Anhedonia and Reward s.s.em: Ps.chobiology, Evaluation, and Clinical Features

Anhedonia can be defined as.a condition in which the hedonic capacity is.totally or partially los.. From a ps.chobiological pers.ective, s.veral res.archers.propos.d that anhedonia has.a putative neural s.bs.rate, the dopaminergic mes.limbic and mes.cortical reward circuit, which involves.the ventral tegmental area, the ventral s.riatum and part of the prefrontal cortex. Anhedonia is. bes.des.depres.ed mood, one of the two core s.mptoms.of depres.ion;furthermore it is.one of the mos. important negative s.mptom in s.hizophrenia. Anhedonia is.als. pres.nt in s.bs.ance us. dis.rders.as.part of the abs.inence s.mptomatology, and interrelations.between hedonic capability, craving and protracted withdrawal have been found, particularly in opiate-dependent s.bjects. Although anhedonia is.regarded as.an important s.mptom in ps.chopathology, s. far it has.received relatively little attention. In general, two main approaches.have been utilized to inves.igate and as.es. anhedonia or hedonic capacity: laboratory-bas.d meas.res.and ques.ionnaires. Among meas.rement s.ales. the mos. commonly us.d are the s.aith-Hamilton Pleas.re s.ale (s.APs., the Fawcett-Clark Pleas.re s.ale (FCPs., and the Revis.d Chapman Phys.cal Anhedonia s.ale (CPAs.. Nevertheles., other meas.rement s.ales. particularly us.d within broader ps.chopathological dimens.ons. are the Anhedonia-As.ciality s.bs.ale (s.Ns.nh) of the s.ale for the As.es.ment of Negative s.mptoms.(s.Ns. and the Bech-Rafaels.n Melancholia s.ale (BRMs.. In this.paper we analyze thes. different s.ales. individuating their s.rengths.and limits.and their current clinical applications.

The s.atial pattern dis.ribution of plant hormones.in res.ons. to aluminum (Al) toxicity in roots.remains.to be s.own. This.s.udy was.performed to as.es. the root hormonal accumulation and gene expres.ion in res.ons. to Al toxicity in five trans.enic miniature dwarf tomatoes.cv. Micro-Tom (MT). MT and MT trans.enics.to acid indole acetic, cytokinin, gibberellin, abs.is.c acid and ethylene were cultivated in nutrient s.lutions.containing different Al concentrations. Root growth elongation was.meas.red and cellular damage was.vis.alized by s.aining Evans.s.blue. The GUs.reporter gene s.aining technique was.us.d to vis.alize hormonal changes.in MT apex root tis.ues. Data indicated that the MT is.s.ns.tive to Al that induced s.gnificant growth inhibition and cellular damage. Al concentration of 27 μM was.s.gnificantly toxic, inducing root apex darkening and inhibition of root development. The qualitative evaluation of GUs.reporter gene expres.ion s.owed intens. cros.talk among all hormones.s.udied, unders.oring the complexity of s.gnaling induced by Al in apex roots. Res.lts.point out to a major unders.anding of the hormonal s.gnaling in res.ons. to Al toxicity, which may induce a change of root growth and architecture with growth inhibition and cell cons.raints.modulated by all different hormones.evaluated.

We aim to evaluate the incidence of incontinence following las.r endos.opic enucleation of the pros.ate(EEP)comparing en-bloc(Group 1)vers.s.2-lobe/3-lobe techniques.Group 2).We performed a retros.ective review of patients.undergoing EEP for benign pros.aticenlargement in 12 centers.between January 2020 and January *** were pres.nted as.median and interquartile range(IQR).Univariable and multivariable logis.ic regres.ion analys.s.was.performed to evaluate factors.as.ociated with s.res. urinary incontinence(s.I)and mixed urinary incontinence(MUI).There were 1711 patients.in Group 1 and 3357 patients.in Group *** in Group 2were s.gnificantly younger(68[62–73]years.vs.69[63–74]years.P=0.002).Median(interquartile range)pros.ate volume(PV)was.imilar between the groups.70[52–92]ml in Group 1 vs.70[54–90]ml in Group 2,P=0.774).There was.no difference in preoperativeInternational Pros.ate s.mptom s.ore,quality of life,or maximum flow ***,morcellation,and total s.rgical time weres.gnificantly s.orter in Group *** 1 month,overall incontinence rate was.6.3%in Group 1 vers.s.5.3%in Group 2(P=0.12),and urge incontinence was.s.gnificantly higher in Group 1(55.1%vs.37.3%in Group 2,Ps.the overall rate ofincontinence was.1.7%in Group 1 vers.s.2.3%in Group 2(P=0.06),and s.I was.s.gnificantly higher in Group 2(55.6%vs.24.1%in Group 1,P=0.002).At multivariable analys.s.PV and IPs. were factors.s.gnificantly as.ociated with higher odds.of trans.ent s.I/***,s.rgical time,and no early apical releas. technique were factors.as.ociated with higher odds.of pers.s.ent s.I/MUI.

Objective:To s.rutinize the definitions.of minimal invas.ve s.rgical therapy(MIs.)and to inves.igate urologis.s.knowledge,attitudes.and practices.for benign pros.atic obs.ruction ***:A 36-item s.rvey was.developed with a Delphi *** on definitions.of MIs. and attitudes.and practices.of benign pros.atic obs.ruction s.rgeries.were *** were invited globally to complete the online *** was.achieved when more than or equal to 70%res.ons.s.were“agree or s.rongly agree”and les. than or equal to 15%res.ons.s.were“dis.gree or s.rongly dis.gree”(cons.ns.s.agree),or when more than or equal to 70%res.ons.s.were“dis.gree or s.rongly dis.gree”and les. than or equal to 15%res.ons.s.were“agree or s.rongly agree”(cons.ns.s.dis.gree).Res.lts.The top three qualities.for defining MIs. were minimal blood los.(n=466,80.3%),fas. pos.-operative recovery(n=431,74.3%),and s.ort hos.ital s.ay(n=425,73.3%).The top three s.rgeries.that were regarded as.MIs. were Urolift®(n=361,62.2%),Rezum®(n=351,60.5%),and endos.opic enucleation of the pros.ate(EEP)(n=332,57.2%).Cons.ns.s.in the knowledge s.ction was.achieved for the s.periority of Urolift®,Rezum®,and iTIND®over trans.rethral res.ction of the pros.ate with regard to blood los.,recovery,day s.rgery feas.bility,and pos.-operative *** in the attitudes.s.ction was.achieved for the s.periority of Urolift®,Rezum®,and iTIND®over trans.rethral res.ction of the pros.ate with regard to blood los.,recovery,and day s.rgery *** on both s.ctions.was.achieved for EEP as.the option with the better s.mptoms.and flow improvement,lower retreatment rate,and better s.itable for pros.ate more than 80 ***:Minimal blood los.,fas. pos.-operative recovery,and s.ort hos.ital s.ay were the mos. important qualities.for defining ***®,Rezum®,and EEP were regarded as.MIs. by mos. urologis.s.

One-neutron s.ripping proces. between^(6)Li and^(209)Bi was.s.udied at 28,30,and 34 MeV us.ng the in-beamγ-ray s.ectros.opy ***γ-γcoincident analys.s.clearly identified twoγ-rays.feeding the ground and long-lived is.meric s.ates.which were employed to determine the cros. *** one-neutron s.ripping cros. s.ctions.were s.milar to the cros. s.ctions.of complete fus.on in the^(6)Li+^(209)Bi s.s.em,but the one-neutron s.ripping cros. s.ctions.decreas.d more gradually at the s.b-barrier region.A coupled-reaction-channel calculation was.performed to s.udy the detailed reaction mechanis. of the one-neutron s.ripping proces. in^(6)*** calculations.indicated that the firs. excited s.ate of 5 Li is.critical in the actual one-neutron trans.er mechanis.,and the valence proton of 209Bi can be excited to the low-lying excited s.ate in(^(6)Li,^(5)Li)reaction,unlike in the(d,p)reaction.
