Insights into structural and spectroscopic characterization of sm^(3+)doped orange rich red emitting CsMgPO_(4)phosphors

In the present study,sm^(3+)activated inorganic orthophosphate CsMgPO_(4)(CsMP)phosphors were prepared by adopting a solid-state reaction *** structural phase purity and morphological features were studied by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(sEM),*** molecular structure and vibrational modes were substantiated with the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and Raman spectroscopy *** optical bandgap of the host and sm^(3+)doped phosphors was deduced from the diffused reflectance(DR)spectra with a typical value of 5.72 eV and a small variation is observed with increasing concentrations.A systematic study of photoluminescence(PL)properties of sm^(3+)doped CsMP phosphors was carried *** the room temperature excitation and emission spectra,it is found that the phosphor emits in the orange rich red light under the suitable excitation of 402 nm in the UV region and concentration quenching occurs at x=0.02 doping *** emission peaks observed at around 562,598 and 644 nm confirm the characteristic sm^(3+)4 f-4 f *** temperature-dependent photoluminescence(TD-PL)of the x=0.02(optimum doping)is recorded from 30 to 210℃,showing good thermal stability even at 150℃.The thermal quenching mechanisms are discussed based on the configuration coordinate model of excitation and *** prepared phosphors are found to exhibit near thermal stability compared to the commercially available red *** decay time and quantum efficiency were *** colour coordinates are found to lie in the orangish-red region of the colour *** the prepared phosphors CsMP:x sm^(3+)can be useful as a red component in designing UV excitable chip-based phosphor-converted white LED applications.

Growth promoting effect of microbial inoculants on Acacia nilotica grown under nursery conditions

Present study was carried out on Acacia nilotica seedlings grown under different bioinoculation treatments by using laboratory grown liquid cultures of 10 fungal isolates,11 Rhizobium isolates and 5 other bacterial *** cultures were screened for their effects on growth of Acacia nilotica grown in greenhouse *** selected microbial inoculants were assessed as considering their individual performance or in combination with the other inoculants in specific *** higher performance was shown with the combination of Penicillum chrysogenum Thom.1,B 5 bacterial isolate,R10 and/or R11 isolates of ***,it was observed that the above microbial mixed culture inoculation was promoted plant growth specifically number of leaves and the leaf ***,nursery application of mixed microbial inoculants,specifically as above could be beneficial for the production of quality planting material(QPM)of Acacia nilotica and subsequent field applications.

Unified MPPT Controller for Partially shaded Panels in a Photovoltaic Array

The power output of the photovoltaic(PV) system having multiple arrays gets reduced to a great extent when it is partially shaded due to environmental hindrances. The maximum power trackers which are conventionally used may not be competent enough to find the maximum power point(MPP) during partially shaded conditions. The sensible reason for the failure of conventional trackers is during partial shaded conditions the PV arrays exhibit multi peak power curves, thereby making simple maximum power point tracking(MPPT) algorithms like perturb and observe(P&O) to get stuck with local maxima instead of capturing global ***, global search MPPT aided by evolutionary and swarm intelligence algorithms will be conducive to find global power point during partially shaded conditions. This work suggests a unified controller which feeds control signal to its power electronic conditioner placed at each module. The evolutionary algorithm which is taken into consideration in this work is differential evolution(DE).The performance of the proposed method is compared to the classical un-dimensional search controller and it is evident from the Matlab/simulink results that the unified controller prevails over the distributed counterpart.

Ocean productivity is the foundation of marine food web,which continuously removes atmospheric carbon dioxide and supports life at sea and on ***-temporal variability of net primary productivity(NPP),sea surface temperature(ssT),sea surface salinity(sss),mixed layer depth(MLD),and euphotic zone depth(EZD) in the northern B ay of Bengal(BoB) during three monsoon seasons were examined in this study based on remote sensing data for the period 2005 to *** compare the NPP distribution between the coastal zones and open BoB,the study area was divided into five zones(Z1-Z5).Results suggest that most productive zones Z2 and Zl are located at the head bay area and are directly influenced by freshwater discharge together with riverine sediment and nutrient *** Z1-Z5,the NPP ranges from 5 315.38 mg/(m~2·d) to 346.7 mg/(m~2·d)(carbon,since then the same).The highest monthly average NPP of 5 315.38 mg/(m~2·d) in February and 5 039.36 mg/(m~2·d) in June were observed from Z2,while the lowest monthly average of 346.72 mg/(m~2·d) was observed in March from Z4,which is an oceanic *** values vary from 6-154 m for the study area,and it has an inverse correlation with NPP *** is deeper during the summer season and shallower during the wintertime,with a corresponding increase in *** the year,monthly ssT shows slight fluctuation for the entire study area,and statistical analysis shows a significant correlation among NPP,and EZD,overall positive between NPP and MLD,whereas no significant correlation among sss,and ssT for the northern ***-term trends in ssT and productivity were significantly po sitive in head bay zones but negatively productive in the open *** findings in this study on the distribution of NPP,ssT,sss,MLD,and EZD and their seasonal variability in five different zones of BoB can be used to further improve the management of marine resources and overall environmental condition in response to climate change

Regarding quality inspection of technologically important nanocomposite hard coatings based on Ti,B,si,C,and N and bioceramics such as hydroxyapatite that are used in small-scale high-precision devices and bio-implants,it is essential to study the failure mechanisms associated with nanoindentation,such as fracture,delamination,and *** stress imposed by the indenter can affect the fracture morphology and the interfacial fracture energy,depending on indenter shape,substrate type,crystallographic properties,pre-existing flaws,internal microcracks,and *** here are finite-element-based fracture studies that provide insights into the different cracking mechanisms related to the aforementioned failure process,showing that the fracture morphology is affected by the interaction of different cracking *** interfacial fracture energy,toughness,and residual stress are calculated using existing models with minor adjustments,and it is found that increasing the indenter sharpness improves the shear stress distribution,making the coating more prone to *** on the prevailing type of stress,the stress distribution beneath the depression results in either crack formation or a dislocation pile-up leading to strain *** forms of resistances resulting from the indentation process are found to affect the tip–sample conduction,and because of its stronger induced plasticity than that of a Berkovich indenter tip,a sharper cube-corner tip produces more resistance.

In this paper,an advanced and optimized Light Gradient Boosting Machine(LGBM)technique is proposed to identify the intrusive activities in the Internet of Things(IoT)*** followings are the major contributions:i)An optimized LGBM model has been developed for the identification of malicious IoT activities in the IoT network;ii)An efficient evolutionary optimization approach has been adopted for finding the optimal set of hyper-parameters of LGBM for the projected ***,a Genetic Algorithm(GA)with k-way tournament selection and uniform crossover operation is used for efficient exploration of hyper-parameter search space;iii)Finally,the performance of the proposed model is evaluated using state-of-the-art ensemble learning and machine learning-based model to achieve overall generalized performance and *** outcomes reveal that the proposed approach is superior to other considered methods and proves to be a robust approach to intrusion detection in an IoT environment.

Improved deep mixed kernel randomized network for wind speed prediction

Forecasting wind speed is an extremely complicated and challenging problem due to its chaotic nature and its dependence on several atmospheric *** there are several intelligent techniques in the literature for wind speed prediction,their accuracies are not yet very ***,in this paper,a new hybrid intelligent technique named the deep mixed kernel random vector functional-link network auto-encoder(AE)is proposed for wind speed *** proposed method eliminates manual tuning of hidden nodes with random weights and biases,providing prediction model generalization and representation *** reduces reconstruction error due to the exact inversion of the kernel matrix,unlike the pseudo-inverse in a random vector functional-link network,and short-ens the execution ***,the presence of a direct link from the input to the output reduces the complexity of the prediction model and improves the prediction *** kernel parameters and coefficients of the mixed kernel system are optimized using a new chaotic sine–cosine Levy flight optimization *** lowest errors in terms of mean absolute error(0.4139),mean absolute percentage error(4.0081),root mean square error(0.4843),standard deviation error(1.1431)and index of agreement(0.9733)prove the efficiency of the proposed model in comparison with other deep learning models such as deep AEs,deep kernel extreme learning ma-chine AEs,deep kernel random vector functional-link network AEs,benchmark models such as least square support vector machine,autoregressive integrated moving average,extreme learning machines and their hybrid models along with different state-of-the-art methods.

In this paper,we consider an imperfect production-inventory system which consists of a single manufacturer and a single *** manufacturer delivers the order quantity to the retailer in some unequal-sized *** separate the defective items,the retailer performs an error-free screening process after receiving each delivery from the *** in retailer’s inventory is allowed and completely *** customer demand is influenced by the retail price,advertisement frequency and greening level of the *** centralized model and the decentralized model based on a stackelberg gaming approach are developed to determine optimal pricing,advertising and inventory decisions.A cost-sharing contract between the manufacturer and the retailer is implemented,which enhances the environmental performance,advertisement frequency and profitability of the supply chain *** proposed model is illustrated with a numerical *** analysis for some key parameters is carried out and several managerial insights are also highlighted.

Evaluation of VsK separation in the classification of two mineralogically different iron ore fines

With gradually diminishing Fe grade in tandem with the ever-increasing demand for high-grade iron ores,iron ore industries are now focusing on the beneficiation of low-grade iron ore fines,mainly considered ***,the scarcity of water at many of the mines’sites and the new water conservation policies of the governments have necessitated research on suitable dry beneficiation *** this context,an effort has been made to evaluate the efficacy of a dry classification unit,such as the VsK separator,in upgrading the iron values of two low-grade Indian iron ore fines,named sample 1 and sample *** mineralogical studies,involving scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction,suggest that sample 1 is a low-grade blue dust sample(51.2wt%Fe)containing hematite and quartz as the major minerals,while sample 2(53.3wt%Fe)shows the presence of goethite in addition to hematite and *** experiments,carried out using Box-Benkhen statistical design,indicate that blower speed,followed by feed rate,is the most influencing operating parameter in obtaining a good product in the VsK *** optimum levels of the operating factors,a fines product with~55wt%Fe at a yield of~40%can be obtained from sample 1,while sample 2 can be upgraded to~56wt%Fe at a yield of~85%.The results suggest that the VsK separator can be employed as an efficient intermediate unit operation in a processing circuit to upgrade the iron contents of iron ore fines.
