Scaffold-regulation buffered MoS_(2)anode kinetics for high-performance Na-/K-ion storage

Designing a highly conductive scaffold with unique function has great significance in elevating the stor-age properties of molybdenum sulfide(MoS_(2))for sodium-and potassium-ion ***,we show that forming a three-dimensional(3D)highly conductive dual backbone that consists of titanium nitride nanowires(TiN)coated on 3D carbon fiber(CF)could suppress the poor conductivity of MoS_(2).Theo-retical calculations predict that both TiN and CF boost the electronic conductivity,while the MoS_(2)will promote high ionic adsorption owing to the suitable adsorption *** as-prepared CF@TiN/MoS_(2),with mass loading up to 12.5 mg cm^(−2),achieves a high areal capacity of up to 5.40 mAh cm^(−2)under the current density of 0.6 mA cm^(−2)for sodium *** excellent performance of the hybrid can be attributed to buffer and conductivity enhancer features,allowing Na-ion to directly have contact with the CF@TiN/MoS_(2)hybrid.A series of electrochemical analyses including cyclic voltammetry and symmetric cell analyses affirm the significant improvement in transport *** importantly,the CF@TiN/MoS_(2)also achieves a high areal capacity of 3.29 mAh cm^(−2)under the current density of 0.3 mA cm^(−2)as anode material for potassium ion batteries(PIBs),demonstrating that the scaffold-regulated strategy is a feasible strategy to enhance the kinetics of MoS_(2)-based anodes for secondary-ion batteries and beyond.

Carbon nitrides(including CN,C2N,C3N,C3N4,C4N,and C5N)are a unique family of nitrogen-rich carbon materials with multiple beneficial properties in crystalline structures,morphologies,and electronic *** this review,we provide a comprehensive review on these materials properties,theoretical advantages,the synthesis and modification strategies of different carbon nitride-based materials(CNBMs)and their application in existing and emerging rechargeable battery systems,such as lithium-ion batteries,sodium and potassium-ion batteries,lithium sulfur batteries,lithium oxygen batteries,lithium metal batteries,zinc-ion batteries,and solid-state *** central theme of this review is to apply the theoretical and computational design to guide the experimental synthesis of CNBMs for energy storage,i.e.,facilitate the application of first-principle studies and density functional theory for electrode material design,synthesis,and characterization of different CNBMs for the aforementioned rechargeable *** last,we conclude with the challenges,and prospects of CNBMs,and propose future perspectives and strategies for further advancement of CNBMs for rechargeable batteries.

Cation-vacancy induced Li+ intercalation pseudocapacitance at atomically thin heterointerface for high capacity and high power lithium-ion batteries

It is challenging to create cation vacancies in electrode materials for enhancing the performance of rechargeable lithium ion batteries (LIBs). Herein, we utilized a strong alkaline etching method to successfully create Co vacancies at the interface of atomically thin Co_(3−x)O_(4)/graphene@CNT heterostructure for high-energy/power lithium storage. The creation of Co-vacancies in the sample was confirmed by high-resolution scanning transmission electron microscope (HRSTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and electron energy loss near-edge structures (ELNES). The obtained Co_(3−x)O_(4)/graphene@CNT delivers an ultra-high capacity of 1688.2 mAh g^(−1) at 0.2 C, excellent rate capability of 83.7% capacity retention at 1 C, and an ultralong life up to 1500 cycles with a reversible capacity of 1066.3 mAh g^(−1). Reaction kinetic study suggests a significant contribution from pseudocapacitive storage induced by the Co-vacancies at the Co_(3−x)O_(4)/graphene@CNT interface. Density functional theory confirms that the Co-vacancies could dramatically enhance the Li adsorption and provide an additional pathway with a lower energy barrier for Li diffusion, which results in an intercalation pseudocapacitive behavior and high-capacity/rate energy storage.

利用博尔努盆地内23口探井的钻井、测井资料,借助于Excel、Petrel及Surfer等软件,确定了盆地Kerri-Kerri组、Gombe组、Fika组、Gongila组和Bima组及整个沉积地层的空间分布。对整个沉积地层空间分布研究发现,博尔努盆地共有3个主要坳陷(A、C、D)和1个构造高点B。坳陷A位于盆地东北部,坳陷C和D分别位于盆地东南部和西南部,构造高点B分隔坳陷A和坳陷C。Kerri-Kerri组、Gombe组、Fika组、Gongila组和Bima组在盆地广泛分布,但地层厚度存在变化;3口深层探井(Kadaru-1井、Herwa-1井及Kinasar-1井)仅钻揭Bima组上部层段(岩性为中—粗粒长石砂岩),对Bima组下部层段尚未钻遇。因此建议针对盆地内部的潜在含油气坳陷区开展深层钻探。

Control of Corruption,Trust in Government,and Voluntary TaxCompliance in South-West,Nigeria

Tax payers’level of compliance behaviour is a major concern to government and tax *** losses of tax revenue through bribery,corruption,and abuse of power for personal advantage are perceived to have adversely affected nation’s economic growth and infrastructural *** researches have been conducted on taxpayers’compliance,but not many considered the effect of Control of Corruption(COC)in their *** study looked at the probable influence of COC on individual taxpayers’voluntary tax compliance behaviour in South-West,*** research design was adopted for the *** for the study was 5,216,422 individual taxpayers in three selected states.A validated questionnaire was used to collect data from respondents by means of Stratified and random sampling techniques with a sample size of 1,200 and this gives a response rate of 87.6%.The reliability test using Cronbach’s alpha coefficients ranged from 0.79 to *** study adopts descriptive and inferential statistics to analyze the data at 0.05 level of *** study shows that COC positively influenced voluntary tax compliance among individual taxpayers in the study states(Adj.R2=0.063,F(6,1050)=12.68,p=0.000).There was evidence that trust in government,COC,and employment status have significant relationship with voluntary tax compliance behaviour in the study states(β=0.139,t(1044)=6.125,p=0.000,β=0.154,t(1044)=5.025,p=0.000,β=-0.237,t(1044)=-3.562,p=0.00)while gender,age,and educational level do not have significant relationship with voluntary tax compliance(β=0.036,t(1044)=0.664,p=0.664,β=-0.002,t(1044)=-0.080,p=0.936,β=0.035,t(1044)=1.081,p=0.280),*** study concluded that control of corruption influenced individual voluntary tax *** should put better stiff strategies in controlling corruption on tax matters,overhaul the internal control mechanism,establish state anti-graft agencies,and put stiff punishment for any fraudulent acti

Factor Analysis of Stream Sediment Geochemical Data from Onyami Drainage System, Southwestern Nigeria

An R-mode quartimax rotated factor matrix was applied to a statistical study of stream sediment geochemical data from Onyami drainage system within Igarra area in southwestern Nigeria. The area is underlain by the gneiss-migmatite complex, the low grade supracrustal schist belts and the Pan-African granitoids which intruded both the gneiss-migmatite complex and the supracrustal units. A four-factor model which accounts for 76.49% of the total variance of the stream sediment geochemical data was established. Factor 1 (Sc-Ga-V-La-Ni-Co-Ag-Bi-Sr-Pb-Hf-Nb-Cu-Cr) probably defines an underlying complex granitic lithology with contributions from mafic and ultramafic rocks. Factor 2 (Th-U) is attributable to a granitic lithology which reflects the parent rock as the influencing factor. Factor 3 (Mo-Nb-Zn) appears to define a minor sulphide mineralization associated with granitic rocks that intruded the schists and granite gneiss in the area. Factor 4 indicates the occurrence of gold and its pathfinder element, As, in the study area. This inference is consistent with the reported occurrence and mining of gold during the colonial era in Dagbala, which lies within the Onyami river catchment area.
