An Agent-Oriented Modelling Approach for Agile Manufacturing

The dynamic variations in demand patterns and produ ct mix, driven by unpredictable changes in a global market, are placing manufactur ing systems under significant pressure. In order to remain competitive, manu facturing organisations must satisfy demands timely. This implies that companies must increase product varieties, reduce time-to-market, shorten product-life cycles and at the same time maintain good quality and reduce investment costs. Conventional methodologies for planning and control have been found to be inadeq uate in meeting these challenges. Agile manufacturing is the state-of-the-art concept that provides enterprises with the opportunity to react rapidly and cos t-effectively to changes that occur in their environment. Several paradigms suc h as Holonic Manufacturing Systems (HMS), Bionic Manufacturing Systems (BMS) and Fractal Factory have been developed to enable manufacturing systems achieve agi lity by integrating manufacturing activities into a coordinated framework. Despi te the differences in their origin (HMS from social organisation, BMS from biolo gy and Fractal Factory from Mathematics), these paradigms have overlapping conce pts and one of the most important is hierarchical organisational structure. This paper presents a conceptual hierarchically structured multi-agent architec ture for manufacturing systems’ modelling. Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) provide su itable techniques for implementing the above concepts and as a branch of Distrib uted Artificial Intelligence (DAI), have characteristics that have been explored in various applications. Such characteristics include self-organisation, flexi bility, scalability, and robustness. The proposed architecture provides a suit able decision-making framework where each agent represents a node in the hier archic tree of manufacturing systems such as the company as whole, each plant wi thin the company, each cell or line within the plant, each machine in a cell or line. Real-time solution of nonlinear potential flow equations for lifting rotors

Analysis of rotorcraft dynamics requires solution of the rotor induced flow ***,the appropriate model to be used for induced flow is nonlinear potential flow theory（which is the basis of vortex-lattice methods）.These nonlinear potential flow equations sometimes must be solved in real time––such as for real-time flight simulation,when observers are needed for controllers,or in preliminary design *** this paper,the major effects of nonlinearities on induced flow are studied for lifting rotors in low-speed flight and *** approach is to use a nonlinear statespace model of the induced flow based on a Galerkin treatment of the potential flow equations.

在排污管道系统中,地下水的渗入是个普遍问题。随着管材的老化,地下水可通过破损的管壁或接口处渗入管中,渗入的地下水会给环境带来危害并造成经济损失,是一个值得关注的重要问题。为了评估地下水渗入量,发达国家的学者发展并提出了三种定量方法:水量平衡法,同位素示踪法以及污染物负荷法,其中水量平衡法是传统的方法,而后两种方法是近几年提出的新方法。详细介绍了三种方法的原理和特点,通过对比发现:传统的水量平衡法精度低,误差大,但可实施性强,费用低;同位素示踪法精度高,误差小,但对区域水文条件有特定要求,且评估费用高。经综合比较分析后认为,污染物负荷法将是一种有希望得到普遍应用的方法。

Revisiting the Epoch of Cosmic Acceleration

We revisit the epoch of cosmic speed-up characteriz.d by the redshift of transition from a decelerated to an accelerated *** redshift is termed the transition redshift(z.(t)).We use the spatially flat and non-flat variants of the most commonΛCDM and XCDM models to put constraints on the transition redshift along with the other model *** data for this analysis come from the recent and updated Pantheon+supernova(SN)data set and the Hubble parameter measurements obtained from Cosmic *** consider both data sets with their respective covariance matrices incorporating all statistical and systematic *** observe that using the combined data sets of H(z.and SNe,the best fit value of transition redshift lies in the range 0.61z.(t)<0.79 for all four dark energy ***,we observe a positive curvature for the non-flat models,correlations between several model parameters and a strong degeneracy between the curvature and the equation of state parameter.

Endoscopic submucosal dissection training with pig models in a Western country

AIM:To test a strategy for endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) training in animal models designed to overcome the initial learning ***:ESD was attempted in ex vivo and in vivo pig *** ESD procedures were attempted in the esophagus(n=9) or the stomach(n=21).The ex vivo model was used until initial competence was *** the in vivo model,several ESD procedures were performed in up to 3 *** following variables were analyz.d:specimen siz.,complete and en bloc resection rate,time for circumferential incision,time for submucosal dissection,total ESD duration,and ***:Complete resection was achieved in 28 cases(en bloc 27);2 could not be completed(one perforation,one technical diff iculty).The mean ± SD time for circumferential incision was 36.2±16.8 min(range:8-87 min),and the mean±SD time for submucosal dissection was 45.1±35.7 min(range:9-196 min).The mean±SD siz. of the resected specimens was 45.2±17.8 *** mean±SD total resection time was signif icantly increased for the gastric cases performed in the f irst half of the study(n=13) than in the second half(n=8)(98.9±62.4 min vs 61.7±17.6 min,P=0.04),although the specimen siz. did not ***:Training in animal models could help endoscopists overcome the learning curve before starting ESD in humans.

AIM:To validate high definition endoscopes with Fujinon intelligent chromoendoscopy(FICE) in ***:The image quality of normal white light endoscopy(WLE),that of the 10 available FICE filters and that of a gold standard(0.2% indigo carmine dye) were ***:FICE-filter 4 [red,green,and blue(RGB) wavelengths of 520,500,and 405 nm,respectively] provided the best images for evaluating the vascular pattern compared to white *** mucosal surface was best assessed using filter ***,the views obtained were not rated significantly better than those observed with white *** "gold standard",indigo carmine(IC) dye,was found to be superior to both white light and filter *** 6(RGB wavelengths of 580,520,and 460 nm,respectively) allowed for exploration of the IC-stained *** assessing mucosal polyps,both FICE with magnification,and magnification following dye spraying were superior to the same techniques without magnification and to white light *** the presence of suboptimal bowel preparation,observation with the FICE mode was possible,and endoscopists considered it to be superior to observation with white ***:FICE-filter 4 with magnification improves the image quality of the colonic vascular patterns obtained with WLE.

Ectophylla alba is a tent-making bat that roosts in mixed-sex clusters comprising adults and *** goal was to determine the genetic identity of individuals belonging to different roosting *** tested the hypothesis of kin selection as a major force structuring group *** used 9 microsatellites designed for *** to determine the genetic identity and probability of parentage of *** analyz.d parentage and kinship using the software ML-Relate,GenAIEx,and *** obtained relationship probabilities(0.5)revealed a clear maternal relationship between female adults and offspring with allele compatibility,and at least 5 relationships between male adults and *** found a low degree of relatedness within roosting *** roosting groups at different sites,the mean probability of a half-sibling relationship ranged from 0.214 to 0.244 and,for full-sibling relationship,from 0.383 to ***,adult individuals were poorly related within clusters,and kinship as an evolutionary force could not explain group membership.
