Case-based surveillance measles data was defined according to World Health Organization （WHO） guidelines. A total of 511 measles cases were studied from 2011 to 2015 in Southern Darfur State, Sudan and 58.1% of cases were confirmed from Nyala city. About 43.4% of cases were males, 56.6% of cases were female, and 47.7% were children under five years old. Similarity, within February to June, the cases increased by 8.0% in children vaccinated through measles campaign, and 5.3% in children that used child vaccination card and 78.7% in unvaccinated one.

Trajectory Control: Directional MWD Inversely New Wellbore Positioning Accuracy Prediction Method

The deviation control of directional drilling is essentially the controlling of two angles of the wellbore actually drilled, namely, the inclination and azimuth. In directional drilling the bit trajectory never coincides exactly with the planned path, which is usually a plane curve with straight, building, holding, and dropping sections in succession. The drilling direction is of course dependant on the direction of the resultant forces acting on the bit and it is quite a tough job to hit the optimum target at the hole bottom as required. The traditional passive methods for correcting the drilling path have not met the demand to improve the techniques of deviation control. A method for combining wellbore surveys to obtain a composite, more accurate well position relies on accepting the position of the well from the most accurate survey instrument used in a given section of the wellbore. The error in each position measurement is the sum of many independent root sources of error effects. The relationship between surveys and other influential factors is considered, along with an analysis of different points of view. The collaborative work describes, establishes a common starting point of wellbore position uncertainty model, definition of what constitutes an error model, mathematics of position uncertainty calculation and an error model for basic directional service.

Bio based nitrogen doped carbon dots(N-CDs)were obtained from empty fruit bunch carboxymethylcellulose and ethylenediamine(EDA)through one-pot hydrothermal carbonization *** optimum as-formed NCDs were thoroughly characterized via Transmission electron microscopy(TEM),high-resolution TEM(HRTEM),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR),X-ray photoelectron spectra(XPS),UV–vis spectra(UV–Vis)and Fluorescence spectra(PL).Response surface methodology was statistically used to assess three independent variables that have major influence on the fluorescence quantum yield(QY),including temperature(230–270℃),time(2–6 h)and EDA mass(10%–23.3%).Based on analysis of variance(ANOVA)results,synthesis temperature was found to be the most influential factor on the QY,followed by time and EDA *** temperature,long synthesis time and high amount of EDA were satisfactorily enough for efficient carbonization conversion rate and obtaining highest QY of *** obtained quadratic model(R^2=0.9991)shows a good correlation between the experimental data and predicted *** optimum synthetic parameters are of 270℃temperature,6 h reaction time and 23.3%of EDA *** optimized as-made N-CDs exhibited blue photoluminescence with both excitation dependent/independent phenomena and high nitrogen *** maximum emission intensity was 426 nm at a maximum excitation wavelength of 320 nm,with a QY of up to 22.9%.XPS and FTIR data confirmed the existence of polar containing groups,such as carbonyl,carboxyl,hydroxyl and amino groups over the surface of N-CDs whereas nitrogen species in the form of(pyridinic and graphitic-N)were introduced in the aromatic carbon domains,which imparts the hydrophilic and photostability of *** into account the low-cost and sustainable production of N-CDs,this method considered a feasible route for converting low quality waste into value-added nanomaterials and utilizing for different functionalization processes and analytical applications.

基于非饱和土等向压缩试验和Logistic函数,提出了一种土体等向固结曲线的模型。首先,对目前土体体变方程中常用的单对数和双对数线性模型的不足进行了分析;然后,借助Logistic函数,建立了各向等压条件下的土体孔隙比和压力模型,并给出了模型中各参数的确定方法以及前期固结压力的解析表达;最后,通过与已有试验数据进行对比,验证了该模型的有效性,分析了各参数随非饱和土中吸力的变化规律。

Effect of lyophilized aqueous leaf extract of Aquilaria subintegra on aphrodisiacproperties in mice

Objective: To investigate the effects of Aquilaria subintegra leaf aqueous extracts on the aphrodisiac properties including sexual behaviour, testosterone level, percentage of pregnancy, number of offspring and male to female ratio of offspring in ICR mice. Methods: In this experiment, each male cohabitated with one female in a polysulfone cage. 30 ICR male mice were divided into 6 groups that received normal saline (the control group), 50 mg/kg, 100 mg/kg, 200 mg/kg, 500 mg/kg, and 1000 mg/kg body weight of Aquilaria subintegra leaf aqueous extracts orally for 21 days consecutively. Sexual behavior, percentage of pregnancy, number of offspring and male to female ratio of offspring in ICR mice were measured according to the established methods. Testosterone level was measured by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: Mice that received Aquilaria subintegra leaf aqueous extracts at 50 mg/kg body weight (day 0) had significantly higher mount frequency as compared to the control group;groups treated with 100, 500, 1000 mg/kg body weight extracts produced a greater number of offsprings when compared to the control group. All aphrodisiac parameters were similar between the treatment groups and the control group, indicating that Aquilaria subintegra leaf aqueous extract did not significantly alter the aphrodisiac parameters. Conclusions: Aquilaria subintegra leaf aqueous extracts have no effect on the aphrodisiac properties, but could increase the breeding rate in mice.

An Appraisal of Spatial Distribution of Solid Waste Disposal Sites in Kano Metropolis, Nigeria

This paper describes a research project that has been conducted as part of the Kano Municipal waste management strategy. The aim is to quantify and to identify the existing locations of waste disposal sites by mapping their spatial distribution within the metropolitan Kano. QUICKBIRD satellite imageries;locations of existing waste disposal sites collected using Global Positioning System (GPS);and topographical map (1:5000 scale) of Kano metropolis were used to generate data for the study. The data were prepared and analysed using ArcMap 10.2.1 and Erdas Imagine 11 software to produce the spatial distribution maps for solid waste disposal sites within the metropolis. The result shows that out of the 300 existing waste disposal sites assessed, the city has fairly well-distributed waste disposal sites. Conversely, the disposal sites are more clustered in the centre of the metropolis than the outskirts. However, about 80 percent of the sites are either located very close to roads, settlements or water bodies. Also, while about 92 percent of the existing waste disposal locations are open space, only about 7 percent are containers (closed dumping sites). Correspondingly, about 89 percent are authorised dumping sites and only about 11 percent are unauthorised illegal. The study recommends that policymakers should intervene and relocate the existing unauthorized dump sites to more suitable areas.

Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is a breakthrough technologyin the transfer of medical data via a communication system. Wearable sensordevices collect patient data and transfer them through mobile internet, thatis, the IoMT. Recently, the shift in paradigm from manual data storage toelectronic health recording on fog, edge, and cloud computing has been *** advanced computing technologies have facilitated medical services withminimum cost and available conditions. However, the IoMT raises a highconcern on network security and patient data privacy in the health caresystem. The main issue is the transmission of health data with high security inthe fog computing model. In today’s market, the best solution is blockchaintechnology. This technology provides high-end security and authenticationin storing and transferring data. In this research, a blockchain-based fogcomputing model is proposed for the IoMT. The proposed technique embedsa block chain with the yet another consensus (YAC) protocol building securityinfrastructure into fog computing for storing and transferring IoMT data inthe network. YAC is a consensus protocol that authenticates the input datain the block chain. In this scenario, the patients and their family membersare allowed to access the data. The empirical outcome of the proposedtechnique indicates high reliability and security against dangerous *** major advantages of using the blockchain model are high transparency,good traceability, and high processing speed. The technique also exhibitshigh reliability and efficiency in accessing data with secure transmission. Theproposed technique achieves 95% reliability in transferring a large number offiles up to 10,000.
