We investigate problems of fluid structure interaction type and aim for a formulation that leads to a well posed problem and a stable numerical *** first objective is to investigate if the generally accepted formulations of the fluid structure interaction problem are the only possible *** second objective is to derive a stable numerical *** accomplish that we will use a weak.coupling procedure and employ summation-by-parts operators and penalty *** compare the weak.coupling with other common *** also study the effect of high order accurate *** multiple dimensions this is a formidable task.and we start by investigating the simplest possible model problem *** a flow model we use the linearized Euler equations in one dimension and as the structure model we consider a spring.

Purpose:This study was aimed to determine associations of accelerometer-determined time and bouts of sedentary behavior,light physical activity(LPA),and moderate-to-vigorous PA(MVPA)with sarcopenia and incident falls over 12 ***:A total of 3334 Swedish 70-year-olds were assessed for sarcopenia,as defined by the revised definition of the European Work.ng Group on Sarcopenia in Older *** were based on low scores for appendicular lean mass(dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry),hand grip strength,and the Timed Up and Go *** 7 days after baseline,total time and total number of bouts(≥10 min of continuous activity at a given intensity)of activity performed at sedentary,LPA,and MVPA intensities were assessed by *** falls were self-reported 6 months and 12 months after ***:Only 1.8%of participants had probable or confirmed *** multivariable adjustment for other levels of activity,only greater MVPA time was associated with a decreased lik.lihood of having low appendicular lean mass,low hand grip strength,and slow Timed Up and Go time as defined by the European Work.ng Group on Sarcopenia in Older People criteria(all pk.lihood of probable or confirmed sarcopenia(odds ratio=0.80,95%confidence interval:0.71-0.91 h/week..Similar associations were identified for total number of bouts,with no evidence of threshold effects for longer duration of bouts of MVPA.A total of 14%of participants reported-1 fall,but neither total time nor bouts of activity was associated with incident falls(all p>0.05).Conclusion:Higher amounts of accelerometer-determined MVPA are consistently associated with a decreased lik.lihood of sarcopenia and its components,regardless of the length of bouts or amounts of sedentary behavior.

The finite volume(FV)method is the dominating discretization technique for computational fluid dynamics(CFD),particularly in the case of compressible *** discontinuous Galerk.n(DG)method has emerged as a promising highaccuracy *** standard DG method reduces to a cell-centered FV method at lowest ***,many of today’s CFD codes use a vertex-centered FV method in which the data structures are edge *** develop a new DG method that reduces to the vertex-centered FV method at lowest order,and examine here the new scheme for scalar hyperbolic ***,the method shows optimal-order accuracy for a smooth linear *** applying a basic hp-adaption strategy,the method successfully handles *** also discuss how to extend the FV edge-based data structure to support the new *** this way,it will in principle be possible to extend an existing code employing the vertex-centered and edge-based FV discretization to encompass higher accuracy through the new DG method.

Back.round: Regular physical activity(PA) has documented effects in prevention and treatment of many non-communicable diseases(NCDs).Physical inactivity is recognized as the fourth leading risk.factor for premature death, worldwide. Despite these facts, physical inactivity is increasing,not only in high-income, but also in middle-and low-income countries. To address this negative trend, evidence-based methods to increase PA are needed. The purpose of this paper is to describe the implementation and assessment of 4 strategies designed to increase PA in ***: Four strategies were used: i) introduction and evaluation of an education and training program on the Swedish method of Physical Activity on Prescription(PAP) among health care professionals, ii) translation of the PAP evidence-based handbook. Physical Activity in the Prevention and Treatment of Disease(called FYSS in Swedish) into Vietnamese, iii) launch of a mass-media campaign to promote PA, and iv)advocacy to support development of PA guidelines in ***: The evaluation indicated that the participating health care professionals had a positive attitude to PAP. However, they also reported uncertainty in prescribing PA. FYSS was translated and disseminated successfully to health care professionals. A mass-media campaign identified the beneficial effects of PA to health care professionals, journalists, policy mak.rs, and the public. Last, the process of developing national guidelines on PA was ***: This project led to enhanced awareness and appreciation of PA in the prevention and treatment of NCDs among health care professionals as well as initiation of national PA guidelines. Important lessons also were learned in the presentation of PAP, which will be considered when designing similar projects in the future.

This study examined the psychometric properties of the Swedish and the original version of the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture within a Swedish hospital setting and described health care staff’s perceptions of patient safety culture. A web-survey was used to obtain data from registered nurses, enrolled nurses and physicians (N = 1023). Psychometric properties were tested using Confirmatory Factor Analysis and internal consistency using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Root mean square error of approximation and other fit indices indicated psychoFmetric properties for both versions to be acceptable. Internal consistency for the dimensions varied between 0.60 and 0.87. Staff scored the dimension “Teamwork.Within Units” highest and the dimension “Hospital Management Support” the lowest. The safety was graded as very good or excellent by 58.9% of the respondents and one third had reported more than one event in the past 12 months. The questionnaire is considered to be useful for measuring patient safety culture in Swedish hospital settings. Managers have a great responsibility to work.with improving patient safety culture.

Many hospital patients are affected by adverse events. Managers are important when improving safety. The perception of patient safety culture varies among health care staff. Health care staff (n = 1023) work.ng in medical, surgical or mixed medical-surgical health care divisions answered the 51 items (14 dimensions) Swedish Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture (S-HSOPSC). Respondents with a managerial function scored higher than non-managers for 11 of 14 dimensions, indicating patient safety culture strengths for a majority of dimensions. Enrolled nurses and staff with experience > 10 years also scored high for several dimensions. The 12 dimensions and sample characteristics explained 49% and 26% of the variance for the outcome dimensions Overall Perceptions of Safety and Frequency of Incident Reporting, respectively. RNs, ENs and physicians have different views on patient safety culture. Hospital Management Support and Organisational Learning is some important factors influencing patient safety culture. Bridging the gap in health care staff’s perceptions of safety in order to improve patient safety is of utmost importance. Managers have the responsibility to foster patient safety culture at their work.lace and can thus benefit from results when improving safety for patients.
