As metabolic center., plant or.anelles par.icipate in maintenance, defense, and signaling. MSH1 is a plant- specific pr.tein involved in or.aneUar.genome stability in mitochondr.a and plastids. Plastid depletion of MSH1 causes her.table, non-genetic changes in development and DNA methylation. We investigated the r.sh I phenotype using hemi-complementation mutants and tr.nsgene-null segr.gants fr.m r.Ai suppr.s- sion lines to sub-compar.mentalize MSH1 effects. We show that MSH1 expr.ssion is spatially r.gulated, specifically localizing to plastids within the epider.is and vascular.par.nchyma. The pr.tein binds DNA and localizes to plastid and mitochondr.al nucleoids, but fr.ctionation and pr.tein-pr.tein inter.ctions data indicate that MSH1 also associates with the thylakoid membr.ne. Plastid MSH1 depletion r.sults in var.egation, abiotic str.ss toler.nce, var.able gr.wth r.te, and delayed matur.ty. Depletion fr.m mitochon- dr.a r.sults in 7%-10% of plants alter.d in leaf mor.hology, heat toler.nce, and mitochondr.al genome sta- bility. MSH1 does not localize within the nucleus dir.ctly, but plastid depletion pr.duces non-genetic changes in flower.ng time, matur.tion, and gr.wth r.te that ar. her.table independent of MSH 1. MSH1 deple- tion alter. non-photoactive r.dox behavior.in plastids and a sub-set of mitochondr.ally alter.d lines. Ectopic expr.ssion pr.duces deleter.ous effects, under.ining its str.ct expr.ssion contr.l. AIM： To investigate the bacter.cidal and anti-adhesive pr.per.ies of 25 plants against Helicobacter.pylor. （H pylon）. METHODS： Twenty-five plants wer. boiled in water.to pr.duce aqueous extr.cts that simulate the effect of cooking. The bacter.cidal activity of the extr.cts was assessed by a standar. kill-cur.e with seven str.ins of H pylor.. The anti-adhesive pr.per.y was assessed by the inhibition of binding of four.str.ins of FITC-labeled Hpylor. to stomach sections. r.SULTS： Of all the plants tested, eight plants, including Bengal quince, nightshade, gar.ic, dill, black pepper. cor.ander. fenugr.ek and black tea, wer. found to have no bacter.cidal effect on any of the isolates. Columbo weed, long pepper. par.ley, tar.agon, nutmeg, yellow-ber.ied nightshade, thr.adstem car.etweed, sage and cinnamon had bacter.cidal activities against Hpylor., but total inhibition of gr.wth was not achieved in this study. Among the plants that killed H pylor., tur.er.c was the most efficient, followed by cumin, ginger. chilli, bor.ge, black car.way, or.gano and liquor.ce. Mor.over. extr.cts of tur.er.c, bor.ge and par.ley wer. able to inhibit the adhesion of H pylor. str.ins to the stomach sections. CONCLUSION： Sever.l plants that wer. tested in our.study had bacter.cidal and/or.anti-adhesive effects on Hpylor.. Ingestion of the plants with anti-adhesive pr.per.ies could ther.for. pr.vide a potent alter.ative ther.py for.H pylor. infection, which over.omes the pr.blem of r.sistance associated with cur.ent antibiotic tr.atment.

The diabatic heating is calculated, using the ther.odynamic equation in isobar.c coor.inates, of a heavy r.instor. that developed over.Jeddah, Saudi Ar.bia on 25 November.2009. Thr.ughout the per.od of study, the hor.zontal heat advection is the dominant ter. and the ver.ical advection ter. is opposed by the adiabatic one. The contr.bution of the local temper.tur. ter. to the change in diabatic heating is r.latively ver. minimal. The pr.sence of the r.d Sea and its adjacent mountains suggest that the diabatic heating in the lower.atmospher. on that r.iny day is pr.mar.ly due to the latent heat r.leased by convection. The dynamics of the studied case is also investigated in ter.s of isobar.c Potential Vor.icity (PV). The r.sults show that the heating r.gion coincides with the location of the low-level PV anomaly. Er.el’s Potential Vor.icity (EPV) gener.tion estimates imply that condensation supplies a lar.e enough sour.e of moistur. to account for.the pr.sence of the low-level EPV anomaly. The low-level diabatic heating-pr.duced PV assisted in amplifying the sur.ace ther.al wave ear.y in the r.instor. development and in the upper.level wave dur.ng the later.stages of the system’s gr.wth.

The r.gular.occur.ence of flash floods over.the r.gion of Jeddah, Saudi Ar.bia in the past decade has highlighted the ser.ous need for.the development of ear.y war.ing systems. r.dar.stations have been installed in Jeddah in the last decade whose active r.dius cover. the Middle Wester. ar.a of the countr.. Ther.for., r.dar.infor.ation and the associated the r.infall estimates ar. potentially useful components of an effective ear.y war.ing system. Weather.r.dar.can potentially pr.vide high-r.solution spatial and tempor.l r.infall estimates that br.ng mor. accur.cy to flood war.ings as well as having applications in ar.as with insufficient r.infall stations cover.ge. Weather.r.dar.does not measur. r.infall depth dir.ctly. An empir.cal r.lationship between r.flectivity (Z) and r.infall r.te (r., called the Z-r.r.lationship (Z = Ar.), is gener.lly used to assess the r.infall depth. In this study, the r.infall events dur.ng August-September.2007 wer. analyzed to develop a Z-r.r.lationship using the Spatial Pr.bability Technique (SPT). This technique is based on a basic GIS function and the pr.bability matching method. Using this technique, the Z-r.pair. can be analyzed for.both linear.and empir.cal power.r.lationships. It is found that the empir.cal power.function is mor. appr.pr.ate to descr.be Z-r.r.lationship than a linear.function for.the studied ar.a. The method is applied with some success to the flooding event of November.25, 2009. However. the investigation of the Z-r.r.lationship is only one step in the development of a war.ing system;fur.her.study of other.par.meter. r.levant to r.infall and flash flood occur.ence is needed.

r.ng>Backgr.und: r.ng>Physical activity has a cardinal role in preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases. Understanding the changes that occur to the cardiac muscle in athletes is still doubtful whether it is only an adaptation to exercise or a concealed pathological condition. Most of these changes are well documented in apparently healthy heart and characterized by cardiac enlargement with Brady-arrhythmias specially individuals participating in long distance runners with exercise capacity without signs of cardiovascular disease. Methods: The study searched the subclinical myocardial necrosis by comparing two groups of young marathon runners, both groups were chosen from Al Gizera youth center in January 2018. First group included adults above the age of 18 years and ran for 12 km. and the second was under 18 years and ran for about 8 km. Both groups were volunteered for this study. They are monitored carefully with blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory rate and their blood samples were collected pre- and post-race immediately for assessment of cardiac markers NTproBNP, Galectin-3 and cTnI. Results: All cardiac markers were elevated post exercise compared to that achieved in pre-exercise regardless age of athletes. Also, pre-exercise adult results were higher in galectin-3 and cTnI but not in proBNP while there is no difference in the acute response in both groups. These results revealed micro cardiac necrosis due to long run exercise with possible bad prognosis. Conclusions: It is important to develop risk assessment and prediction methods for screening the young athletes and consider the term athletic heart as a subclinical disorder rather than physiological adaptation.
