Today’s explosion of data urgently requires memory technologies capable of storing large volumes of data in shorter time frames,a feat unattain-able with Flash or *** Optane,commonly referred to as three-dimensional phase change memory,stands out as one of the most promising *** Optane with cross-point architecture is constructed through layering a storage element and a selector known as the ovonic threshold switch(OTS).The OTS device,which employs chalcogenide film,has thereby gathered increased attention in recent *** this paper,we begin by providing a brief introduction to the discovery process of the OTS ***,we summarize the key elec-trical parameters of OTS devices and delve into recent explorations of OTS materials,which are categorized as Se-based,Te-based,and S-based material ***,we discuss various models for the OTS switching mechanism,including field-induced nucleation model,as well as several carrier injection ***,we review the progress and innovations in OTS mechanism ***,we highlight the successful application of OTS devices in three-dimensional high-density memory and offer insights into their promising performance and extensive prospects in emerging applications,such as self-selecting memory and neuromorphic computing.

The successful implementation of renewable Energy Communities(rECs)involves maximizing the self-consumption within a community,particularly in regulatory contexts in which shared energy is *** many countries,the absence of a metering infrastructure that provides data at an hourly or sub-hourly resolution level for low-voltage users(e.g.,residential and commercial users)makes the design of a new energy community a challenging *** study proposes a non-intrusive machine learning methodology that can be used to generate residential electrical consumption profiles at an hourly resolution level using only monthly consumption data(i.e.,billed energy),with the aim of estimating the energy shared by *** proposed methodology involves three phases:first,identifying the typical load patterns of residential users through k-Means clustering,then implementing a random Forest algorithm,based on monthly energy bills,to identify typical load patterns and,finally,reconstructing the hourly electrical load profile through a data-driven rescaling *** effectiveness of the proposed methodology has been evaluated through an rEC case study composed by 37 residential users powered by a 70 kWp photovoltaic *** Normalized Mean Absolute Error(NMAE)and the Normalized root Mean Squared Error(NrMSE)were evaluated over an entire year and whenever the energy was shared within the *** relative Absolute Error was also measured when estimating the shared energy at both a monthly(MrAE)and at an annual basis.(rAE).A comparison between the rEC load profile reconstructed using the proposed methodology and the real load profile yielded an overall NMAE of 20.04%,an NrMSE of 26.17%,and errors of 18.34%and 23.87%during shared energy timeframes,***,our model delivered relative absolute errors for the estimation of the shared energy at a monthly and annual scale of 8.31%and 0.12%,respectively.

Active suspension systems(ASSs)have been proposed and developed for a few decades,and have now once again become a thriving topic in both academia and industry,due to the high demand for driving comfort and safety and the compatibility of ASSs with vehicle electrification and *** review papers on ASSs mainly cover dynamics modeling and robust control;however,the gap between academic research outcomes and industrial application requirements has not yet been bridged,hindering most ASS research knowledge from being transferred to vehicle *** paper comprehensively reviews advances in ASSs for road vehicles,with a focus on hardware structures and control *** particular,state-of-the-art ASSs that have been recently adopted in production cars are discussed in detail,including the representative solutions of Mercedes active body control(ABC)and Audi predictive active suspension;novel concepts that could become alternative candidates are also introduced,including series active variable geometry suspension,and the active wheel-alignment *** with compact structure,small mass increment,low power consumption,high-frequency response,acceptable economic costs,and high reliability are more likely to be adopted by car *** terms of control strategies,the development of future ASSs aims not only to stabilize the chassis attitude and attenuate the chassis vibration,but also to enable ASSs to cooperate with other modules(e.g.,steering and braking)and sensors(e.g.,cameras)within a car,and even with high-level decision-making(e.g.,reference driving speed)in the overall transportation system-strategies that will be compatible with the rapidly developing electric and autonomous vehicles.

Metal-halide perovskites are revolutionizing the world of X-ray detectors,due to the development of sensitive,fast,and cost-effective ***-powered operation,ensuring portability and low power consumption,has also been recently demonstrated in both bulk materials and thin ***,the signal stability and repeatability under continuous X-ray exposure has only been tested up to a few hours,often reporting degradation of the detection *** it is shown that self-powered direct X-ray detectors,fabricated starting from a FAPbBr_(3)submicrometer-thick film deposition onto a mesoporous TiO_(2)scaffold,can withstand a 26-day uninterrupted X-ray exposure with negligible signal loss,demonstrating ultra-high operational stability and excellent *** structural modification is observed after irradiation with a total ionizing dose of almost 200 Gy,revealing an unexpectedly high radiation hardness for a metal-halide perovskite thin *** addition,trap-assisted photoconductive gain enabled the device to achieve a record bulk sensitivity of 7.28 C Gy^(−1)cm^(−3)at 0 V,an unprecedented value in the field of thin-film-based photoconductors and photodiodes for“hard”***,prototypal validation under the X-ray beam produced by a medical linear accelerator for cancer treatment is also introduced.
