the aggregation of amyloid-beta peptide and tau protein dysregulation are implicated to play key roles in Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis and are considered the main pathological hallmarks of this devastating ***,these two proteins are produced and expressed within the normal human ***,under pathological conditions,abnormal expression,posttranslational modifications,conformational changes,and truncation can make these proteins prone to aggregation,triggering specific disease-related *** studies have indicated associations between aberrant behavior of amyloid-beta and tau proteins and various neurological diseases,such as Alzheimer's disease,Parkinson's disease,and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,as well as retinal neurodegenerative diseases like Glaucoma and age-related macular ***,these proteins have been linked to cardiovascular disease,cancer,traumatic brain injury,and diabetes,which are all leading causes of morbidity and *** this comprehensive review,we provide an overview of the connections between amyloid-beta and tau proteins and a spectrum of disorders.

thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of Sn nucleation and growth processes onto a glassy carbon electrode from SnCl2·2H2O dissolved in ethylene glycol solutions were *** reduction and oxidation peaks observed in voltammograms have demonstrated the capability of ethylene glycol solutions to electrodeposit *** temperature-dependence of diffusion coefficient values derived from potentiodynamic and potentiostatic studies helped to determine and validate estimations of the activation energy for Sn(II)bulk *** results have identified that,the suitable model to describe the early stage of Sn electrodeposition could be composed of Sn three-dimensional nucleation and diffusion-controlled growth and water reduction contributions,which was duly validated by theoretical and experimental *** the model,typical kinetic parameters such as the nucleation frequency of Sn(A),number density of Sn nuclei(N_(0)),and diffusion coefficient of Sn(II)ions(D),were *** presence of Sn nuclei with excellent quality and their structures were verified using SEM,EDX,and XRD techniques.

Wedelolactone from Eclipta prostrata(L)*** inflammation and improves insulin resistance

Objective:to evaluate the effects of wedelolactone,a major flavonoid from Vietnamese Eclipta prostrata(L)L.,on inflammation and insulin ***:Wedelolactone was extracted from the leaves of Vietnamese Eclipta prostrata(L.)*** methanol by *** effects of wedelolactone on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced cytokine production,reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADPH)oxidase activities in Raw 264.7 cells were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),specific immunofluorescent dyes and luminometric analysis,*** addition,its effects on glucose uptake and the protein expression of insulin receptor substrate 1(IRS1)and glucose transporter 4(GLUt4)were examined in 3t3-L1 cells by immunofluorescent dyes and Western ***:Wedelolactone at 30μg/mL significantly inhibited LPS-induced production of tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin(IL)-6,and IL-8(Pth no noticeable effects on IL-10 *** also reduced ROS generation and NADPH oxidase activities in LPS-stimulated Raw 264.7 cells(Pthermore,wedelolactone showed anti-insulin resistance activity,as evidenced by improved glucose uptake and the upregulated expression of IRS1 and GLUt4 in 3t3-L1 cells(Ptone exhibits anti-inflammation and anti-insulin resistance effects,which may be used for the treatment of diabetes and inflammation-associated diseases.

the administration time is a critical but long-neglected point in cell therapy based on macrophages because the incorrect time of macrophage administration could result in diverse outcomes regarding the same macrophage *** this work,the second near-infrared(NIR-II)fluorescence imaging in vivo tracking of M2 macrophages during a pro-healing therapy in the mice model of rotator cuff injury revealed that the behavior of administrated macrophages was influenced by the timing of their *** delayed cell therapy(DCt)group had a longer retention time of injected M2 macrophages in the repairing tissue than that in the immediate cell therapy(ICt)*** Keller-Segel model and histological analysis further demonstrated that DCt altered the chemotaxis of M2 macrophages and improved the healing outcome of the repaired structure in comparison with *** results offer a possible explanation of previous conflicting results on reparative cell therapy and provoke reconsideration of the timing of these therapies.

通过对各向同性固结不排水试样进行循环三轴试验,研究了饱和重塑砂土的液化行为。试验采用恒幅正弦载荷,通过测量剪切模量、阻尼比、轴向应变和超孔隙水压力比的变化,评估了加载频率(分别为0.1、0.5、1.0 Hz)和压实度(分别为0.95、0.90和0.80)对砂土液化行为的影响。试验结果表明,对于压实度为0.95的砂样,在5000次加载循环中,0.1 Hz的加载频率对液化过程影响甚微;而对于压实度为0.90和0.80的砂样,此频率的影响显著。对于压实度为0.80的砂样,当频率增加到0.5 Hz时几乎一加载就直接发生液化。这表明增加加载频率会加快液化速度,而增加压实度则会减慢液化速度。因此,通过一系列的试验可以模拟现场砂土在不同频率下的动荷载条件。试验结果表明,饱和砂土的液化行为由以下因素决定:(1)试样的压实度越低,液化越容易发生;(2)加载频率越高,液化越容易发生;(3)循环轴向应变越大,发生液化所需的循环次数越少;(4)超孔隙水压力随加载循环次数增加,直至试样完全液化。

Spiritual Forests—A Nature Conservation Model of Ethnic Minority Communities in Central Viet Nam

this paper aims to analyze and evaluate a model of forest conservation and management of ethnic minority (or indigenous) people in central Vietnam, often referred to as the spiritual forest. these forests, called sacred forest or ghost forests by the ethnic minority people in thua thien Hue province, have existed for a long time among forest residents. However, they have recently declined, both in quality and quantity, due to various factors, including changes in society, economy, environment, and perception, among other reasons. Based on research conducted in A Luoi district, thua thien Hue province with household interviews, group discussions, and field surveys, we find that spiritual forest retains religious and human significance. they are also often among the last remaining natural forests left due to deforestation by human activities. the research results indicate challenges that conservation of spiritual forest may face, while giving recommendations derived from communities for sustainable forest development and conservation in the region.

Effectiveness and safety of electroacupuncture analgesia in controlling intraoperative pain and hemodynamics during total thyroidectomy:A randomized controlled trial

Objective:to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of electroacupuncture in conjunction with additional medications in providing analgesia and stabilizing hemodynamic parameters during total ***:this randomized controlled trial included 100 patients who underwent a total thyroidectomy between October 2022 and October 2023 at the Vietnam National Hospital of *** patients were randomized into two *** electroacupuncture analgesia(EA)group received EA stimulation at five acupuncture points:Hegu(LI 4),Neiguan(PC 6),Shuitu(St 10),Quepen(St 12),and Yifeng(SJ 17),while the control group received a bilateral superficial cervical plexus *** outcomes included the level of analgesia and perioperative vital signs in both ***,pain thresholds and serum b-endorphin levels were measured before and after electroacupuncture in the EA ***:Complete analgesia(Level A)was attained in 86%and 76%of the patients in the EA and control groups,respectively,with no significant difference between the two groups(P¼1.00).In the EA group,the mean pain threshold after receiving EA doubled(648.7(77.4)g/s vs.305.3(45.3)g/s,Pthe mean serum b-endorphin level increased by approximately 13.5 pg/mL(Ptients remained hemodynamically stable throughout the ***:EA,in conjunction with additional medications that stimulate five acupuncture points,LI 4,PC 6,St 10,St 12,and SJ 17,was well tolerated and effectively maintained a suitable level of analgesia and hemodynamic stability during total thyroidectomy.
