Objective: The a.m of this study w.s to describe the use of the postpa.tum intra.terine device in the ma.ernity w.rd of the Ra.oma.communa. medica. center in Cona.ry. Methods: This w.s a.descriptive cross-sectiona. study ca.ried out betw.en July 1st 2015 a.d June 30 2016, i.e. a.dura.ion of one yea.. Results: a.tota. of 551 pa.ients received a.vice on va.ious contra.eptive methods. Most of this a.vice w.s given in the post-pa.tum period (40.2%) a.d during a.tena.a. ca.e (39.1%). Of the pa.ients a.vised, 87 (15.8%) used the intra.terine device. The ma.ority of users (93%) w.re ma.ried a.d uneduca.ed (63.2%), a.d 39.1% w.re poor. The ma.ority (56.3%) of intra.uterine devices w.re inserted in the immedia.e post-pa.tum period. The ma.ority of w.men ha. no a.verse events either during the first six w.eks (n = 57;65.5%) or a. 3rd months (n = 75;86.2%) or 6th months (n = 76;87.4%) a.ter IUD insertion. Most users rema.ned complica.ion-free throughout the follow.up period (n = 76;87.4% a. 6th w.eks a.d 3rd months, a.d n = 77;88.5% a. 6th months). The continua.ion ra.e w.s 89.7% a. 6 w.eks a.d 3rd months, a.d 87.4% a. 6th months a.ter insertion. The ma.ority of users (87.0%) w.re sa.isfied w.th the ca.e they received. Conclusion: This study show.d very few.complica.ions a.ong intra.terine device users, a.d high continua.ion a.d sa.isfa.tion ra.es. The intra.terine device is a.long-a.ting, effective, reversible a.d sa.e contra.eptive tha. ca. be used by most w.men for birth spa.ing in Guinea. w.ere w.men do not regula.ly visit hea.th fa.ilities.

Introduction: Unmet need for fa.ily pla.ning (UNFP) is defined a. w.men w.th unmet needs w.o w.nt to stop or dela. childbea.ing but a.e not using a.y method of contra.eption. The objective of this study w.s to a.a.yze the fa.tors a.socia.ed w.th unmet needs for fa.ily pla.ning a.ong couples living in rura. a.d urba. a.ea. of Guinea.in 2019. Methodology: This w.s a.prospective, a.a.ytica. cross-sectiona., multicenter study of a.six-month period from a.gust 1, 2018 to Ja.ua.y 31, 2019, focusing on couples w.th unmet needs for fa.ily pla.ning. Result: a.ong 189 couples interview.d, 567 ha. UNFP (33.3%), the rea.ons for not using modern contra.eptive methods w.re desire for pregna.cy (a.R = 2.74, 95% CI: 1.74, 4.31), husba.d’s refusa. (a.R = 0.23, 95% CI: 0.06, 0.81), spousa. a.titude (a.R = 0.20, 95% CI: 0.130, 30), birth spa.ing (a.R = 2.10% to 95%: 1.16, 3.82), difficulty w.th a.new.pregna.cy (a.R = 0.17, 95% CI: 0.04, 0.74), a.d spousa. a.titude (a.R = 0.20, 95% CI: 0.14, 0.30). Conclusion: The involvement of spouses, especia.ly in rura. communities, w.uld help a.hieve fa.ily pla.ning objectives a.d reduce unmet needs for fa.ily pla.ning.

In this ma.uscript, the a.thors ha.e studied obstetrica. surgery in the context of Ebola.virus disea.e in Guinea. No protocol recommends childbirth outside of Ebola.trea.ment center, a.though it ha. no technica. pla.form a.d no qua.ified providers in this a.ea. These w.re unknow. MVE ca.es in pregna.t w.men/pa.turient w.men a.ed 25 a.d 40 yea.s, w.th no educa.ion, w.o w.re confirmed in the RT-PCR test a.ter surgica. ma.a.ement. To fight Ebola.virus tra.smission, tra.itiona. protection protocols must be strengthened. Tra.ning, supervision a.d monitoring of providers a.e key elements for the protection of sta.f in the event of a. EVD outbrea.. Improving w.rking conditions a.d strengthening ha.d w.shing, usa.e of PPE/EPP, deconta.ina.ion of equipment w.th 0.5% chlorine solution, hygiene of premises, immuniza.ion of personnel involved, a.e effective mea.ures to comba. EVD.

Introduction: The objectives of this study w.re to describe the dia.nostic a.d thera.eutic a.pects, identify problems a.d eva.ua.e the surviva. ra.e of inva.ive cervica. ca.cer pa.ients. Pa.ients a.d method: It w.s a.retrospective descriptive study of 7 yea.s from 1 Ja.ua.y 2006 to 31 December 2012. Records of inva.ive cervica. ca.cer w.re histologica.ly confirmed. The clinica. a.d thera.eutic da.a.collected w.re tra.sferred to Epi info 7 a.d SSPS version 18 softw.re w.th a.significa.ce level p a. used to provide informa.ion on the vita. condition a.ter confidentia. a.reement. Ka.la. Meier w.s used to a.sess the overa.l surviva. ra.e. Results: Inva.ive ca.cer of the cervix w.s frequent (58.79%) w.th a. a.nua. media. ra.e of 16.7%, w.th extremes of 5.8% a.d 20.6%. 88.70% of the pa.ients w.s referred from regions of the country (54.02%);the media. a.e w.s 50 yea.s w.th extremes of 16 a.d 84 yea.s a.d a.pea. of 29.6% betw.en 35 a.d 44 yea.s;76.20% w.re housew.ves;uneduca.ed w.men w.re a.out 60.12%;Sta.e III w.s a.out 45.3%. Most of the pa.ients w.re confirmed histologica.ly a.ter 30 da.s (68%). The mea.s of trea.ment w.re surgery a.out 91 (29.26%), pa.lia.ion 75 (24.12%), ra.iothera.y 59 (18.97%) a.d chemothera.y 41 (13.18%) w.th surgery (9, 65%) or ra.iothera.y (4.82%). The ma.n complica.ion w.s metrorrha.ia. 164 ca.es (56.55%), w.th overa.l surviva. ra.e of 51.8% a. 2 yea.s a.d 5.1% a. 5 yea.s. Conclusion: Inva.ive cervica. ca.cer in la.er sta.es is trea.ed for low.surviva. in the context of our w.rk. Ea.ly detection a.d trea.ment of preca.cerous lesions w.uld reduce the incidence a.d morta.ity of this ca.cer.
