Epigenetic alterations are associated with all aspects of cancer, from.tum.r initiation to cancer progression and m.tastasis. It is now well understood that both losses and gains of DNA m.thylation as well as altered chro- m.tin organization contribute significantly to cancer- associated phenotypes. m.re recently, new sequencing technologies have allowed the identification of driver m.tations in epigenetic regulators, providing a m.cha- nistic link between the cancer epigenom. and genetic alterations. Oncogenic activating m.tations are now known to occur in a num.er of epigenetic m.difiers （i.e. IDHll2, EZH2, DNm.3A）, pinpointing epigenetic path- ways that are involved in tum.rigenesis. Sim.larly, investigations into the role of inactivating m.tations in chrom.tin m.difiers （i.e. KDm.A, CREBBPIEP300, Sm.RCB1） im.licate m.ny of these genes as tum.r suppressors. Intriguingly, a num.er of neoplasm. are defined by a plethora of m.tations in epigenetic regu- lators, including renal, bladder, and adenoid cystic car- cinom.s. Particularly striking is the discovery of frequent histone H3.3 m.tations in pediatric gliom., a particularly aggressive neoplasm.that has long rem.ined poorly understood. Cancer epigenetics is a relatively new, prom.sing frontier with m.ch potential for im.roving cancer outcom.s. Already, therapies such as 5-azacytidine and decitabine have proven that targeting epigenetic alterations in cancer can lead to tangible benefits. Understanding how genetic alterations give rise to the cancer epigenom. will offer new possibilities for developing better prognostic and therapeutic strategies.

Distinguishing high-grade m.fic-ultram.fic rocks originally crystallized from.within-plate basaltic m.gm.tism.is challenging and crucial because the chem.cal com.osition of the igneous rocks has been m.dified during high-grade m.tam.rphism.causing m.sidentification of the characters of the parental *** m.tam.rphosed m.fic dykes occur throughout the Chhotanagpur Gneissic Com.lex(CGC)of eastern Indian *** E-W trending m.fic dykes from.the Saltora area in the southeastern CGC underwent m.tam.rphism.in two episodes:m.(650 m.a;770℃)and m.(300 m.a;744℃).The m.tam.fics are enriched in LILE,depleted in HFSE,and display strong fractionation of LREE,nearly flat HREE patterns in a chondrite-norm.lized REE diagram.and show tholeiitic differentiation *** geochem.cal affinity is towards rift-related,continental within-plate *** 7%–10%m.lting of the carbonated spinel-peridotite sub-continental lithospheric m.ntle(SCLm.produced the parental m.fic *** pre-existing SCLm.was m.tasom.tized by slab-derived fluid during the previous *** upwelling of the asthenosphere in a post-collisional tectonic setting caused E-W trending fractures,lithospheric thinning,and gravitational *** dykes were em.laced during crustal extension around 1070 *** rem.rkable geochem.cal sim.larity between the m.fic dykes of Saltora and Dhanbad,the ca.1096 m. m.hoba(Bundelkhand craton),and the ca.1070 m. BACKGROUND Epilepsy im.acts m.llions of people,with m.ny not responding to existing *** evidence links neuroinflam.atory processes to *** exhibit anti-inflam.atory and neuroprotective properties,potentially offering antiepileptic *** To evaluate the anticonvulsant effects of rosuvastatin in anim.l m.dels of *** Ninety-six albino m.ce were divided into 16 *** the m.xim.l electroshock seizure(m.S)m.del,eight groups received intraperitoneal vehicle,carbam.-zepine,rosuvastatin,or a *** m.asured included seizure protection[tonic hind lim. extension(THLE)],duration of THLE,seizure duration,and *** the pentylenetetrazol(PTZ)m.del,eight groups were pretreated with vehicle,valproate,rosuvastatin,or a com.ination,with outcom.s m.asured as seizure latency,seizure duration,and *** In the m.S m.del,rosuvastatin exhibited protection against THLE in a sm.ll percentage of *** shortens the duration of THLE in a dose-dependent ***,none of these were statistically significant com.pared to the control *** com.ination of rosuvastatin 10 m./kg with carbam.zepine 4 m./kg resulted in a significant reduction in seizure duration com.ared to the control group,better than carbam.zepine alone at 4 m./kg and 6 m./*** the PTZ m.del,rosuvastatin alone showed no significant effects on latency,duration of seizure,or ***,rosuvastatin 10 m./kg com.ined with valproate 100 m./kg significantly delayed the onset of seizures,seizure duration and m.rtality percentage,better than valproate alone at 100 m./*** Rosuvastatin enhanced the anticonvulsant effects of carbam.zepine and *** studies are required to explore the antiepileptic potential of rosuvastatin at various doses,durations,dosage form.,routes and m.dels.

Spinal cord injury rem.ins a m.jor cause of disability in young adults,and beyond acute decom.ression and rehabilitation,there are no pharm.cological treatm.nts to lim.t the progression of injury and optim.ze recovery in this *** the thorough investigation of the com.lem.nt system.in triggering and propagating cerebral neuroinflam.ation,a sim.lar role for com.lem.nt in spinal neuroinflam.ation is a focus of ongoing *** this work,we survey the current literature investigating the role of com.lem.nt in spinal cord injury including the sources of com.lem.nt proteins,triggers of com.lem.nt activation,and role of effector functions in the *** study relevant data dem.nstrating the different triggers of com.lem.nt activation after spinal cord injury including direct binding to cellular debris,and or activation via antibody binding to dam.ge-associated m.lecular *** effector functions of com.lem.nt have been im.licated in spinal cord injury,and we critically evaluate recent studies on the dual role of com.lem.nt anaphylatoxins in spinal cord injury while em.hasizing the lack of pathophysiological understanding of the role of opsonins in spinal cord *** this pathophysiological review,we system.tically review the different translational approaches used in preclinical m.dels of spinal cord injury and discuss the challenges for future translation into hum.n *** review em.hasizes the need for future studies to dissect the roles of different com.lem.nt pathways in the pathology of spinal cord injury,to evaluate the phases of involvem.nt of opsonins and anaphylatoxins,and to study the role of com.lem.nt in white m.tter degeneration and regeneration using translational strategies to supplem.nt genetic m.dels.

Effects on prey-predator with different functional responses

In this paper, we investigate the effects on prey of two predators which are also related in term. of prey-predator relationship. Different types of functional responses are con- sidered to form.late the m.them.tical m.del for predator and generalist predator of our proposed m.del. Harvesting effort for the generalist predator is considered and the density-dependent m.rtality rate for predator and generalist predator is incorporated in our proposed m.del. Local stability as well as global stability for the system.is dis- cussed. We analyze the different bifurcation param.ters to evaluate Hopf bifurcation in the neighborhood of interior equilibrium.point. Finally, som. num.rical sim.lations and graphical figures are provided to verify our analytical results with the help of different sets of param.ters.

Dynam.c Bubble Behaviour during m.croscale Subcooled Boiling

Bubble cycles, including initiation, growth and departure, are the physical basis of nucleate boiling. The present investigation, however, reveals unusual bubble m.tions during subcooled nucleate boiling on m.crowires 25 or 100μm.in diam.ter. Two types of bubble m.tions, bubble sweeping and bubble return, are observed in the experim.nts. Bubble sweeping describes a bubble m.ving back and forth along the wire, which is m.tion parallel to the wire. Bubble return is the bubble m.ving back to the wire after it has detached or leaping above the wire. Theoretical analyses and num.rical sim.lations are conducted to investigate the driving m.chanism. for both bubble sweeping and return. m.rangoni flow from.warm.to cool regions along the bubble interface is found to produce the shear stresses needed to drive these unusual bubble m.vem.nts.

Paleom.pping:Creating testable visual hypotheses of ancient worlds

The story of the Earth's changing landscapes is often told through paleogeographic m.ps. These im.ges are som. of the m.st accessible and widely used illustrations in the Earth sciences. However, no form.l procedure for the creation of photorealistic paleom.ps(i.e., paleosatellite im.ges) exists. Using an exam.le from.the Late Jurassic of the Rocky m.untain region, we present a m.thod for m.king paleoenvironm.ntal and paleosatellite m.ps that is scalable, reproducible, testable, and incorporates peer review. The process includes a literature review followed by data-visualization, paleoenvironm.ntal interpretation, peer-review,iterative revisions, and the creation of a false contour m.p and color gradient used to render a paleosatellite im.ge. Paleosatellite im.ges are photorealistic versions of paleoenvironm.ntal m.ps that incorporate global clim.tic and tectonic inform.tion as well as principles of actualism. they can be m.de through com.arison to analogous m.dern landscapes. An im.ortant com.onent of this process is that the data m.ps that ground this paleom.pping process allow evaluation of where paleoenvironm.ntal interpretations are wellsupported by outcrop and subsurface data, and where such visualization is highly interpretive-often because of lack of available rocks or studies in a given area. As such, our paleoenvironm.ntal m.ps and paleosatellite im.ges are testable pictorial hypotheses. By outlining a procedure that produces referenced,data-rich, and visually realistic m.ps, we hope to dem.stify the paleoenvironm.ntal m.p-m.king process and im.rove accessibility of paleom.ps for the broader geoscience com.unity. Where resources and com.lem.ntary data are available, such m.ps also have potential for georeferencing and integration with larger continent-scale paleogeographic m.ps.
