Car manufacturers aim to enhance the use of two-factor authentication (2FA) to protect keyless entry systems in contemporary cars. Despite providing significant ease for users, keyless entry systems have become more susceptible to appealing attacks like relay attacks and critical fob hacking. These weaknesses present considerable security threats, resulting in unauthorized entry and car theft. The suggested approach combines a conventional keyless entry feature with an extra security measure. Implementing multi-factor authentication significantly improves the security of systems that allow keyless entry by reducing the likelihood of unauthorized access. Research shows that the benefits of using two-factor authentication, such as a substantial increase in security, far outweigh any minor drawbacks.

Mesenchymal stromal cells(MSCs) possess great therapeutic advantages due to their ability to produce a diverse array of trophic/growth factors related to cytoprotection and *** activation via specific receptors is a crucial event for these cells to exert their immunosuppressive *** aryl-hydrocarbon receptor(Ah R) is a sensitive molecule for external signals and it is expressed in MSCs and,upon positive activation,may potentially regulate the MSC-associated immunomodulatory ***,signalling pathways linked to Ah R activation can elucidate some of the molecular cascades involved in MSC-mediated *** this minireview,we have noted some important findings concerning MSC regulation via Ah R,highlighting that its activation is associated with improvement in migration and immunoregulation,as well as an increase in pro-regenerative ***,Ah R-mediated MSC activation can contribute to new perspectives on MSC-based therapies,particularly those directed at immune-associated disorders.

In this work,nine different types of edible coating based on pectin,cellulose nanocrystals,glycerol,and essential oil of lemongrass were prepared and used to coat strawberries with a film formed directly on the surface of the coated *** effects of the different edible coatings on refrigerated fruits in terms of weight loss,titratable acidity,total soluble solids,pH,and anthocyanin content was evaluated after 2 days,4 days,6 days,and 8 days of *** of the edible coatings reduced the weight loss of the coated strawberries and the anthocyanin *** total soluble solids content of or uncoated fruit increase more markedly than that of coated *** contrast,pH was maintained for both coated and uncoated *** edible coatings were effective in minimizing of the weight loss,without worsening the physical chemistry *** treatments T5 and T9 presented the best results.

The extraction of the trivalent middle rare earths from chloride media by kerosene solutions of 2-ethylhexylphosphonic acid mono-2-ethylhexyl ester as an extractant was studied. The separation factors between the elements using solution simulating wastes from NiMH spent batteries have been evaluated: the order of the extractive ability of extractant can be confirmed in Tb>Gd>Eu>Sm.

Blockchain is a technology that creates trust among non-trusting parties without relying on any ***,it has attracted the interest of companies operating in a multitude of ***,due to the number of different blockchain solutions that have emerged in the last few years and their rapid changes,it is challenging for such companies to orient their technological *** paper presents a comparative analysis of the key dimensions—namely,governance,maturity,support,latency,privacy,interoperability,flexibility,efficiency,resiliency,and scalability—of some of the most-used permissioned blockchain ***,we present the results of a performance evaluation considering the following frameworks:Hyperledger Fabric 2.2,Hyperledger Sawtooth 1.2,and ConsenSys Quorum 21.1(with both the GoQuorum client and the Hyperledger Besu client).The platforms were tested under similar conditions,and official releases were used,such that our findings provide a reference for companies establishing their technological orientation.

Aerodynamic optimization of an adaptive flap for next-generation green aircraft

Adaptive,morphing flaps are taking ever-increasing attention in civil aviation thanks to the expected benefits this technology can bring at the aircraft level in terms of high-lift performance improvement and related fuel burnt reduction per *** upon morphing capabilities,it is possible to fix a unique setting for the flap and adapt the flap shape to match the aerodynamic requirements for take-off or *** proper morphed shapes can assure better high-lift performances than those achievable by referring to a conventional ***,standing the unique flap setting for take-off and landing,a dramatic simplification of the flap deployment systems may be *** a consequence of this simplification,the deployment system can be fully hosted in the wing,thus avoiding under-wing nacelles with significantly better aerodynamics and fuel *** first step for a rational design of an adaptive flap consists in defining the target morphed shapes and the unique optimal flap setting in the take-off and landing *** this work,aerodynamic optimization analyses are carried out to determine the best flap setting and related morphed shapes in compliance with the take-off and landing requirements of a reference civil transport *** different initial conditions are adopted to avoid the optimization falling into local optima,thus obtaining four groups of optimal candidate *** comparing each candidate’s performance through 2D and 3D simulations,the optimal configuration has been selected.2D simulations show that the optimal configuration is characterized by a maximum lift increase of 31.92%in take-off and 9.04%in *** to 3D simulations,the rise in maximum lift equals 22.26%in take-off and 3.50%in *** results are finally verified through wind tunnel tests,and the aerodynamic mechanism behind the obtained improvements is explained by carefully analyzing the flow field around the flap.

Saffron, obtained from the flower stigmas of Crocus sativus L., is one of the most expensive food spices. The introduction of saffron in alpine areas could help to broaden and diversify the activities of mountain multifunctional farms, with a positive impact on economy and land management. According to ISO 3632(2010/2011), saffron can be classified into three categories of quality(I, II, III) depending on the concentration of the three main metabolites responsible for its characteristic colour, flavor and aroma: Crocin, Picrocrocin and Safranal. This study represents the first investigation of the quality of saffron produced in the Italian Alps evaluated with spectrophotometry, HPLC, solid-phase microextraction(SPME), and gas chromatographic analysis combined with mass spectrometry(GC/MS). The experiments used Crocus sativus stigmas produced in 2012-2013 in different areas of the Central Italian Alps were located at an altitude between 720 and 1200 m a.s.l.. Results obtained were compared to commercial saffron. The analyses confirmed that all samples can be classified in the first quality category according to the ISO classification. This high quality is also confirmed by HPLC analysis. Moreover, the SPME-GC/MS analysis identified some differences in the aromatic profile of saffron samples, in particular regarding safranal concentration. A preliminary assessment of the economic viability of high quality saffron production for local markets was also performed. Our study provides valid information regarding the quality and economic sustainability of saffron production in the alpine area confirming this crop as a good candidate for a new source of income for multifunctional farms in mountain areas.
