Several simultaneous observations are presented of Syzygy effects during two solar eclipses, performed with torsinds and Foucault pendulums. The experiments/measurements were of a simple nature, conducted in several of places in Romania and Ukraine. It is shown that during Syzygy effects both the torsind and the Foucault pendulum exhibit specific reactions: the torsind’s disk is rotated, whereas the direction of the swing plane, the period, the eccentricity and the chirality of the ellipse of oscillation of the Foucault pendulum are all altered. We term all these perturbations “Syzygy effects” and found that they take place even when the devices are in locations where the eclipse is not visible and even when they are underground. An unusual time shifts?between the responses of the devices and the maximum phase of the eclipse is detected. The importance of simultaneous simple observations of astronomical phenomena using these two devices of fundamentally different types is emphasized.

Compensatory/adaptive mechanisms in the brain are hy- pothesized to be involved in its protection from the Alz- heimer＇s disease （AD） progression. These mechanisms are activated by malfunctioning of various brain systems： anti- oxidant, neurotrophic, neurotransmitter, immune, and oth- ers. Detailed analysis of compensatory^adaptive capabilities of these systems might be a start point for further discovery and development of perspective approaches for early diag- nostics and treatment of AD and associated neurodegenera- tive disorders.

An imbalance between activities of different structures and neurotransmitter systems in the brain is suggested to be the main cause of its abnormal functioning in neurodegenerative ***（EEG）registered from areas specifically linked with a disease in combination with pharmacological testing of involved mediatory systems allows discovery of its progression and mechanism（s）. This, in turn, potentiates development of perspective approaches for early diagnostic and effective treatment of neurodegenerative disorders.

Identification of individuals at risk for developing Alzheimers disease (AD) is an important issue for its pretreatment. Perspective studies predicting the disease are based on the genetic approaches emerging from the nucleotide polymorphism analysis in different loci through the entire genome in AD patients. Considerable diversity of genes located in these regions raise the question of this diversity's peculiar role in the disease development. The mechanisms of AD have been shown to be associated with the gene variation, increased beta-amyloid production and concomitant epileptiform activity/epilepsy in particular (Palop and Mucke, 2009).

Aging is well known to be the main risk factor for the neurodegenerative pathologies,in particular,Parkinson’s disease（PD）and Alzheimer’s disease（AD）.In aging and in the diseases,similar changes in various hallmarks of neurodegeneration（lipofuscin accumulation,autophagia weakening,and disturbances in functions of mitochondriaand lysosomes） were shown （Tan et al., 2014）. Furthermore, dopami- nergic system （DAS） involvement in mechanisms of aging, PD, and AD were revealed （Martorana and Koch, 2014）.

Human bone allografts present a better alternative to autografts in terms of minimization of the harvesting procedure *** to the use in clinical applications,they require sterilization which aims to reduce *** often comes at the expense of their biological properties as carriers of *** this study,we evaluated the cytocompatibility of human bone allografts processed and sterilized by three different methods withmesenchymal stromal *** morphology,biological and biochemical properties of the extracted bone-conditionedmedium and viability of cells were *** found that chemical sterilization had a strong negative effect on cell viability,whereas thermal sterilization and washing with subsequentγ-irradiation both resulted in a bone graft compatible with the progenitor ***,washing of the bone prior to sterilization allowed solid removal of cell debris and other bone marrow *** together,our findings demonstrate the importance of a proper choice of the bone graft processing method for the production of the biomaterial suitable for tissue engineering.

Influence of the Channel Design on the Heat Exchange Characteristics of Pulsating Flows in the Supply System of an Engine

Heat engines based on reciprocating machines remain in demand as energy converters in a variety of industries around the *** aim of the study was to evaluate the gas-dynamic,consumable and heat exchange characteristics of non-stationary air flows in a supply system with transverse profiling of valve channels based on experimental *** channels with cross sections in the form of a circle,square and triangle were used to control the consumable and heat exchange characteristics of the flows in the supply system of the reciprocatingengine *** article presents data on changes in local velocity,volumetric airflow and instantaneous heat transfer coefficient of non-stationary airflow in supply systems with different valve channel designs.A spectral analysis of the pulsations of the local heat transfer coefficient was also *** Nusselt number was calculated for the studied supply *** figured valve channels lead to an increase in the volumetric airflow through the supply systemupto32%comparedwiththe basic *** useof a square valve channel leads to suppression of heat transfer(drop is about 15%)compared to the basic supply system,and the use of a triangular valve channel causes an intensification of heat transfer(growth is about 17.5%).The obtained data can be useful for refining mathematical models,adjusting machine learning algorithms,and improving design methods for supply systems of reciprocating machines to improve their technical,economic,and environmental characteristics.

Various inflammatory stimuli are able to modify or even"re-program"the mitochondrial metabolism that results in generation of reactive oxygen *** noncommunicable chronic diseases such as atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular pathologies,type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome,these modifications become systemic and are characterized by chronic inflammation and,in particular,"neuroinflammation"in the central nervous *** processes associated with chronic inflammation are frequently grouped into"vicious circles"which are able to stimulate each other constantly amplifying the pathological *** circles are evidently observed in Alzheimer's disease,atherosclerosis,type 2 diabetes,metabolic syndrome and,possibly,other associated ***,chronic inflammation in peripheral tissues is frequently concomitant to Alzheimer's *** is supposedly associated with some common genetic polymorphisms,for example,Apolipoprotein-Eε4 allele carriers with Alzheimer's disease can also develop ***,in the transgenic mice expressing the recombinant mitochondria targeted catalase,that removes hydrogen peroxide from mitochondria,demonstrates the significant pathology amelioration and health *** addition,the beneficial effects of some natural products from the xanthophyll family,astaxanthin and fucoxanthin,which are able to target the reactive oxygen species at cellular or mitochondrial membranes,have been demonstrated in both animal and human *** propose that the normalization of mitochondrial functions could play a key role in the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders and other noncommunicable diseases associated with chronic inflammation in ***,some prospective drugs based on mitochondria targeted catalase or xanthophylls could be used as an effective treatment of these pathologies,especially at early stages of their development.

The Permian family Camptoneuritidae （Insecta： Grylloblattida） is reviewed. New synonymies are proposed： Camptoneuritidae Martynov, 1930 = Demopteridae Carpenter, 1950, syn. nov., = Jabloniidae Kukalova, 1964, syn. nov. Key to genera of Camptoneuritidae is given. All genera are redescribed and illustrated. Camptoneurites soyanensis sp. nov. from Soyana locality （Middle Permian, Kazanian Stage; Arkhangelsk Region, Russia） and Tyulkinia bashkuevi gen. et sp. nov. from Tyulkino locality （Lower Permian, Kungurian Stage; Perm Region, Russia） are described.
