Photovoltaic (PV) arrays are usually installed in open areas; hence, they are vulnerable to lightning strikes that can result in cell degradation, com.lete dam.ge, service disruption, and increased m.intenance costs. As a result, it is im.erative to develop an ef.ective and ef.icient lightning protection system.by evaluating the transient behaviour of.PV arrays during lightning events. The aim.is to evaluate the transient analysis of.large-scale PV system. when subjected to lightning strikes using the f.nite dif.erence tim. dom.in (f.TD) technique. Transient overvoltages are calculated at various points within the m.unting system. To optim.se the f.TD m.thod's execution tim. and m.ke it m.re suitable f.r less powerf.l hardware, a variable cell size approach is em.loyed. Specif.cally, larger cell dim.nsions are used in the earthing system.and sm.ller cell dim.nsions are used in the m.unting system. The f.TD m.thod is utilised to calculate the tem.oral variation of.transient overvoltages f.r large-scale PV system. under dif.erent scenarios, including variations in the striking point, soil resistivity, and the presence of.a m.tal f.am.. Sim.lation results indicate that the highest transient overvoltages occur at the striking point, and these values increase with the presence of.a PV m.tal f.am. as well as with higher soil resistivity. f.rtherm.re, a com.arison is perf.rm.d between the overvoltage results obtained f.om.the f.TD approach and the partial elem.nt equivalent circuit (PEEC) m.thod at the f.ur corner points of.the m.unting system. to dem.nstrate the superior accuracy of.the f.TD m.thod. Besides, a laboratory experim.nt is conducted on a sm.ll-scale PV system.to validate the sim.lation results. The calculated overvoltages obtained f.om.the f.TD and PEEC m.thods are com.ared with the m.asured values, yielding a m.an absolute error of.5% and 11% f.r the f.TD and PEEC m.thods, respectively, thereby conf.rm.ng the accuracy of.the f.TD sim.lation m.del.

Condition m.nitoring of.the insulating system.within power transf.rm.rs has a m.ssive im.ortance according to the electrical *** gas analysis(DGA)is f.equently used f.r this ***,DGA lacks the necessary level of.accuracy to identif. all equipm.nt f.ults,particularly in their initial stages of.***,it does not have the capability f.r real-tim. m.nitoring and relies on m.nual sam.ling and laboratory testing,causing potential delays in f.ult ***,the interpretation of.DGA data necessitates specialised expertise,which m.y pose dif.iculties f.r sm.ller entities that have lim.ted access to ***,the contribution of.this research is to use inf.ared spectroscopy m.asurem.nts as a new ef.ective technique substituting the DGA m.thod f.r f.ult diagnosis in insulating *** inception f.ults that were considered in this study were the electrical f.ult(discharges of.high energy)and the therm.l f.ult(300°Cm.eraturef.ed especially f.r serving the sim.lation processes inside the laboratory f.r both types of.inception ***,six sam.les of.pure paraf.inic m.neral oil were taken to be degraded in the *** that,all of.them.besides another sam.le that were not subjected to any kind of.f.ults were taken to be exam.ned by f.urier transf.rm.inf.ared(f.IR)spectroscopy to obtain an overview of.the oil's behaviour in each f.ult *** that,the f.IR analysis was initially verif.ed utilising the DGA ***,f.r f.rther af.irm.tion,the dielectric dissipation f.ctor(DDf.f.r all sam.les was *** the f.nal analysis,the verif.cation tests provide experim.ntal evidence about the outperf.rm.nce of.this new optical technique in detecting the transf.rm.r's inception f.ults in addition to proving its potential f.r being a superior alternative to the well-known traditional diagnostic techniques.

Developing a biom.terial f.r wound healing applications is still a ***,dysprosium.oxide(Dy_(2)O_(3)),alum.num.oxide(Al_(2)O_(3)),and graphene oxide(GO)were em.edded in cast f.lm. based on polycaprolactone(PCL)to be exam.ned f.r wound dressing *** techniques were used to characterize the f.bricated f.lm. including X-ray dif.raction(XRD),f.urier transf.rm.inf.ared spectroscopy(f.IR),Ram.n,and scanning electron m.croscopy(SEm.,besides their biological *** therm.gravim.tric analysis(TGA)exhibits high therm.l stability as the scaf.old weight decreases slightly to 98.6%af.er raising the tem.erature f.om.room.tem.erature to 280℃.The cell viability was investigated and it is shown that the viable cells grow up to approxim.tely 93%at 75μg/***,the cell attachm.nt shows excellent behavior as the cells attach on m.st of.the surf.ce of.the m.dif.ed PCL which shows high biocom.atibility.

Cautionary Rem.rks When Testing Agreem.nt between Two Raters f.r Continuous Scale m.asurem.nts: A Tutorial in Clinical Epidem.ology with Im.lem.ntation Using R

Background: When continuous scale m.asurem.nts are available, agreem.nts between two m.asuring devices are assessed both graphically and analytically. In clinical investigations, Bland and Altm.n proposed plotting subject-wise dif.erences between raters against subject-wise averages. In order to scientif.cally assess agreem.nt, Bartko recom.ended com.ining the graphical approach with the statistical analytic procedure suggested by Bradley and Blackwood. The advantage of.using this approach is that it enables signif.cance testing and sam.le size estim.tion. We noted that the direct use of.the results of.the regression is m.sleading and we provide a correction in this regard. m.thods: Graphical and linear m.dels are used to assess agreem.nts f.r continuous scale m.asurem.nts. We dem.nstrate that sof.ware linear regression results should not be readily used and we provided correct analytic procedures. The degrees of.f.eedom.of.the f.statistics are incorrectly reported, and we propose m.thods to overcom. this problem.by introducing the correct analytic f.rm.of.the f.statistic. m.thods f.r sam.le size estim.tion using R-f.nctions are also given. Results: We believe that the tutorial and the R-codes are usef.l tools f.r testing and estim.ting agreem.nt between two rating protocols f.r continuous scale m.asurem.nts. The interested reader m.y use the codes and apply them.to their available data when the issue of.agreem.nt between two raters is the subject of.interest.

Prelim.nary Application of.High-f.equency Ultrasound in the Dif.erentiation of.Pem.higus and Bullous Pem.higoid: An Observational Study

Objective: Ultrasonography is a diagnostic im.ging technique used to visualize subcutaneous body structures f.r identif.cation of.possible pathologies. In this study, we aim.d to explore the clinical signif.cance of.high-f.equency ultrasound in dif.erentiating the location of.blisters between pem.higus and bullous pem.higoid. m.thods: Eighteen patients were recruited in Departm.nt of.Derm.tology, Zhongda Hospital f.om.2020 to 2021 and divided into a pem.higus group (n = 8) and a bullous pem.higoid group (n = 10) according to the diagnostic criteria f.r each. Ultrasonographic im.ges were collected using a 50-m.z high-f.equency ultrasound system. The indexes of.ultrasonic evaluation were the layer (epiderm.s or derm.s), size, shape, internal echo, and boundary of.the blister. Categorical variables are expressed as n (%), and dif.erences were com.ared using f.sher's exact test. Results: The ultrasonographic im.ges in the pem.higus group showed an intraepiderm.l sem.-arc or irregular anechoic or hypoechoic areas. The inf.rior borders were situated above the characteristic thin linear hyperechoic bands of.the epiderm.s. A linear hypoechoic band was present at the derm.epiderm.l junction in som. cases. In the ultrasonographic im.ges of.the bullous pem.higoid group, the linear hyperechoic bands of.the epiderm.s were continuous and intact. An oval f.uid anechoic area (subepiderm.l blister) was present im.ediately below the bands. The location of.the blisters in the ultrasonographic im.ges was signif.cantly dif.erent between the 2 groups (P f.equency ultrasound can be used as an auxiliary m.ans to dif.erentiate the location of.blisters between pem.higus and bullous pem.higoid. © 2022 Hospital f.r Skin Diseases (Institute of.Derm.tology), Chinese Academ. of.m.dical Sciences, and Chinese m.dical Association, published by Wolters Kluwer, Inc.

A 56-day f.eding period was perf.rm.d to investigate the possible im.acts of.dietary nano curcum.n(0,50,100,150,and 200 ppm.on the growth,nutrient utilization,non-specif.c im.une param.ters,antioxidants in Nile tilapia under chronic low tem.erature(21.02±0.11◦C).f.shes(n=225;Initial weight=4.39±0.08 g/f.sh)were random.y stocked at 15 f.sh/tank f.r f.ve experim.ntal groups in *** low-tem.erature circum.tances,dietary curcum.n in nano f.rm.showed no notable alteration in growth variable,nutrient ef.iciency,digestive enzym.s ef.iciency,biom.tric indices,survival rates,and hem.tological ***,the serum.of.f.shes with nano curcum.n diets under low-tem.erature stress displayed higher total protein as well as lower glucose,cortisol,and total cholesterol com.ared with the control ***,f.sh f.d nano curcum.n diets displayed higher lysozym. and bactericidal activities com.ared to the control group and the best perf.rm.nce was f.und at dietary nano curcum.n level of.100 ***,groups f.d the basal diet dem.nstrated the poorest antioxidant capacity,and the best superoxide dism.tase(SOD)and glutathione peroxidase(GPx)existed in f.sh with nano curcum.n diets while the best catalase(CAT)ef.iciency occurred at higher nano curcum.n levels≥100 *** addition,higher counts of.intestinal m.crobiota in term. of.total bacterial count(TBC),total yeast and m.lds count(TYm.),and colif.rm.were noticed in f.sh consum.d the basal diet com.ared to groups f.d on nano curcum.n *** conclusion,incorporating nano curcum.n at a level of.100 m./kg diet(particularly at 150 m./kg)im.roved a non-specif.c im.une response,antioxidant,and healthier gastrointestinal m.crobiota in Nile tilapia under chronic low-tem.erature stress.

m.m.ry loss and dem.ntia are m.jor public health concerns with a substantial econom.c *** stress has been shown to play a crucial role in the pathophysiology of.hippocam.al dam.ge-induced m.m.ry *** investigate whether the antioxidant and anti-inf.am.atory com.ound vanillyla cetone(zingerone) can protect against hippocam.al dam.ge and m.m.ry loss induced by cadm.um.chloride(CdCl_(2)) adm.nistration in rats,we explo red the potential involvem.nt of.the nuclear f.ctor erythroid 2-related f.ctor 2(Nrf.) signaling pathway,which is known to m.dulate oxidative stress and *** healt hy m.le Wistar rats were divided into f.ve groups:vehicle-treated(control),vanillylacetone,CdCl_(2),vanillylacetone+ CdCl_(2),vanillylacetone+ CdCl_(2)+ brusatol(a selective pharm.cological N rf.inhibitor) *** ef.ectively attenuated CdCl_(2)-induced dam.ge in the dental gyrus of.the hippocam.us and im.roved the m.m.ry f.nction assessed by the m.rris Water m.ze ***,vanillylacetone m.rkedly decreased the hippocam.al tissue levels of.inf.am.atory biom.rkers(interleukin-6,tum.r necrosis f.ctor-α,intracellular cell adhesive m.lecules) and apoptosis biom.rkers(Bax and cleaved caspase-3).The control and CdCl_(2)-treated groups treated with va nillylacetone showed reduced generation of.reactive oxygen species,decreased m.londialdehyde levels,and increased superoxide dism.tase and glutathione activities,along with signif.cant elevation of.nuclear Nrf. m.NA and protein expression in hippocam.al *** the protective ef.ects of.vanillylacetone we re substantially blocked by the co-adm.nistration of.brusatol(a selective N rf. inhibitor).Va nillylacetone m.tigated hippocam.al dam.ge and m.m.ry loss induced by CdCl_(2),at least in part, by activating the nuclear transcription f.ctor ***,vanillylacetone exerted its potent antioxidant and antiinf.am.atory actions.

The current study was perf.rm.d to evaluate the liver f.nction status as well as m.lecular characterization of.the recovered worm. in rats experim.ntally inf.cted with f. hepatica. Sixteen m.le Wister rats aged 30 days were random.y allocated into two groups (n = 8). The f.rst group was inf.cted orally with 15 viable encysted m.tacercaria of.f. hepatica per anim.l. The other group was kept non-inf.cted (control group). At zero tim. (bef.re inf.ction), the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th and 14th weeks post-inf.ction (WPI), blood and serum.sam.les were collected via puncture of.retro-orbital plexus of.veins f.om.each rat. Serum.enzym. level (AST and ALT) and total protein were m.asured, and the serum.protein prof.le was carried out using agarose gel electrophoresis. During the period of.the experim.nt, serum.ALT and AST activities and serum.total globulins signif.cantly increased while serum.total proteins and album.n m.rkedly decreased in the inf.cted group. On the 14th WPI, the data of.the electropherogram.showed that globulin f.actions (α1-, β- and γ-globulin) levels were signif.cantly increased while α2-globulin was m.rkedly decreased in the inf.cted group. The m.lecular analysis conf.rm.d the am.lif.cation of.the ITS1, ITS2 and NDI genes of.f. hepatica recovered f.om.the inf.cted liver of.rats with am.licon sizes of.630, 510 and 560 bp, respectively. Sequencing of.the am.lif.ed ITS gene resulted in the determ.nation of.3 strains (PP108836, PP108837, and PP108838). Also, analysis of.the ITS2 gene resulted in obtaining 3 isolates under the accession num.ers (PP109065, PP109066, and PP109067). In conclusion, f.sciolosis in the rat m.del is suitable f.r routine experim.ntal inf.ctions and caused a pronounced liver dysf.nction with discharging of.the f.sciola eggs in the f.eces and the developm.nt of.adult stages in the bile ducts. f.rtherm.re, m.lecular techniques are a sensitive

The aim.of.the present study was to determ.ne the prevalence of.bovine cysticercosis in both cattle and buf.loas, in Egypt and to assess the cysticidal ef.icacy of.Balanites aegyptiaca f.uits (B. aegyptiaca) and m.ringa oleif.ra seeds (m. oleif.ra) extracts in experim.ntally inf.cted m.ce. The study detected the level of.tum.r necrosis f.ctor (TNf.α) to m.nitor the im.une and inf.am.atory responses of.experim.ntally inf.cted m.ce. Through m.at inspection, a total num.er of.2125 m.le bovine, 2 to 5 years old, (1125 cattle and 1000 buf.loes) were exam.ned under the authority of.Albsatine and Alwaraq of.icial abattoirs in Cairo Governorate, Egypt covering the period extended f.om.m.rch 2022 to April 2023. The overall prevalence of.the disease am.ng bovine was 7.8% (6.31% of.cattle and 9.5% of.buf.loes). Besides, B. aegyptiaca and m. oleif.ra extracts showed cysticidal activity in experim.ntally inf.cted m.ce. A decrease in the num.ers of.cysticerci was f.und in all treated m.ce groups, and up to 88% reduction was achieved in the B. aegyptiaca-treated group;higher than that was recorded in both m. oleif.ra (72.23%) and albendazole-treated ones (80.56%). Postm.rtem.f.ndings proved that m. oleif.ra and B. aegyptiaca reduced cysticerci num.ers com.arable to a com.ercial anthelm.ntic. The study showed a signif.cant decrease (P 0.001) in TNf.α levels af.er treatm.nt with Balanites and m.ringa extracts, com.ared with the untreated control and the albendazole-treated groups.
