Vietnam’s economy has been developing strongly in recent years;however, it is necessary to examine the impact of its economic activities on environmental quality. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between CO2 emissions and economic growth, industrial production, and foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam. The ARDL estimation was used to process the dataset from World Bank. Results showed that economic growth, industrial production, and FDI have an impact on CO2 emissions in the long run in Vietnam. Granger Causality test also indicated that there is a causal relationship between economic growth, industrial production, and CO2 emissions in Vietnam from 1990 to 2018, at 5% statistical significance level. Proposed solutions to reduce CO2 emissions but still promote economic growth toward the green growth orientation and zero carbon target attainment are as follows: 1) reduce the use of fossil energy in industrial manufacturing and replace it by renewable energy sources;2) use modern technology for all production sectors in economy;and 3) develop a legal framework for FDI projects selection and choose foreign investors with modern and low carbon emission technology.

By taking the advantages of remote sensing technology, changes of land cover in Ca Mau Peninsular (the Southern part of the Mekong delta) and erosion of riverbank of the Mekong River have been defined. Change detection using time-series optical and radar satellite images (Landsat, SPOT and Radarsat) is the main approach in this study. Typical land cover in Ca Mau Peninsular is mangrove; its changes are observable by analysing imageries from 1973 to 2008. The results showed that more than half of the mangrove area was converted into shrimp farms. This made forest cover severely declined. Riverbank of the Mekong River also was detected to be eroded and accreted in a complicated form. Locations along the left and right banks of Tien and Hau river are defined as hot spots that are seriously suffered erosions. Topographic maps in 1966-1968 were taken into account as base line data, which was analyzed along with satellite images from 1989 to 2009. In addition, the Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) package was taken to analyze trend of changes in terms of changing prediction.

Recently,there has been considerable interest in high-efficiency ultraviolet(UV)photodetectors for their potential practical *** this study,a high-quality UV photodetector was fabricated using a combination of Ag and Au NPs with GaN *** GaN film was deposited using sputtering technique,whereas Ag and Au films were grown using thermal evaporation ***-Au bimetallic nanoparticles were formed by treating them at the various annealing temperature to improve the interaction between light and the photoactive layers of the *** optimal annealing temperature to achieve the best performance of a photodetector is 650℃.This led to a photoresponsivity of 98.5 A/W and the ON/OFF ratio of 705 at low bias voltage of 1 *** work establishes the foundation for the advancement of high-performance UV photodetectors.
