Various sectors of the industry are searching for new m.terials with specific requirem.nts,providing im.roved *** study presents novel com.osite m.terials based on polylactide that have been m.dified with the organosilicon com.ound,(3-thiopropyl)polysilsesquioxane(SSQ-SH).The SSQ-SH com.ound is a m.xture of cage structures and not fully condensed random.*** com.osite m.terials were obtained through injection *** study includes a com.rehensive characterization of the new m.terials that analyze their functional properties,such as rheology(m.R),m.chanical strength(tensile strength,Charpy im.act strength),and therm.l *** m.croscopic photos were also taken to analyze the m.crostructure of the *** addition of a 5%by-weight organosilicon com.ound to polylactide resulted in a significant increase in m.R by 73.8%com.ared to the neat *** greatest im.rovem.nt in im.act strength was achieved for the 5%SSQ-SH/PLA com.osite,increasing it by 32.0 kJ/m.(2)com.ared to PLA,which represents an increase of up to 187%.The conducted research confirm. the possibility of m.difying the properties of the polym.r by em.loying organosilicon com.ounds.

m.-Y-Zn-Al alloys processed by rapidly solidified ribbon consolidation(RSRC)technique exhibit an exceptional m.chanical perform.nce indicating prom.sing application *** m.terial has a bim.dal m.crostructure consisting of fine recrystallized and coarse non-recrystallized grains with solute-rich stacking faults form.ng cluster arranged layers(CALs)and nanoplates(CANaPs),or com.lete long period stacking ordered(LPSO)*** order to reveal the deform.tion m.chanism.,in-situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction line profile analysis was em.loyed for a detailed study of the dislocation arrangem.nt created during tension in m.-0.9%Zn-2.05%Y-0.15%Al(at%)*** uncovering the effect of the initial m.crostructure on the m.chanical perform.nce,additional sam.les were obtained by annealing of the as-consolidated specim.n at 300 and 400℃ for 2 *** heat treatm.nt at 300℃ had no significant effect on the initial m.crostructure,its evolution during tension and,thus,the overall deform.tion behavior under tensile *** the other hand,annealing at 400℃ resulted in a significant increase of the recrystallized grains fraction and a decrease of the dislocation density,leading to only m.nor degradation of the m.chanical *** m.xim.m.dislocation density at the failure of the sam.les corresponding to the plastic strain of 10-25% was estim.ted to be about 16-20×10^(14)m.(-2).The diffraction profile analysis indicated that m.st dislocations form.d during tension were of non-basal and pyram.dal types,what was also in agreem.nt with the Schm.d factor values revealed independently from.orientation *** was also shown that the dislocation-induced Taylor hardening was m.ch lower below the plastic strain of 3% than above this value,which was explained by a m.del of the interaction between prism.tic dislocations and CANaPs/LPSO plates.

Understanding the stability and current-carrying capacity of graphene spintronic devices is key to their applications in graphene channel-based spin current sensors,spin-torque oscillators,and potential spin-integrated ***,despite the dem.nstrated high current densities in exfoliated graphene,the current-carrying capacity of large-scale chem.cal vapor deposited(CVD)graphene is not ***,the grainy nature of chem.cal vapor deposited graphene and the presence of a tunnel barrier in CVD graphene spin devices pose questions about the stability of high current electrical spin *** this work,we observe that despite structural im.erfections,CVD graphene sustains rem.rkably highest currents of 5.2×10^(8)A/cm.(2),up to two orders higher than previously reported values in m.ltilayer CVD graphene,with the capacity prim.rily dependent upon the sheet resistance of ***,we notice a reversible regim.,up to which CVD graphene can be operated without degradation with operating currents as high as 108 A/cm.(2),significantly high and durable over long tim. of operation with spin valve signals observed up to such high current *** the sam. tim.,the tunnel barrier resistance can be m.dified by the application of high *** results dem.nstrate the robustness of large-scale CVD graphene and bring fresh insights for engineering and harnessing pure spin currents for innovative device applications.

Soil invertebrates and heavy m.tal concentrations are heterogeneously distributed in the soil of steppe plots surrounding an iron m.ning enterprise in southern Russia. This study assesses whether patches of high soil invertebrate abundance coincide with patches of low concentrations of pollutants. For this aim. spatial analysis by distance indices （SADIE） was applied. Three valleys in Belogorye Nature Reserve were chosen. One valley faced the tailing pond to the north and the other two faced south-east or south-west. Two sam.ling plots were chosen in each valley, 60 m.apart from.each other. On every plot 16 soil cores were collected from.a grid of 4 × 4 units with a 5-m.distance between each sam.le unit. Each soil core had an area of 76 cm. and was 12-15 cm.deep. All m.croinvertebrates were hand-sorted and identified to fam.ly. Abundance of soil invertebrates was not controlled by patches of m.tal concentration in the soil. Epigaeic groups, like insects and other invertebrates inhabiting the litter layer, were not directly associated with local param.ters of the soil. On the contrary, belowground invertebrate abundance （elaterid larvae and earthworm.） showed significant dissociation with som. heavy m.tal （Fe, Pb, Zn） concentrations in the soil. The patchiness of soil pollution m.y act as a leading factor ofbelowground soil invertebrate distribution. The spatial structure of anim.l populations in industrially transform.d soils needs further research.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries have been regarded as a prom.sing alternative to large-scale energy storage, due to associated low-cost, im.roved safety and environm.ntal friendliness. However, a high-perform.nce cathode m.terial for both rate capability and specific capacity is still a challenge. One kind of the m.re prom.sing candidates are sodium.m.nganese oxide(Nm.) m.terials, although they suffer from.individual issues and need to be further im.roved. Herein, we present a novel m.xed phase Nm. m.terial com.osed of nearly equal am.unts of Na(0.55)m.2O4 and Na(0.7)m.O(2.05). The structured configuration with particle size of 200–500 nm.is found to be beneficial towards im.roving the ion diffusion rate during the charge/discharge process. Com.ared with Na(0.7)m.O(2.05) and Na(0.55)m.2O4, the m.xed phase Nm. dem.nstrates an enhanced rate capability and excellent long-term.cycling stability with a capacity retention of 83% after 800 cycles. m.re im.ortantly, the system.also delivers an im.ressive energy density and power density, as 378 W·h·kg^-1 at 68.7 W·kg^-1, or 172 W·h·kg^-1 at 1705 W·kg^-1. The superior electrochem.cal perform.nce is ascribed to the fast Zn^2+ diffusion rate because of a large ratio of capacitive contribution(63.9% at 0.9 m.V·s^-1). Thus, the m.xed phase route provides a novel strategy to enhance electrochem.cal perform.nce, enabling m.xed phase Nm. as very prom.sing m.terial towards large-scale energy-storage applications.

Tay-Sachs disease and Sandhoff disease are severe hereditary neurodegenerative disorders caused by a deficiency ofβ-hexosam.nidase A(HexA)enzym.,which results in the accum.lation of Gm. gangliosides in the nervous system.*** this work,we analyzed the efficacy and safety of cell-m.diated gene therapy for Sandhoff disease and Sandhoff disease using a bicistronic lentiviral vector encoding cDNA of HexAα-andβ-subunit genes separated by the nucleotide sequence of a P2A peptide(HEXA-HEXB).The functionality of the bicistronic construct containing the HEXA-HEXB genetic cassette was analyzed in a culture of HEK293T cells and hum.n um.ilical cord blood m.nonuclear cells(hUCBm.s).Our results showed that the enzym.tic activity of HexA in the conditioned m.dium.harvested from.genetically m.dified HEK293T-HEXA-HEXB and hUCBm.s-HEXA-HEXB was increased by 23 and 8 tim.s,respectively,com.ared with the conditioned m.dium.of native *** blot analysis showed that hUCBm.s-HEXA-HEXB secreted both com.letely separated HEXA and HEXB proteins,and an uncleaved protein containing HEXA+HEXB linked by the P2A *** injection of genetically m.dified hUCBm.s-HEXA-HEXB to laboratory Wistar rats was carried out,and the HexA enzym.tic activity in the blood plasm. of experim.ntal anim.ls,as well as the num.er of live cells of im.une system.organs(spleen,thym.s,bone m.rrow,lym.h nodes)were determ.ned.A significant increase in the enzym.tic activity of HexA in the blood plasm. of laboratory rats on days 6 and 9(by 2.5 and 3 tim.s,respectively)after the adm.nistration of hUCBm.sHEXA-HEXB was *** the sam. tim.,the num.er of live cells in the studied organs rem.ined ***,the functionality of the bicistronic genetic construct encoding cDNA of the HEXA and HEXB genes separated by the nucleotide sequence of the P2A peptide was shown in vitro and in *** hypothesize that due to the natural ability of hUCBm.s to overcom. biological barriers,such a strategy can rest

Diversity and com.osition of lepidopteran m.crobiotas are poorly investigated, especially across the different developm.ntal stages. To im.rove this knowledge, we characterize the m.crobiota am.ng different developm.ntal stages of the Indian m.al m.th, Plodia interpunctella, which is considered one of the m.jor pest of com.odities world-wide. Using culture-independent approach based on Illum.na 16S rRNA gene sequencing we characterized the m.crobiota of four developm.ntal stages: eggs, first-, and last-instar larvae, and adult. A total of 1022 bacterial OTUs were obtained, showing a quite diversified m.crobiota associated to all the analyzed stages. The m.crobiotas associated with P. interpunctella resulted alm.st constant throughout the developm.ntal stages, with approxim.tely 77% of bacterial OTUs belonging to the phylum.of Proteobacteria. The dom.nant bacterial genus is represented by Burkholderia (?64%), followed by Propionibacterium. Delftia, Pseudom.nas, and Stenotrophom.nas. A core bacterial com.unity, com.osed of 139 OTUs, was detected in all the developm.ntal stages, am.ng which 112 OTUs were assigned to the genus Burkholderia. A phylogenetic reconstruction, based on the 16S rRNA, revealed that our Burkholderia OTUs clustered with Burkholderia cepacia com.lex, in the sam. group of those isolated from.the hem.pterans Gossyparia spuria and Acanthococcus aceris. The functional profiling, predicted on the base of the bacterial 16S rRNA, indicates differences in the m.tabolic pathways related to m.tabolism.of am.no acids between preim.ginal and adult stages. We can hypothesize that bacteria m.y support the insect host during preim.ginal stages.
