Bamboos not only provide socio-economic benefits to communities within the region,but also provide ecosystem services such as soil-water conservation,stabilization of sandy soils and restoration of soil *** ascomycetes refer to ascomycetous fungi living on any substrate of *** the largest group of fungi on bamboo,they play a significant ecological value in species composition and the structure of the fungal community,circulation of materials and energy flow of nutritional *** an effort to document the bambusicolous Ascomycota found in China,we assessed all major sources of academic literature,journal papers,and the USDA database(https://***/fungaldatabases/fungushost/***)for reports of these fungi from *** a result,we produced a systematic and comprehensive checklist of bambusicolous Ascomycota in *** names of fungi,bamboo host name,bamboo substrate,details of collected localities,references and latest classification for every bambusicolous ascomycete in China are also *** addition,we focused on the species richness of bambusicolous Ascomycota in China with an emphasis on southwest China.

Tamarix species are small trees that grow in various natural habitats and have a wide geographic *** species previously found on Tamarix and recently collected in Italy and Russia were identified based on morphological characters and analyses of gene sequence *** sexual morph of the coelomycetous genus Homortomyces was collected for the first time and is described and illustrated.A new family,Homortomycetaceae(Dothideomycetes,families incertae sedis)is introduced to accommodate *** new genera Neomicrosphaeropsis(Didymellaceae)and Tamaricicola(Pleosporaceae)are introduced in this *** tamaricicola was recollected and is placed in Neomicrosphaeropsis based on morphology and molecular *** new species,Cytospora italica,***,Diaporthe ravennica,Eutypella tamaricis,Neomicrosphaeropsis italica,***,***,Keissleriella tamaricicola,Paracamarosporium tamaricis and Tamaricicola muriformis are introduced,while Alternaria tenuissima,Dothiorella sarmentorum,Neofusicoccum luteum,Paraepicoccum amazonense,Pleospora herbarum and Pseudocamarosporium propinquum are reported for the first time on Tamarix *** descriptions and ***-gene analyses show that Paraepicoccum amazonense should be placed in Pleosporineae,Pleosporales,where it is closely related to Camarosporium sensu *** herbarium specimens were studied to illustrate other fungal species recorded on Tamarix species.A comprehensive account of microfungi on Tamarix is provided,which includes a list with data from the literature,as well as those identified in the present *** taxonomic placement of most taxa discussed in this study is based on a modern taxonomic framework based on analysis of multi-gene sequence data.

Astrosphaeriella sensu lato is a common genus occurring on bamboo,palms and stout *** of Astrosphaeriella have been collected from various countries in tropical,subtropical or temperate *** Asia,species have been collected in Brunei,China,Indonesia,japan,Philippines and *** have been several morphological studies on Astrosphaeriella,but molecular work and phylogenetic analyses are generally *** included in Astrosphaeriella were characterized in three main groups 1)typical Astrosphaeriella species(sensu stricto)having carbonaceous,erumpent,conical ascostromata 2)atypical Astrosphaeriella species(sensu lato)having immersed,coriaceous ascostromata with short to long papilla and 3)lophiostoma-like species having immersed ascostromata with slit-like *** of the latter Astrosphaeriella species,having slit-like openings,have been transferred to Fissuroma and Rimora in *** this study five type specimens of Astrosphaeriella were loaned from herbaria worldwide and re-examined and are re-described and *** of Astrosphaeriella were also made in Thailand and morphologically *** cultures were obtained from single spores and used in molecular *** asexual morph was induced on sterile bamboo pieces placed on water *** analyses of combined LSU,SSU and TEF1 sequence data of astrosphaeriella-like species using Bayesian,Maximum parsimony(MP)and Randomized Accelerated Maximum Likelihood(RAxML)analyses were carried *** analyses show that species of Astrosphaeriella can be distinguished in at least three *** of Astrosphaeriella sensu stricto with erumpent,carbonaceous ascostromata,form a strongly supported clade with Pteridiospora species and a new family,Astrosphaeriellaceae,is introduced to accommodate these *** genera are revised and Astrosphaeriella bambusae,***,***,***,*** and Pteridiospora chiangraiensis

Dictyosporiaceae *** introduced to accommodate a holomorphic group of Dothideomycetes that are saprobes on decaying wood and plant debris in terrestrial and freshwater *** sexual morph comprises Dictyosporium meiosporum,***,Gregarithecium curvisporum,Pseudocoleophoma calamagrostidis and *** sexual morphs are characterized by immersed to erumpent,superficial,globose to subglobose,dark brown to black ascomata,bitunicate asci,and septate,hyaline,sheathed *** asexual morphs are hyphomycetous with brown,multi-septate,cheirosporous conidia,produced from holoblastic conidiogenous cells,on micronematous *** analyses of LSU,SSU and TEF1 sequence data place the genera with cheirospores in a monophyletic clade in the order *** analyses based on ITS sequence data show the family to comprise 44 distinct lineages that correspond to ten genera and an undetermined *** new genera Dictyocheirospora,Dictyopalmispora,jalapriya and Vikalpa,and eight new species Dictyocheirospora bannica,***,***,Dictyopalmispora palmae,Dictyosporium olivaceosporum,***,jalapriya pulchra,and Vikalpa lignicola,are introduced in the family.

Error field penetration in j-TEXT tokamak based on two-fluid drift-MHD model

An externally generated resonant magnetic perturbation can induce complex non-ideal MHD responses in their resonant *** have studied the plasma responses using Fitzpatrick's improved two-fluid model and program *** calculated the error field penetration threshold for *** addition,we find that the island width increases slightly as the error field amplitude increases when the error field amplitude is below the critical penetration ***,the island width suddenly jumps to a large value because the shielding effect of the plasma against the error field disappears after the *** scanning the natural mode frequency,we find that the shielding effect of the plasma decreases as the natural mode frequency ***,we obtain the m/n=2/1 penetration threshold scaling on density and temperature.

This paper is a compilation of notes on 110 fungal taxa,including one new family,10 new genera,and 76 new species,representing a wide taxonomic and geographic *** new family,Paradictyoarthriniaceae is introduced based on its distinct lineage in Dothideomycetes and its unique *** family is sister to Biatriosporaceae and *** new genera are Allophaeosphaeria(Phaeosphaeriaceae),Amphibambusa(Amphisphaeriaceae),Brunneomycosphaerella(Capnodiales genera incertae cedis),Chaetocapnodium(Capnodiaceae),Flammeascoma(Anteagloniaceae),Multiseptospora(Pleosporales genera incertae cedis),Neogaeumannomyces(Magnaporthaceae),Palmiascoma(Bambusicolaceae),Paralecia(Squamarinaceae)and Sarimanas(Melanommataceae).The newly described species are the Ascomycota Aliquandostipite manochii,Allophaeosphaeria dactylidis,***,Alternaria cesenica,Amphibambusa bambusicola,Amphisphaeria sorbi,Annulohypoxylon thailandicum,Atrotorquata spartii,Brunneomycosphaerella laburni,Byssosphaeria musae,Camarosporium aborescentis,***,***,Chaetocapnodium siamensis,Chaetothyrium agathis,Colletotrichum sedi,Conicomyces pseudotransvaalensis,Cytospora berberidis,***,Diaporthe thunbergiicola,Diatrype palmicola,Dictyosporium aquaticum,***,***,Didymella cirsii,Dinemasporium nelloi,Flammeascoma bambusae,Kalmusia italica,***,Keissleriella sparticola,Lauriomyces synnematicus,Leptosphaeria ebuli,Lophiostoma pseudodictyosporium,***,Lophiotrema eburnoides,Montagnula graminicola,Multiseptospora thailandica,Myrothecium macrosporum,Natantispora unipolaris,Neogaeumannomyces bambusicola,Neosetophoma clematidis,***,Oxydothis atypica,Palmiascoma gregariascomum,Paraconiothyrium nelloi,***,Paradictyoarthrinium tectonicola,Paralecia pratorum,Paraphaeosphaeria spartii,Pestalotiopsis digitalis,***,***,Phaeoisaria pseudoclematidis,Phragmocapnias philippinensis,Pseudocamarosporium cotinae,Pseudocercospora tam

Storing Freshwater Versus Storing Electricity in Power Systems with High Freshwater Electric Demand

We consider a power system whose electric demand pertaining to freshwater production is high(high freshwater electric demand),as in the Middle East,and investigate the tradeoff of storing freshwater in tanks versus storing electricity in batteries at the day-ahead operation *** storing freshwater and storing electricity increase the actual electric demand at valley hours and decrease it at peak hours,which is generally beneficial in term of cost and ***,to what extent?We analyze this question considering three power systems with different generation-mix configurations,i.e.,a thermal-dominated mix,a renewable-dominated one,and a fully renewable *** generation-mix configurations are inspired by how power systems may evolve in different countries in the Middle *** production uncertainty is compactly modeled using chance *** draw conclusions on how both storage facilities(freshwater and electricity)complement each other to render an optimal operation of the power system.

The defining feature of a mass extinction and its associated recovery is the global amount of extinction that occurred[1]. However, there is finer-scale detail to the story, as seen in the ongoing modern mass extinction(the sixth mass extinction), which exhibits variable effects among marine ecosystems and environments, and hence geographic areas [1].
