Ciliates in the subclass Hypotrichia have long been difficult to classify as they are one of the most polymorphic and highly differentiated groups,leading to their systematics remaining *** relationships within the hypotrich family Strongylidiidae have been ambiguous due to discordance between the morphological and genetic *** this study,a new strongylidiid genus Heterouroleptus is established,mainly based on the novel mode of origin of the ventral cirral rows:left ventral cirral row(LvR)originates from frontal-ventral-transverse cirral anlagen(FvTA)Ⅲ(anterior portion),Iv(middle portion),and v(rear portion);right ventral cirral row comes from the entire FvTA vI.A new species,Hetero-uroleptus weishanensis ***.,***.,is investigated along with the morphometric and molecular data from a population of Strongylidium *** new sequences and nuclear gene markers(single-gene and multi-gene)are provided to analyze the phylogenetic relationships of strongylidiids,with the COI gene utilized to uncover further genetic information at species level and *** results reveal that:(1)Strongylidiidae is monophyletic and has a close relationship with Dorsomarginalia;(2)Heterouroleptus *** a clade that is sister to all the other strongylidiids;(3)Hemiamphisiella Foissner,1988 and Pseudouroleptus Hemberger,1985 should not be synonyms,and both genera should be subdivided due to their variable morphological characteristics;(4)LvR originating from three anlagen is a plesiomorphy of *** discovery of the origin of the LvR not only contributes to the establishment of the genus Heterouroleptus,but also helps to improve the diagnosis of the family Strongylidiidae.

The present study focuses on the analysis of free vibrations of axisymmetric functionally graded hollow spheres. The material is assumed to be graded in radial di- rection with a simple power law. Matrix Frrbenious method of extended power series is employed to derive the analytical solutions for displacement, temperature, and stresses. The dispersion relations for the existence of various types of pos- sible modes of vibrations in the considered hollow sphere are derived in a compact form. In order to explore the character- istics of vibrations, the secular equations are further solved by using fixed point iteration numerical technique with the help of MATLAB software. The numerical results have been presented graphically for polymethyl methecrylate materials in respect of natural frequencies, frequency shift, inverse quality factor, displacement, temperature change, and radial stress.

We fit various color–magnitude diagrams(CMDs) of the high-latitude Galactic globular clusters nGC 5024(M53),nGC 5053,nGC 5272(M3),nGC 5466,and nGC 7099(M30) by isochrones from the Dartmouth Stellar Evolution Database and Bag of Stellar Tracks and Isochrones for α–enrichment [α/Fe] = +*** the CMDs,we use data sets from Hubble Space Telescope,Gaia,and other sources utilizing,at least,25 photometric filters for each *** obtain the following characteristics with their statistical uncertainties for nGC 5024,nGC 5053,nGC 5272,nGC 5466,and nGC 7099,respectively:metallicities [Fe/H] =-1.93 ± 0.02,-2.08 ± 0.03,-1.60 ± 0.02,-1.95 ± 0.02,and-2.07 ± 0.04 dex with their systematic uncertainty 0.1 dex;ages 13.00 ± 0.11,12.70 ± 0.11,11.63 ± 0.07,12.15 ± 0.11,and 12.80 ± 0.17 Gyr with their systematic uncertainty 0.8 Gyr;distances(systematic uncertainty added) 18.22 ± 0.06 ± 0.60,16.99 ± 0.06 ± 0.56,10.08 ± 0.04 ± 0.33,15.59 ±0.03 ± 0.51,and 8.29 ± 0.03 ± 0.27 kpc;reddenings E(B-v) = 0.023 ± 0.004,0.017 ± 0.004,0.023 ± 0.004,0.023 ± 0.003,and 0.045 ± 0.002 mag with their systematic uncertainty 0.01 mag;extinctions Av= 0.08 ± 0.01,0.06 ± 0.01,0.08 ± 0.01,0.08 ± 0.01,and 0.16 ± 0.01 mag with their systematic uncertainty 0.03 mag,which suggest the total Galactic extinction Av= 0.08 across the whole Galactic dust to extragalactic objects at the north Galactic *** horizontal branch morphology difference of these clusters is explained by their different metallicity,age,mass-loss efficiency,and loss of low-mass members in the evolution of the core-collapse cluster nGC 7099 and loose clusters nGC 5053 and nGC 5466.

Two petrologically distinct alkali feldspar syenite bodies （AFS-1 and AFS-2） from Chhotaudepur area, Deccan Large Igneous Province are reported in the present work. AFS-1 is characterized by hypidio-morphic texture and consists of feldspar （Or55Ab43 to Or25Ab71）, ferro-pargasite/ferro-pargasite horn-blende, hastingsite, pyroxene （Wo47, En5, Fs46）, magnetite and biotite. AFS-2 exhibits panidiomorphic texture with euhedral pyroxene （Wo47-50, En22-39, Fs12e31） set in a groundmass matrix of alkali feldspar （Or99Ab0.77 to Or1.33Ab98）, titanite and magnetite. In comparison to AFS-1, higher elemental concentra-tions of Ba, Sr and PREE are observed in AFS-2. The average peralkaline index of the alkali feldspar syenites is w1 indicating their alkaline nature. variation discrimination diagrams involving major and trace elements and their ratios demonstrate that these alkali feldspar syenites have a shoshonite affinity but emplaced in a within-plate and rifting environment. no evidence of crustal contamination is perceptible in the multi-element primitive mantle normalized diagram as well as in terms of trace elemental ratios. The enrichment of incompatible elements in the alkali feldspar syenites suggests the involvement of mantle metasomatism in their genesis.

Improvement of coking properties of sub-bituminous coal （A） and bituminous coal （B） was done using blended organic solvents, namely, n-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone （nMP） and ethylenediamine （EDA）. various solvent blends were employed for the coal extraction under the total reflux condition. A low-cost ceramic membrane was fabricated using industrial waste iron ore slime of M/s TATA steel R＆D, Jamshedpur （India） to separate out the dissolved coking fraction from the solvent-coal mixture. Membrane separations were carried out in a batch cell, and around 75 % recovered nMP was reused. The fractionated coal properties were determined using proximate and ultimate analyses. In the case of bituminous coal, the ash and sulfur contents were decreased by 99.3 % and 79.2 %, respectively, whereas, the carbon content was increased by 23.9 % in the separated coal fraction. Three different cleaning agents, namely deionized water, sodium dodecyl sulphate and nMP were used to regain the original membrane permeability for the reusing.

Biodiversity and seasonal variation of benthic macrofauna in Minicoy Island, Lakshadweep,India

From the Indian coast only limited data are available on the benthic fauna of the seagrass communities. In this study, seasonal variation in the distribution of macrobenthos and influence of environmental parameters was explored at four seagrass beds and two mangrove stations along the Minicoy Island, Lakshadweep, India, from September 1999 to August 2001. A total of 160 macrobenthic species from eight major groups represented the macrofauna of the Minicoy Island. Of the identified taxa, molluscs 70（gastropods 41.46%, bivalves 7.5%）, polychaetes 27（16.88%）, crustaceans 30（18.75%）, echinoderms 11（6.88%） and remaining others. Average seasonal abundance of benthic macrofauna ranged from 219 to 711 ind./m2, species diversity varied from 1.45 to 3.64 bits per individual, species richness index ranged from 4.01 to 26.17, evenness 0.69 to 1.66. In general, the higher abundance and species diversity was noticed in southern seagrass stations and northern seagrass stations, but in the mangrove stations comparatively low species diversity was observed. Three-way analysis of variance indicated that all communities resulted as being significantly different between seagrass and mangrove station, mainly when the seasonal interaction was considered. Multivariate analyses were employed to help define benthic characteristic and the relationship between environmental parameters at the six monitoring stations. Results of cluster analyses and multidimensional scale plot suggest that for mangrove region, different physiographic provinces, lower salinity, dissolved oxygen and sediment biotic structure have a higher influence on the species composition and diversity than other oceanographic conditions.

Ab initio calculations are performed on the electronic, structural, elastic and optical properties of the cubic per- ovskite kCdF3. Tile kohn Sham equations are solved by applying the full potential linearized augmented plane wave （FP-LAPW） method. The exchange correlation effects are included through the local density approximation （LDA ）, generalized gradient approximation （GGA） and modified Becke-Johnson （mBJ） exchange potential The calculated lattice constant is in good agreement with the experimental result. The elastic properties such as elastic constants, anisotropy factor, shear modulus, Young＇s modulus and Poisson＇s ratio are calculated. kCdF3 is ductile and elastically anisotropic. The calculations of the electronic band structure, density of states （DOS） and charge density show that this compound has an indirect energy band gap （M-F） with a mixed ionic and covalent bonding. The contribution of the different bands is analyzed from the total and partial density of states curves. Optical response of the dielectric functions, optical reflectivity, absorption coefficient, real part of optical conductivity, refractive index, extinction coefficient and electron energy loss, are presented for the energy range of O-40ev. The compound kCdF3 can be used for high-frequency optical and optoelectronic devices.

This paper sets forth a geomechanics framework for assessing the energy efficiency of rotary percussive drilling using the energy criterion, which has been proposed by victor Oparin for volumetric destruction of high-stress rocks having nonuniform physico-mechanical properties. We review the long-term research and development in the specified area of science and technology, including research and development projects implemented at the Institute of Mining, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. A new modified expression of Oparin’s dimensionless energy criterion of volumetric rock destruction k is introduced. The range of in situ values is determined for the energy criterion of volumetric rock destruction at the optimized energy efficiency of rotary percussive drilling. The temporospatial intervals of geotechnical monitoring are found to control pneumatic drilling energy efficiency at subsoil use objects in Russia. The integrated experimental, theoretical and geotechnical approach to the comprehensive investigation of real-time processes of rock fracture in rotary percussive drilling using the energy concept possesses the necessary geomechanical performance-and-technology potential to create the next level geotechnical monitoring of drilling systems for various purposes, including determination of physico-mechanical properties and the stress-strain analysis of rock mass in full-scale drilling.
