Tight focusing with very small f-numbers is necessary to achieve the highest at-focus ***,tight focusing imposes strong demands on precise target positioning in-focus to achieve the highest on-target irradiance We describe several near-infrared,visible,ultraviolet and soft and hard X-ray diagnostics employed in a~10^(22)W/cm^(2)laser±plasma *** used nearly 10 J total energy femtosecond laser pulses focused into an approximately1.3-μm focal spot on 5±20μm thick stainless-steel *** discuss the applicability of these diagnostics to determine the best in-focus target position with approximately 5μm accuracy(i.e.,around half of the short Rayleigh length)and show that several diagnostics(in particular,3ωreflection and on-axis hard X-rays)can ensure this *** demonstrated target positioning within several micrometers from the focus,ensuring over 80%of the ideal peak laser intensity *** approach is relatively fast(it requires 10±20 laser shots)and does not rely on the coincidence of low-power and high-power focal planes.

In this paper, we consider some multigrid algorithms for the biharmonic problem discretized by Morley element on nonnested meshes. Through taking the averages of the nodal variables we construct an intergrid transfer operator that satisfies a certain stable approximation property. The so-called regularity-approximation assumption is then established. Optimal convergence properties of the W-cycle and a uniform condition number estimate for the variable v-cycle preconditioner are presented. This technique is applicable to other nonconforming plate elements.

Monitoring crustal movements in northern Tianshan Mountain based on GPS technology

Monitoring results for the period 2009-2014 by ten standard GPS stations allowed to determine the crustal movements of seismically active region in south-eastern Kazakhstan. Maps of movement velocity were made in geocentric coordinate system and in reference system of the Eurasian continent. GPS points displacements reflect the features of modern deformation processes that are notable in the high seismic activity region. The structure of the velocity field divergence qualitatively confirms major deformation in the sublatitudinal direction which is parallel to the main ridge of the northern Tianshan Mountain. The epicenters of earthquakes are in agreement with the border areas of compression -tension, as well as the allocated areas of multidirectional rotary motion. The conclusion is that GPS monitoring of the movements of the Earth＇s crust can be used to evaluate the territory＇s stress-strain state for the purpose of seismic zoning and seismic risk assessment.

Activation of anthracite combustion by copper acetate:mechanism,effect of particle size and introduction method

This paper addressed the efect of copper acetate on the combustion characteristics of anthracite depending on the fractional composition of fuel and additive introduction *** was impregnated with 5 wt%of Cu(CH_(3)COO)_(2)by mechanical mixing and incipient wetness *** anthracite samples of diferent fraction with dvides a higher dispersion of the additive and its uniform distribution in the *** ignition and combustion characteristics of the modifed anthracite samples were studied by thermal analysis and high-speed video recording of the processes in a combustion chamber(at heating medium temperature of 800℃).It was found that copper acetate increases anthracite reactivity,which was evidenced by decreased onset temperature of combustion(ΔT_(i))by 35-190℃and reduced ignition delay time(Δτ_(i))by 2.1-5.4 *** acetate reduces fuel underburning(on average by 70%)in the ash residue of anthracite and decreases the amount of CO and NO_(x)in gas-phase products(on average by 18.5%and 20.8%,respectively).The mechanism for activation of anthracite combustion by copper acetate is proposed.

Fast magnetic energy dissipation in relativistic plasma induced by high order laser modes

Fast magnetic field annihilation in a collisionless plasma is induced by using TEM(1,0) laser pulse. The magnetic quadrupole structure formation, expansion and annihilation stages are demonstrated with 2.5-dimensional particle-in-cell simulations. The magnetic field energy is converted to the electric field and accelerate the particles inside the annihilation plane. A bunch of high energy electrons moving backwards is detected in the current sheet. The strong displacement current is the dominant contribution which induces the longitudinal inductive electric field.

This work is concerned with numerical simulations of surface roughening in a polycrystalline aluminum alloy. Using 3D finite difference model, high-resolution simulations are conducted. Effects of loading conditions and grain size on surface roughening and mesoscale deformation processes in AL6061-T3 aluminum alloy under quasistatic uniaxial tension are investigated.

Mass Rock Fall Prediction in zhezkazgan Mines at the Basis of Seismic Regime Analyzing.

zhezkazgan copper deposit is strongly exploited since 1942. Its typical feature is multilevel mineralization. Mine′s thickness of sedimentary rock. Primary copper supply is from 150 to 450meters in depth. Capacity of ore body is 1,5～30 m; suddenly 30 - 60 meters. High capacity parts of deposit is mined oUt by room -pillar system. Stress state of rock mass of the deposit is characterized by that, what horizontal stresses is higher in 4～ 10 times than vertical stresses, which is caused by weight of straining thickness of sedimentary rock and submeridianally oriented. At present over than 50 thousands of pillars is formed as the result of deposit mining. Mined oUt area is divided on separate parts by over than 400 barrier and chain pillars. Spread of primary traderground tunnels exceeds 1200 kilometers, 540kilometers of the spread is operating mines. Tens of any purposes shafts are exploited with general spread of 45 kilometers. Some its decreasing at last time is caused by filling of emptiness by loosened rock as the result of happening falls at mines (Fig. 1).

Ion-plasma sputtering and codeposition of ultrafine Ta and Cd particles on a moving substrate were used to prepare the solid solutions, in particular, the alloys with up to 66.2 at.% Cd in the form of coatings. In vacuum heat treatment cadmium evaporates at 700°C from cadmium based solid solutions resulting in formation of a porous tantalum with a highly developed surface. The prepared tantalum-based materials assume the technological application of the investigation results.

The crisis ecological situation,which is accompanied by an increase in morbidity, reduction in the number of rare and endemic plants and animals,the destabilization of natural ecosystems,is characterized for many regions of *** problem of environmental contamination by pesticides is *** recent years phenylpyrazole insecticides,where the main active ingredient is fipronil,widely used against pests in *** the information about the toxic effects of fipronil pesticides,their mutagenic effects are studied *** purpose of this research was the study of mutagen activity of fipronil pesticide and its metabolite *** objects of study were laboratory rats of various age groups and backgrounds rodent species from fipronil contaminated *** this research work were used cytogenetic and biochemical *** and its metabolite fipronil-sulfone shown expressed genotoxic effect by repeated influence on *** aws established a significant increase of the frequency of structural and genomic mutations in the bone marrow cells of laboratory *** wasn’t detected significant differences in the manifestation of genotoxic effect of fipronil and its metabolite *** level of xenobiotic induction mutagenesis depended on the age of the *** frequency of structural and genomic mutations in 12-month-old rats was higher compared to the 1-month rats.
