上流社会的舞会宠儿。当时有名的作曲家包括李斯特、肖邦和施特劳斯等。20世纪初期,俄国艺术处于盛世,著名的音乐家如穆索斯基、里姆斯基-柯萨科夫将民间音乐融合到自己的作品当中;柴柯夫斯基和格林卡在彼蒂帕的舞剧《天鹅湖》《胡桃夹子》等中加入民间音乐。第五,本文讨论了民族舞的推广问题。文章指出,民族舞的推广在北京舞蹈学院主要有两种方式。第一种是教师到原居民的节日活动中取材。第二种是邀请原居民最具代表的舞者到学院示范,教授学院中的专业老师;然后由学院组织老师规划课程,举办教师考试班、学生考试班。文章进而以英国皇家舞蹈教师协会的拉丁舞分支为例,介绍南美拉丁舞成功推广的例子。拉丁舞分支派出专业的老师独自到原居民的地区住居一段时期,了解舞蹈技巧和居民的生活方式、情感和表达等,然后组成一个专家团一起研究舞蹈的特点和技术。他们编写的教材受到各国认可。从考试到世界比赛,拉丁舞的表演风靡全球。另外,拉丁舞作为健身项目,有些甚至改为集体舞,得到普及。至于民族舞的推广,可以将其作为表演、比赛的项目,以民族的历史故事为基础创作舞剧,在电视、电影中演出,或将其写进教材等,从而达到推广的目的。

Multi-technique characterizations of main elements in the vehicle exhaust particles collected in a tunnel in Shnaghai

In this study,vehicle exhaust particles were collected three locations (the middle,entrance and outside) of the Dapu Road tunnel in downtown Shanghai,and the particle samples were characterized using SEM,XAFS,ICP-MS and M?ssbauer spectrometry,and the oxidative damage was assessed by plasmid *** iron-containing particles are found from vehicle exhaust,and iron oxide is the major species in all *** concentration in the particles inside the tunnel is higher than that the outside *** iron particles inside the tunnel have higher proportion of water-soluble fraction in hydrous iron sulfate form or smaller ***2 is the main soluble fraction in zinc-containing particles,while higher percentage of insoluble fraction existed in the particles outside of *** species of lead-containing particles are PbSO4,Pb3(po4)2 and *** addition,the soluble fraction of other transition metallic elements as Ti and V is higher in the particles inside the tunnel than that outside the *** plasmid DNA assay results indicate that the particles from vehicle exhaust have a stronger oxidative damage and inflammation than that from outside of the tunnel.

A 69-year-old man with multiple skin lesions on his face, neck and upper torso, which first appeared in the 3rd decade of his life, was admitted to our hospital. He had cystic changes in his lungs noted on chest computed to- mography （CT） scanning, as well as a left kidney mass. This patient exhibited a rare complex of renal, cutaneous and pulmonary manifestations, eponymously named Birt-Hogg-Dube syndrome, with characteristic skin features （fibrofolliculomas, trichodiscomas and acrochordons）. This syndrome is due to an autosomal dominant germ-line mutation of thefolliculin （FLCN） gene located at chromosome 17p11.2. Diagnosis and differentiation from other disease complexes including the skin, kidneys and lungs are important in prognostication and management of po- tentially life-threatening complications such as renal cell carcinoma and pneumothoraces.
