Butterfly taxonomic and functional diversity in the urban green spaces of Hefei city

Urbanization has profound impacts on ecological *** spaces are a vital component of urban ecosystems and play a crucial role in maintaining ecologi-cal balance and enhancing *** study aimed to investigate the community composition characteristics of butterflies in urban green spaces within the context of rapid ***,it explored the status and dif-ferences in butterfly taxonomic diversity,functional diver-sity,and functional traits among different types of urban green spaces,regions,and urban gradients to provide rel-evant insights for further improving urban green space qual-ity and promoting biodiversity *** conducted a year-long survey of 80 green spaces across different urban Project funding:This work was funded by the national non Profit Research Institutions of the Chinese Academy of Forestry(CAFYBB2020ZB008),national natural Science Foundation of China(32371936),and the Research Projects in Anhui universities in 2022(n atural sciences)(2022AH051874).regions and ring roads within Hefei City,Anhui Province,with monthly sampling intervals over 187 transects.A total of 4822 butterflies,belonging to 5 families,17 subfamilies,40 genera,and 55 species were *** species rich-ness,Shannon,Simpson,functional richness,and Rao’s quadratic entropy indices of butterflies in urban park green spaces were all significantly higher than those in residential and street green spaces(Pnces in butterfly diversity and functional traits among different urban regions and ring roads were relatively minor,and small-sized,multi-voltine,and long flying duration butterflies dominated urban green ***,these spaces offer more favorable hab-itats for ***,some residential green spaces and street green spaces demonstrate potential for butterfly conservation.

Background:Prolonged sitting and reduced physical activity lead to low energy ***,little is known about the joint impact of daily sitting time and physical activity on body fat *** investigated the independent and joint associations of daily sitting time and physical activity with body fat among ***:This was a cross-sectional analysis of *** representative data from the national Health and nutrition Examination Survey2011-2018 among adults aged 20 years or *** sitting time and leisure-time physical activity(LTPA)were self-reported using the global Physical Activity *** fat(total and trunk fat percentage)was determined via dual X-ray ***:Among 10,808 adults,about 54.6%spent 6 h/day or more sitting;more than one-half reported no LTPA(inactive)or less than 150 min/week LTPA(insufficiently active)with only 43.3%reported 150 min/week or more LTPA(active)in the past *** fully adjusting for sociodemographic data,lifestyle behaviors,and chronic conditions,prolonged sitting time and low levels of LTPA were associated with higher total and trunk fat percentages in both *** stratifying by LTPA,the association between daily sitting time and body fat appeared to be stronger in those who were inactive/insuufficiently *** the joint analyses,inactive/insuufficiently active adults who reported sitting more than 8 h/day had the highest total(female:3.99%(95%confidence interval(95%CI):3.09%-4.88%);male:3.79%(95%CI:2.75%-4.82%))and trunk body fat percentages(female:4.21%(95%CI:3.09%-5.32%);male:4.07%(95%CI:2.95%-5.19%))when compared with those who were active and sitting less than 4 h/***:Prolonged daily sitting time was associated with increased body fat among *** higher body fat associated with 6 h/day sitting may not be offset by achieving recommended levels of physical activity.

Association between glucose levels of children with type 1 diabetes and parental economic status in mobile health application

BACKgROUnD The glycemic control of children with type 1 diabetes(T1D)may be influenced by the economic status of their *** To investigate the association between parental economic status and blood glucose levels of children with T1D using a mobile health *** Data from children with T1D in China's largest T1D online community,Tang-TangQuan■.Blood glucose levels were uploaded every three months and parental economic status was evaluated based on annual household *** were divided into three groups:Low-income(n),middle-income(30000-100000 Yuan),and high-income(>100000 yuan)(1 Yuan=0.145 United States Dollar approximately).Blood glucose levels were compared among the groups and associations were explored using Spearman’s correlation analysis and multivariable logistic *** From September 2015 to August 2022,1406 eligible children with T1D were included(779 female,55.4%).median age was 8.1 years(Q1-Q3:4.6-11.6)and duration of T1D was 0.06 years(0.02-0.44).Participants were divided into three groups:Low-income(n=320),middle-income(n=724),and high-income(n=362).Baseline hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)levels were comparable among the three groups(P=0.072).However,at month 36,the low-income group had the highest HbA1c levels(P=0.036).Within three years after registration,glucose levels increased significantly in the low-income group but not in the middle-income and high-income *** economic status was negatively correlated with pre-dinner glucose(r=-0.272,P=0.012).After adjustment for confounders,parental economic status remained a significant factor related to pre-dinner glucose levels(odds ratio=13.02,95%CI:1.99 to 126.05,P=0.002).COnCLUSIOn The blood glucose levels of children with T1D were negatively associated with parental economic *** is suggested that parental economic status should be taken into consideration in the management of T1D for children.

With 1 185 pi eces of questionnaire, it is found that in China, people take fresh air, odor, e tc., as well as indoor air temperature, humidity, as the most important indoor a ir parameters. It is also found that there is a significant sensitivity differen ce in indoor environment between southerners and northerners in China. People fr om different regions have different demands for their working and living environ ment. Therefore, as a good design of air conditioning system, it is strongly rec ommended that the different demands of people from different regions should be t aken into consideration.

Relationships among magnetic resonance imaging, histological findings, and IgF-I in steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head in rabbits

Objective: To study the relationships among magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), histological findings, and insu- lin-like growth factor-I (IgF-I) in steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head in rabbits. methods: Thirty rabbits were randomly divided into experimental group A (n=15) and control group B (n=15). The 7.5 mg/kg (2 ml) of dexamethasone (DEX) and physiological saline (2 ml) were injected into the right gluteus medius muscle twice at one-week intervals in animals of groups A and B, respectively. At 4, 8 and 16 weeks after obtaining an MRI, the rabbits were sacrificed and the femoral head from one side was removed for histological study of lacunae empty of osteocytes, subchondral vessels, and size of fat cells under microscopy, and the femoral head from the other side was removed for enzyme-linked immunoadsorbent assay (ELISA) for IgF-I. Results: At 4, 8 and 16 weeks after treatment, no necrotic lesions were detected in group B, while they were detected in group A. Light microscopy revealed that the fat cells of the marrow cavity were enlarged, subchondral vessels were evidently decreased, and empty bone lacunae were clearly increased. The IgF-I levels in group A were significantly higher than those in group B. At 8 weeks after the DEX injection, the MRI of all 20 femora showed an inhomogeneous, low signal intensity area in the femoral head, and at 16 weeks, the findings of all 10 femora showed a specific "line-like sign". The MRI findings of all femora in group B were normal. Conclusion: MRI is a highly sensitive means of diagnosing early experimental osteonecrosis of the femoral head. However, the abnormal marrow tissues appeared later than 4 weeks when the expression of IgF-I increased. This reparative factor has an early and important role in response to steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head, and provides a theoretical foundation for understanding the pathology and designing new therapies.

目的探索Cobb+1至Cobb融合策略在腰弯低顶椎的Lenke5C型青少年特发性脊柱侧凸(AIS)患儿中的适应证及其手术疗效。方法回顾性分析2015年8月至2018年12月于南京大学医学院附属鼓楼医院治疗的Lenke 5C型AIS患儿的临床资料,患儿术后至少随访2年,采用选择性Cobb+1至Cobb融合策略治疗。所有患儿被分为腰弯正常顶椎组(主弯顶椎位置在T_(12)和L_(1)之间)和低顶椎组(主弯顶椎位置低于L_(1)/L_(2)椎间盘),比较两组患儿近端失代偿发生情况。此外,根据末次随访时患儿是否出现了近端失代偿,将低顶椎组的患者进一步分为近端失代偿组与无失代偿组。比较两组患儿相关影像学参数及术后生活质量等。结果共52例患儿(正常顶椎组19例,低顶椎组33例),年龄(15.3±1.6)岁,术后随访2~5(3.2±1.2)年。在随访期间,正常顶椎组有6例(6/19)和低顶椎组有5例(15.2%)患儿出现近端失代偿,正常顶椎组的发生率更高(P=0.034)。在低顶椎组中,发生近端失代偿患儿(n=5)表现出与未出现近端失代偿患儿(n=28)相似的Risser分级、术前胸弯Cobb角和主弯Cobb角,差异均无统计学意义(均P>0.05)。然而,在近端失代偿患者中,术前胸椎/腰椎顶椎偏移(AVT)比值较无失代偿组大(0.6±0.2比0.4±0.2,P=0.042),但术后上固定椎(UIV)的倾斜角相似(4.5°±2.3°比6.2°±3.4°,P=0.312)。结论对于顶椎位置在L_(1)~2椎间盘以下,且术前无胸椎代偿弯的Lenke 5C型AIS患者推荐使用Cobb+1至Cobb的融合策略。
