Background Cerebral cavernous malformations(CCms)frequently manifest with *** radiosurgery(SRS)has been employed for CCm not suitable for *** effect on reducing haemorrhage risk is still *** aim of this study was to expand on the safety and efficacy of SRS for haemorrhagic *** this retrospective multicentric study included CCm with at least one haemorrhage treated with single-session *** annual haemorrhagic rate(AHR)was calculated before and after *** event analysis and Cox regression were used to evaluate factors associated with *** radiation effects(AREs)and occurrence of new neurological deficits were *** the study included 381 patients (median age:37.5 years(Q1–Q3:25.8–51.9))with 414 *** AHR from diagnosis to SRS excluding the first haemorrhage was 11.08 per 100 CCm-years and was reduced to 2.7 per 100 CCm-years after *** recurrent event analysis,SRS,HR 0.27(95%CI 0.17 to 0.44),pted with a decreased risk of haemorrhage,and the presence of developmental venous anomaly(DVA)with an increased risk,HR 1.60(95%CI 1.07 to 2.40),p=*** cumulative risk of first haemorrhage after SRS was 9.4%(95%CI 6%to 12.6%)at 5 years and 15.6%(95%CI%9 to 21.8%)at 10 *** doses>13 Gy,HR 2.27(95%CI 1.20 to 4.32),p=0.012 and the presence of DVA,HR 2.08(95%CI 1.00 to 4.31),p=0.049 were factors associated with higher probability of post-SRS ***-SRS haemorrhage was symptomatic in 22 out of 381(5.8%)patients,presenting with transient(15/381)or permanent(7/381)neurological *** occurred in 11.1%(46/414)CCm and was responsible for transient neurological deficit in 3.9%(15/381)of the patients and permanent deficit in 1.1%(4/381)of the *** doses>13 Gy and CCm volume>0.7 cc were associated with increased risk of ARE.

Impact of cancer diagnosis on life expectancy by area-level socioeconomic groups in new South Wales, Australia: a population-based study

Objective: Improvement in cancer survival over recent decades has not been accompanied by a narrowing of socioeconomic disparities. this study aimed to quantify the loss of life expectancy(LOLE) resulting from a cancer diagnosis and examine disparities in LOLE based on area-level socioeconomic status(SES).methods: Data were collected for all people between 50 and 89 years of age who were diagnosed with cancer, registered in the nSW Cancer Registry between 2001 and 2019, and underwent mortality follow-up evaluations until December 2020. Flexible parametric survival models were fitted to estimate the LOLE by gender and area-level SES for 12 common ***: Of 422,680 people with cancer, 24% and 18% lived in the most and least disadvantaged areas, respectively. Patients from the most disadvantaged areas had a significantly greater average LOLE than patients from the least disadvantaged areas for cancers with high survival rates, including prostate [2.9 years(95% CI: 2.5±3.2 years) vs. 1.6 years(95% CI: 1.3±1.9 years)] and breast cancer [1.6 years(95% CI: 1.4±1.8 years) vs. 1.2 years(95% CI: 1.0±1.4 years)]. the highest average LOLE occurred in males residing in the most disadvantaged areas with pancreatic [16.5 years(95% CI: 16.1±16.8 years) vs. 16.2 years(95% CI: 15.7±16.7 years)] and liver cancer [15.5 years(95% CI: 15.0±16.0 years) vs. 14.7 years(95% CI: 14.0±15.5 years)]. Quantification of perfluorinated compounds in atmospheric particulate shows potential connection with environmental event

A method of quantification of perfluorinated compounds(PFCs)from atmospheric particulate matter(APm)is described.A single step pretreatment method,selective pressurized liquid extraction(SPLE),was developed to reduce the high matrix background and avoid contamination from commonly used multiple sample pretreatment *** effective sorbent was selected to purify the PFCs during SPLE,followed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(LC–mS/mS),for quantification of *** affecting the SPLE efficiency,including temperature,static extraction time,and number of extraction cycles used,were *** optimum conditions were found to be 120℃,10 min,and 3 cycles,***-mS/mS method was developed to obtain the optimal sensitivity specific to *** method detection limits(mDLs)were 0.006 to 0.48 ng/g for the PFCs studied and the linear response range was from 0.1 to 100 ng/*** ensure accurate values were obtained,each step of the experiment was evaluated and controlled to prevent *** optimized method was tested by performing spiking experiments in natural particulate matter matrices and good rates of recovery and reproducibility were obtained for all target ***,the method was successfully used to measure 16 PFCs in the APm samples collected in Beijing over five years from 2015 to *** is observed that some PFCs follow the trend of total PFC changes,and can be attributed to the environment influencing events and policy enforcement,while others don't seem to change as much with time of the year or from year to year.

Chemically engineered agricultural products such as pesticides, insecticides, and herbicides, although used considerably for both industrialized and personal agricultural use, have recently been associated with a number of serious human health disorders. this rapid literature review aims to accumulate and analyze research from the last ten years, focusing specifically on the effects of exposure to glyphosate-based herbicide products such as Roundup as associated with the formation of various neurological disorders. Specifically, this review focuses on laboratory research using animal models or human cell cultures as well as human population-based epidemiological studies. It associates exposure to glyphosate or glyphosate-based products with the formation or exacerbation of neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, seizures, and autism spectrum disorder. In addition, it examines the correlation between the gut-brain axis, exposure to glyphosate, and neurodegeneration.

Augmented Reality(AR),as a novel data visualization tool,is advantageous in revealing spatial data patterns and data-context ***,recent research has identified AR data visualization as a promising approach to increasing decision-making efficiency and *** a result,AR has been applied in various decision support systems to enhance knowledge conveying and comprehension,in which the different data-reality associations have been constructed to aid ***,how these AR visualization strategies can enhance different decision support datasets has not been reviewed *** given the rise of big data in the modern world,this support is critical to decision-making in the coming *** AR to embed the decision support data and explanation data into the end user’s physical surroundings and focal contexts avoids isolating the human decision-maker from the relevant *** the decision-maker’s contexts and the DSS support in AR is a difficult *** paper outlines the current state of the art through a literature review in allowing AR data visualization to support *** facilitate the publication classification and analysis,the paper proposes one taxonomy to classify different AR data visualization based on the semantic associations between the AR data and physical *** on this taxonomy and a decision support system taxonomy,37 publications have been classified and analyzed from multiple *** of the contributions of this literature review is a resulting AR visualization taxonomy that can be applied to decision support *** with this novel tool,the paper discusses the current state of the art in this field and indicates possible future challenges and directions that AR data visualization will bring to support decision-making.
