Ob.0}ctives:p.rsistent olfactory dysfunction(OD)following loss of smell associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection is a maj.r feature of long *** on the p.evalence of p.rsistent OD p.edominantly rely on self-rep.rted olfactory *** studies have tracked longitudinal rates of recovery using p.ychop.ysical assessment among p.tients p.esenting for evaluation of p.rsistent OD b.yond a window of acute *** anchored in standardized testing methods are needed to counsel p.tients who fail to acutely regain their sense of *** study aims to quantify the degree of p.rsistent OD in p.st-COVID-19 p.tients who exp.rience sub.0}ctive and p.ychop.ysical ***:We group.d p.rticip.nts p.esenting for OD evaluation into cohorts b.sed on b.th sub.0}ctive and p.ychop.ysical olfactory status at a b.seline assessment and assessed their olfactory ab.lities with a visual analogue scale and the Sniffin'Sticks extended test at b.seline and 1-year time *** had confirmed a history of COVID-19 b. lab.evaluation or clinical diagnosis if lab.evaluation was not ***:b.seline olfactory evaluation was comp.eted b. 122 p.rticip.nts,53 of whom comp.eted the 1-year follow-up.*** p.rticip.nts p.esenting with p.rceived OD,74.5%had confirmed p.ychop.ysical OD at b.seline,with 55.1%at 1-year *** had reliab.e trends in self-rated versus p.ychop.ysically tested olfactory function at b.th time *** total threshold,discrimination,and identification(TDI)score imp.oved b.+3.25 p.ints in the cohort with p.ychop.ysical OD(p.0.0005),with this imp.ovement largely attrib.tab.e to an increase in median threshold scores(+2.75 p.ints;p.0.0004).Conclusions:OD p.rsists in a significant numb.r of p.tients who fail to acutely recovery their sense of smell after COVID-19,with many demonstrating lingering deficits at *** in threshold,b.t not discrimination or identification,most significantly mediate imp.ovement

We have recently p.op.sed a new technique of p.asma tailoring b. laser-driven hydrodynamic shockwaves generated on b.th sides of a gas j.t[Marquès et al.,*** 28,023103(2021)].In a continuation of this numerical work,we study exp.rimentally the influence of the tailoring on p.oton acceleration driven b. a high-intensity p.cosecond laser in three cases:without tailoring,b. tailoring only the entrance side of the p.cosecond laser,and b. tailoring b.th sides of the gas *** tailoring,the acceleration is transverse to the laser axis,with a low-energy exp.nential sp.ctrum,p.oduced b. Coulomb.*** the front side of the gas j.t is tailored,a forward acceleration ap.ears,which is significantly enhanced when b.th the front and b.ck sides of the p.asma are *** forward acceleration p.oduces higher-energy p.otons,with a p.aked sp.ctrum,and is in good agreement with the mechanism of collisionless shock acceleration(CSA).The sp.tiotemp.ral evolution of the p.asma p.ofile is characterized b. op.ical shadowgrap.y of a p.ob. *** refraction and ab.orp.ion of this b.am are simulated b. p.st-p.ocessing 3D hydrodynamic simulations of the p.asma *** with the exp.rimental results allows estimation of the thickness and near-critical density of the p.asma slab.p.oduced b. tailoring b.th sides of the gas *** p.rameters are in good agreement with those required for CSA.

The soyb.an ap.id, Ap.is glycines Matsumura （Hemip.era： Ap.ididae）, is one of the most destructive insect p.sts on soyb.ans in the United States. One method for managing this p.st is through host p.ant resistance. Since its arrival in 2000, 4 ap.id b.otyp.s have b.en identified that are ab.e to overcome soyb.an ap.id resistance （Rag） genes. A soyb.an ap.id isolate collected from Moline, Illinois readily colonized soyb.an p.ants with the soyb.an ap.id resistance gene Rag2, unlike b.otyp.s 1 and 2, b.t similar to soyb.an ap.id b.otyp. 3. Two no-choice exp.riments comp.red the virulence of the Moline isolate with b.otyp. 3. In b.th exp.riments, differences in ap.id p.p.lation counts were not significant （p.〉 0.05） on soyb.an genotyp.s LD08-12957a （Rag2） and LD11-5413a （Rag2）, b.t the ap.id counts for the Moline isolate were significantly （p.〈 0.05） lower than the ap.id counts for the b.otyp. 3 isolate on the soyb.an genotyp.s Dowling （Rag1）, LD05-16611 （Rag1）, LD11-4576a （Rag1）, and p.567598b.（raglb.and rag3）. The Moline isolate was a variant of ap.id b.otyp. 3, which is the first rep.rt showing that soyb.an ap.id isolates classified as the same b.otyp., b.sed on virulence against sp.cific Rag genes, can differ in aggressiveness or ab.lity to colonize sp.cific host genotyp.s.

The discovery of chirp.d p.lse amp.ification has led to great imp.ovements in laser technology,enab.ing energetic laser b.ams to b. comp.essed to p.lse durations of tens of femtoseconds and focused to a few *** with energies of tens of MeV can b. accelerated using,for instance,target normal sheath acceleration and focused on secondary *** such conditions,nuclear reactions can occur,with the p.oduction of radioisotop.s suitab.e for medical *** use of high-rep.tition lasers to p.oduce such isotop.s is comp.titive with conventional methods mostly b.sed on *** this p.p.r,we study the p.oduction of^(67)Cu,^(63)Zn,^(18)F,and^(11)C,which are currently used in p.sitron emission tomograp.y and other *** the same time,we study the reactions^(10)b.p.α)^(7)b. and^(70)Zn(p.4n)^(67)Ga to p.t further constraints on the p.oton distrib.tions at different angles,as well as the reaction^(11)b.p.α)^(8)b. relevant for energy *** exp.riment was p.rformed at the 1 p. laser facility at VegaⅢin Salamanca,*** distrib.tions of radioisotop.s in the forward(with resp.ct to the laser direction)and b.ckward directions were measured using a high p.rity germanium *** results are in reasonab.e agreement with numerical estimates ob.ained following the ap.roach of Kimura and b.nasera[*** ***.,Sect.A 637,164–170(2011)].
