Introd.ction Country of birth/nativity information may be crucial to und.rstand.ng health equity in Latino populations and.is routinely called.for in health services literature assessing card.ovascular d.sease and.risk,but is not thought to co-occur with longitud.nal,objective health information such as that found.in electronic health record.(EHRs).Method. We used.a multistate network of community health centres to d.scribe the extent to which country of birth is record.d.in EHRs in Latinos,and.to d.scribe d.mographic features and.card.ovascular risk profiles by country of *** compared.geographical/d.mographic/clinical characteristics,from 2012 to 2020(9 years of d.ta),of 914495 Latinos record.d.as US-born,non-US-born and.without a country of birth *** also d.scribed.the state in which these d.ta were *** Country of birth was collected.for 127138 Latinos in 782 clinics in 22 *** with those with a country of birth record.d.Latinos without this record.were more often uninsured.and.less often preferred.*** covariate ad.usted.prevalence of heart d.sease and.risk factors were similar between the three groups,when results were d.saggregated.to five specific Latin countries(Mexico,Guatemala,d.minican Republic,Cuba,El Salvad.r),significant variation was observed.especially in d.abetes,hypertension and.*** In a multistate network,thousand. of non-US-born,US-born and.patients without a country of birth record.d.had.d.ffering d.mographic characteristics,but clinical variation was not observed.until d.ta was d.saggregated.into specific country of *** policies that enhance the safety of immigrant populations may enhance the collection of health equity related.*** and.effective health equity research using Latino country of birth information paired.with longitud.nal healthcare information found.in EHRs might have significant potential for aid.ng clinical and.public health practice,but it d

The Erasmus Plus programme’Innovative Ed.cation and.Training in high power laser plasmas’,otherwise known as PowerLaPs,is *** PowerLaPs programme employs an innovative parad.gm in that it is a multi-centre programme where teaching takes place in five separate institutes with a range of d.fferent aims and.styles of *** ’in class’ time is limited.to four weeks a year,and.the programme spans two *** aims to train stud.nts from across Europe in theoretical,applied.and.laboratory skills relevant to the pursuit of research in laserplasma interaction physics and.inertial confinement fusion(ICF).Lectures are intermingled.with laboratory sessions and.continuous assessment *** programme,which is led.by workers from the Technological Ed.cational Institute(TEI)of Crete,and.supported.by co-workers from the Queen’s University Belfast,the University of Bord.aux,the Czech Technical-University in Prague,Ecole Polytechnique,the University of Ioannina,the University of Salamanca and.the University of York,has just completed.its first *** far three Learning Teaching Training(LTT)activities have been held.at the Queen’s University Belfast,the University of Bord.aux and.the Centre for Plasma Physics and.Lasers(CPPL)of TEI *** last of these was a two-week long Intensive Programme(IP),while the activities at the other two universities were each five d.ys in *** far work has concentrated.upon training in both theoretical and.experimental work in plasma physics,high power laser-matter interactions and.high energy d.nsity *** nature of the programme will be d.scribed.in d.tail and.some metrics relating to the activities carried.out to d.te will be presented.

The Kirsten rat sarcoma(KRAS)gene,which is one of the most frequently mutated.genes in human cancers,has long captured.the attention of *** recent approval of KRAS G12C inhibitors(KRASi),such as sotorasib and.ad.grasib,has signaled.a promising turn in cancer ***,emerging resistance to these d.ugs presents a fomid.ble challenge.'Lv et al's2 publication in Science suggests that the proteostasis network plays a role in med.ating d.verse KRASi resistance *** work shows that KRAS inhibition suppresses protein quality control in the majority of cancer *** the remaining cells,a subset can reactivate one of the end.plasmic reticulum(ER)stress sensors,specifically the inositol-requiring enzyme 1 alpha(IRE1a)branch of the unfold.d.protein response(UPR).This ad.ptation enables the cells to overcome their reliance on oncogenic KRAS,enhancing their resistance to KRASi(Figure 1).This insight und.rscores the complex interplay be tween oncogenic signaling and.protein quality control in scenarios of d.ug ***,we review and.d.scuss the major find.ngs of this stud. in the following sections.

Cultivated.potato is a clonally propagated.autotetraploid.species with a highly heterogeneous *** assemblies of six cultivars includ.ng two chromosome-scale phased.genome assemblies revealed.extensive allelic d.versity,includ.ng altered.cod.ng and.transcript sequences,preferential allele expression,and.structural variation that collectively result in a highly complex transcriptome and.pred.cted.proteome,which are d.stributed.across the homologous *** species contribute to the extensive allelic d.versity in tetraploid.cultivars,d.monstrating ancestral introgressions pred.ting mod.rn breed.ng *** a clonally propagated.autotetraploid.that und.rgoes limited.meiosis,d.sfunctional and.d.leterious alleles are not purged.in tetraploid.*** a quarter of the loci bore mutations are pred.cted.to have a high negative impact on protein function,complicating breed.r’s efforts to red.ce genetic *** StCd.1 locus controls maturity,and.analysis of six tetraploid.genomes revealed.that 12 allelic variants of StCd.1 are correlated.with maturity in a d.sage-d.pend.nt *** of the complexity of the tetraploid.potato genome with its rampant structural variation and.embed.ed.d.leterious and.d.sfunctional alleles will be key not only to implementing precision breed.ng of tetraploid.cultivars but also to the construction of homozygous,d.ploid.potato germplasm containing favorable alleles to capitalize on heterosis in F1 hybrid..
