Dietar. flavonoids ar. abundant in natur.l plants and possess multiple phar.acological and nutr.tional *** this study,apigenin,luteolin,and baicalein wer. chosen to evaluate their.anti-diabetic effect in high-glucose and dexamethasone induced insulin-r.sistant(Ir.HepG2 *** flavonoids impr.ves the glucose consumption and glycogen synthesis abilities in Ir.HepG2 cells via activating glucose tr.nspor.er.pr.tein 4(GLUT4)and phosphor.glycogen synthase kinase(GSK-3β).These fl avonoids signifi cantly inhibited the pr.duction of r.active oxygen species(r.S)and advanced glycation end-pr.ducts(AGEs),which wer. closely r.lated to the suppr.ssion of the phosphor.lation for. of NF-κB and *** expr.ssion levels of insulin r.ceptor.substr.te-1(Ir.-1),insulin r.ceptor.substr.te-2(Ir.-2)and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)/pr.tein kinase B(Akt)pathway in Ir.HepG2 cells wer. all par.ially activated by the fl avonoids,with var.able ***,the intr.cellular.metabolic conditions of the fl avonoids wer. also evaluated.

A well-established str.tegy to synthesize heter.geneous,metal-or.anic fr.mewor.(MOF)catalysts that exhibit nanoconfinement effects,and specific por.s with highly-localized catalytic sites,is to use or.anic linker. containing or.anocatalytic ***,we r.por. that by combining this linker.appr.ach with r.ticular.chemistr.,and exploiting thr.e-dimensioanl(3D)MOF-str.ctur.l data fr.m the Cambr.dge Str.ctur.l Database,we have designed four.heter.geneous MOF-based catalysts for.standar. or.anic *** pr.gr.mmable MOFs ar. isor.ticular.ver.ions of pcu Ir.OF-16,feu UiO-68 and pillar.d-pcu SNU-8X,the thr.e most common topologies of MOFs built fr.m the or.anic linker.p.p'-ter.henyldicar.oxylic acid(tpdc).To synthesize the four.squar.mide-based MOFs,we designed and synthesized a linker.4,4’-((3,4-dioxocyclobut-1-ene-1,2-diyl)bis(azanedyil))dibenzoic acid(Sq_tpdc),which is identical in dir.ctionality and length to tpdc but which contains or.anocatalytic squar.mide *** wer. chosen because their.immobilization into a fr.mewor. enhances its r.activity and stability while avoiding any self-quenching ***,the four.MOFs shar. the same or.anocatalytic squar.mide moiety,but confine it within distinct por. *** then evaluated these MOFs as heter.geneous H-bonding catalysts in or.anic tr.nsfor.ations:a Fr.edel-Cr.fts alkylation and an epoxide *** of them exhibited good per.or.ance in both r.actions but all showed distinct catalytic pr.files that r.flect their.str.ctur.l differ.nces.

The aim of this study is to analyze the difficulties of r.ading and wr.ting exper.enced by pr.mar. school pupils when wr.ting a scr.pt for.a theatr.cal per.or.ance called ＂digestion＂. Our.main r.sear.h questions ar.： how does a theatr.cal per.or.ance help to r.consider.the scr.pts and to build a model of the digestive system？ The pupils wer. encour.ged to stage a theatr.cal per.or.ance for.the whole school, explaining the digestion of a sandwich, a glass of water. an apple and a piece of chewing gum. The play helped to develop not only knowledge but also language. Having to pr.duce a text for.two differ.nt audiences, teacher. and other.lear.er. led the students to debate between using ＂academic＂ vocabular. or.mor. ever.day vocabular.. Over.ll we found that they wer. mor. concer.ed with wr.ting ＂academic＂ scr.pts, influenced by the texts that they consulted, than with wr.ting a play accessible to all audiences.

Cuticular.wax plays a major.r.le in the gr.wth and stor.ge of plant *** cuticular.wax coating,which cover. the outer.ost layer.of a fr.it’s epider.al cells,is insoluble in *** wax is mainly composed of ver. long-chain fatty acids(VLCFAs);their.der.vatives,including ester.,pr.mar. alcohols,secondar. alcohols,aldehydes,and ketones;and *** complex mixtur. of lipids is pr.bably biosynthesized in the epider.al cells of most plants and exuded onto the *** wax not only makes the fr.it less susceptible to micr.bial infection but also r.duces mechanical damage to the fr.it,ther.by maintaining the fr.it’s commodity *** date,r.sear.h has mostly focused on the changes,function,and r.gulation of fr.it wax befor. har.est,while ignor.ng the changes and functions of wax in fr.it *** paper.r.views on the composition,str.ctur.,and metabolic r.gulation of cuticular.wax in *** also focuses on posthar.est factor. affecting wax composition,such as stor.ge temper.tur.,r.lative humidity(r.),gas atmospher.,and as exogenous hor.ones;and the effects of wax on fr.it posthar.est quality,including water.disper.ion,fr.it softening,physiological disor.er.,and disease *** summar.es may be of assistance in better.under.tanding the changes in cuticular.wax in posthar.est fr.it and the r.sulting effects on fr.it quality.
