Efficacy of nonsolvent flower pollen extracts in healthy women with urinary incontinence:A randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled,parallel study

Background Urinary incontinence(UI)is a debilitating and common condition that adversely affects quality of *** and surgical approaches for managing UI symptoms may result in undesirable risks and *** randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled,parallel study investigated the efficacy of 2 nonsolvent flower pollen extracts on UI in healthy *** and methods One-hundred and fourteen women aged 40–75 years who scored≥5 on the International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire-Urinary Incontinence Short Form(ICIQ-SF)were randomized to receive either graminex®RCT Fem™UI,graminex®PollenBerry®,or placebo for 24 *** primary outcome was the change in the ICIQ-SF score between the trial and placebo groups after 24 weeks of *** secondary outcomes included changes in the frequency of nocturia(recorded in 3-day void diaries)and 24-hour leakage volume(assessed via pad weight)after 6,12,18,and 24 weeks of supplementation and changes in stress-induced urinary leakage volume(after completion of a provocative maneuver challenge)after 24 weeks of *** All the groups demonstrated improvement in ICIQ-SF scores at week 24(pgroup had the greatest improvement in ICIQ-SF scores(−4.07±3.4),followed by the PollenBerry®group(−3.34±2.87)and placebo group(−2.61±3.52).The RCT Fem™UI group had corresponding improvements in 24-hour leakage volume(−17.68±39.84 g)and frequency of nocturia(−0.52±1.26)(p≤0.05).PollenBerry®supplementation significantly improved stress-induced urinary leakage volume(−7.12±15.64 g)at week *** study products demonstrated safe hematological and chemical *** RCT Fem™UI supplementation resulted in significant and clinically meaningful reductions in UI severity,with corresponding improvements in daily urinary leakage volume and frequency of ***®significantly improved stress-induced urinary leakage volume,suggesting that it may be eff

This paper describes the development of a Hard Shoulder Monitoring System(HASMOS),capable of combining the data from the two independent sensor systems with the aim of improving overall system *** data-fusion al-gorithms that form the core of the system are described in detail,together with the development work being undertaken to bring the system from its initial proof-of-concept form to a deployable pilot *** comprises the trial of the sys-tem,using simulated data generated by a software model and real data obtained from off-road and on-road trials,and subse-quent refinement of the system analysis of the trials.

Object:To determine the extent and impact of upgrading and downgrading among men who underwent radical prostatectomy(RP)according to new grade groupings and to identify predictors of upgrading from biopsy grade group Ⅰ and Ⅱ,and downgrading to grade group I,in a community ***:Study participants included 2279 men with non-metastatic prostate cancer diagnosed 2006-2015 who underwent prostatectomy,from the multi-institutional South Australia Prostate Cancer Clinical Outcomes Collaborative *** of up-or down-grading was assessed by comparing biopsy and prostatectomy grade *** of biochemical recurrence(BCR)with upgrading was assessed using multivariable competing risk *** logistic regression was used to identify pre-treatment predictors of upgrading from grade groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ,and risk group reclassification among men with low risk ***:Upgrading occurred in 35%of cases,while downgrading occurred in 13%of *** percent with grade group I disease were upgraded following *** from grade group I was associated with greater risk of BCR compared with concordant grading(Hazard ratio:3.1,95%confidence interval:1.7-6.0).Older age,higher prostate-specific antigen levels(PSA),fewer biopsy cores,higher number of positive cores and more recent diagnosis predicted upgrading from grade group Ⅰ,while higher PSA and clinical stage predicted upgrading from grade group Ⅱ.No clinical risk factors for reclassification were ***:Biopsy sampling errors may play an important role in upgrading from grade group *** clinical assessment of grade is needed to encourage greater uptake of active surveillance.

Corn harvested as grain is a relatively new crop for the province of New Brunswick. The recent availability of local corn has the potential to improve the sustainability of the dairy industry in New Brunswick, but there is debate within the industry concerning the value and best use of the grain. This experiment was conducted to assess the feeding value of locally-produced corn grain stored as dry grain, ensiled high moisture corn, or ensiled as high moisture corncob meal (HMCCM, unhusked ears sometimes referred to as snaplage) relative to dry grain obtained from Ontario. Three samples of each were evaluated In Sacco. Rates and extent of digestion were similar for local and Ontario corn regardless of presentation for crude protein and starch, but acid detergent fiber, neutral detergent fiber and dry matter digestibility values were lower for HMCCM than other treatments. A 4 × 4 Latin square study was conducted with 16 Holstein cows and 28 day feeding periods. Milk production and milk protein production were higher (P gy corrected milk was lowest with the HMCCM diet. These results indicated that the value of corn produced in New Brunswick is similar to that produced in Ontario.
