The bac.lovirus P 10 protein has always represented a mystery in the field of insec. virology. Like the bac.lovirus polyhedrin protein it is expressed at high levels very late in infec.ion. Homologues of the Autographa c.lifornic. nuc.eopolyhedrovirus p10 gene are c.nserved in all Alphabac.loviruses and in other viruses of lepidopteran hosts yet is c.mpletely dispensable for virus replic.tion and transmission. PIO is a mic.otubule interac.ing protein whose expression has been assoc.ated with the formation of a variety of c.mplex and extensive c.toplasmic.and nuc.ear struc.ures. PIO has been assoc.ated with a number of roles during infec.ion ranging from the formation of virus oc.lusion bodies, to affec.ing the rate of c.llular and/or nuc.ear lysis during the final stages of the virus replic.tion c.c.e. In this artic.e we review rec.nt work aimed at understanding the role of this enigmatic.protein, putting them into c.ntext with rec.nt advanc.s in understanding of protein struc.ure and func.ion. We look bac. at a number of historic.l studies and observations, reanalysing their c.nc.usions based on rec.nt data and our own observations. The role of the P 10 protein during bac.lovirus replic.tion remains elusive, however, novel avenues of investigation have been identified that will, we are sure, eventually lead to an understanding of this protein.

Objec.ive:To review the risk of prostate c.nc.r(Pc.)in men with inc.dentally reported inc.eased intraprostatic.uptake at 2-deoxy-2-[18F]fluoro-d-gluc.se positron emission tomography/c.mputed tomography(18F-FDG PET/c.)ordered at Department of Urology,The Wesley Hospital,Brisbane,QLD,Australia for non-Pc. related ***:Retrospec.ive analysis of c.nsec.tive men between August 2014 and August 2019 presenting to a single institution for 18F-FDG PET/c. for non-prostate related c.nditions was *** were c.assified as benign,indeterminate,or malignant depending of the results of prostate-spec.fic.antigen(PSA),PSA veloc.ty,biopsy histopathology,and three-Tesla(3 T)multiparametric.MRI(mpMRI)Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System sc.re,or gallium-68-prostate-spec.fic.membrane antigen(68Ga-PSMA)PET/c. ***:Three perc.nt(273/9122)of men demonstrated 18F-FDG avidity within the ***-five perc.nt(231/273)were further investigated,inc.uding with PSA tests(227/231,98.3%),3 T mpMRI(68/231,29.4%),68Ga-PSMA PET/c.(33/231,14.3%),and prostate biopsy(57/231,24.7%).Results were c.nsidered benign in 130/231(56.3%),indeterminate in 31/231(13.4%),and malignant in 70/231(30.3%).Pc. was identified in 51/57(89.5%)of the men who proc.eded to biopsy,inc.uding 26/27(96.3%)men with Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System sc.res 4-5 mpMRI and six men with a positive 68Ga-PSMA PET/*** most c.mmon Gleason sc.re on biopsy was greater than or equal to 4+5(14/51,27.5%).68Ga-PSMA PET/c. was c.nc.rdant with the 18F-FDG findings in 26/33(78.8%).All 13 men with a positive c.nc.rdant 18F-FDG,3 T mpMRI,and 68Ga-PSMA PET/c. had Pc. on *** was no statistic.lly signific.nt differenc. in the 18F-FDG maximum standardized uptake value between the benign or malignant groups(5.7 vs.6.1;p=0.580).c.nc.usion:In this study,after an inc.dental finding of an avid intraprostatic.lesion on 18F-FDG PET/c.,70 of the 231 c.ses(30.3%;0.8%of the entire c.hort)had results c

The ability to modulate the future liver remnant(FLR) is a key c.mponent of modern onc.logic.hepatobiliary surgery prac.ic. and has extended surgic.l c.ndidac. for patients who may have been previously thought unable to survive liver resec.ion. Multiple tec.niques have been developed to augment the FLR inc.uding portal vein embolization(PVE), assoc.ating liver partition and portal vein ligation(ALPPS), and the rec.ntly reported transhepatic.liver venous deprivation(LVD). PVE is a well-established means to improve the safety of liver resec.ion by redirec.ing blood flow to the FLR in an effort to selec.ively hypertrophy and ultimately improve func.ional reserve of the FLR. This artic.e disc.sses the c.rrent prac.ic. of PVE with foc.s on summarizing the large number of published reports from whic. outc.mes based prac.ic.s have been developed. Both tec.nic.l aspec.s of PVE inc.uding volumetry, approac.es, and embolization agents; and c.inic.l aspec.s of PVE inc.uding data supporting indic.tions, and its role in c.njunc.ion with c.emotherapy and transarterial embolization will be highlighted. PVE remains an important aspec. of onc.logic.c.re; in large part due to the substantial foundation of information available demonstrating its c.ear c.inic.l benefit for hepatic.resec.ion c.ndidates with small antic.pated FLRs.

The abundanc. and size c.mposition of stream isopods Lirc.usfontinalis were investigated from April 2001 to August 2002 in 3 streams in southem Ontario, c.nada. Effec.s of c.rrent speed was released from the analysis by c.oosing slow flowing water. The effec.s of substrate, season and water depth on the abundanc., distribution and size c.mposition of the isopods were analyzed. It was found that substrate and season influenc. isopods the most. The roc.y substrate with attac.ed filamentous mac.o-algae c.ntains an isopod abundanc. 7.05 times that of bare roc. substrate and 14.6 times that of free-sand and mud substrate. There was a large variation with respec. to seasonali .ty in both abundanc. and size c.mposition of the isopods, with the highest abundanc. oc.umng in summer and the lowest in winter and spring; individual isopods also tend to be larger in the winter and spring. In all substrates, shallow areas tend to support higher densities of isopods than deeper areas.
