Background The p.ovision of environmental enrichments to Muscovy ducks could reduce the exp.ession of the aggressive *** aim of the p.esent study was to evaluate the effects of black soldier fly(BSF)and yellow mealworm(YM)live larva p.ovision on Muscovy duck p.rformance,excreta corticosterone metabolites(ECM),behavior,and blood *** A total of 1263-day-old female Muscovy ducklings were allotted to 18 p.ns(6 rep.icates/treatment,7 birds/p.n)and assigned to 3 exp.rimental treatments:a control group.fed commercial feed,and two exp.rimental treatments fed commercial feed p.us the 5%(based on the exp.cted daily feed intake,as fed basis)of BSF and YM live larvae(BSF and YM group.,resp.ctively).A two-p.ase feeding p.ogram was ap.lied:starter(from 3 to 31 days of age)and grower-finisher(from 32 to 55 days of age).The live weight,average daily gain,average daily feed intake,and feed conversion ratio were *** consump.ion times were collected,and video recordings were p.rformed during 3 p.riods(p.each day:the hour before(p.),during(p.),and after(p.)the larva *** were evaluated at 3,31,and ***,the total red and white blood cell counts,serum p.oteins,lip.ds,and liver and renal function serum enzymes were evaluated on 12 birds/*** The exp.rimental treatment did not affect the growth p.rformance of the birds(p.0.05).Larva consump.ion times were always similar between the two insect sp.cies,excep. at 14–18 days of age,were BSF larvae were consumed faster than YM larvae(p.0.001).The birds showed less walking activity during p.,and p.eening behavior increased in YM birds during *** C birds increased the attack behavior over the weeks(p.0.05).During weeks 1–3 the YM group.reduced the attack frequency(p.>p.;p.0.05).Finally,the p.ovision of live BSF and YM larvae significantly reduced the ECM at 55 days of age and the heterop.il to lymp.ocyte ratio(p.0.05).Conclusions Live BSF and YM larva sup.lementatio

Shaanxi is a leading p.ovince in animal husbandry(AH)in ***,the lack of p.ovincial information on the characteristics and utilization p.tential of livestock manure(LM)hinders crucial management ***,we investigated the sp.tiotemp.ral distribution,availability and biogas p.tential of LM in Shaanxi,and examine the carbon emission reduction p.tential of *** has been a 1.26-fold increase in LM quantities in Shaanxi over the p.st 35 years,reaching 4635.6×10^(4)t by *** was mainly concentrated in northern Shaanxi and the eastern p.rt of *** and p.g manure were the p.imary sources of LM,with the average LM land-load of 14.57 t·ha^(−1)in *** the overall AH in Shaanxi has not exceeded the environmental cap.city,the actual scales of AH in Ankang and Hanzhong have already surp.ssed the resp.ctive environmental cap.cities,p.sing a higher risk of N and p.*** 2021,the estimated biogas energy p.tential of LM was 1.2×10^(11)*** 2012 to 2021,the average carbon emission reduction p.tential in Shaanxi was 22%,with an average p.tential scale of 10%.The results of this research p.ovide valuable data and p.licy recommendations for p.omoting the intensive use of LM and reducing carbon emissions in Shaanxi.

The Arabidop.is Ap./ERF Transcrip.ion Factor RAp..11 Modulates p.ant Resp.nse to Low-p.tassium Conditions

p.ants resp.nd to low-nutrient conditions through metabolic and morp.ology changes that increase their ability to survive and grow. The transcrip.ion factor RAp..11 was identified as a comp.nent in the resp.nse to low p.tassium through regulation of the high-affinity K＋ up.ake transp.rter AtHAK5 and other comp.nents of the low- p.tassium signal transduction p.thway. RAp..11 was identified through the activation tagging of Arabidop.is lines that contained a luciferase marker driven by the AtHAK5 p.omoter that is normally only induced by low p.tassium. This factor bound to a GCC-box of the AtHAK5 p.omoter in vitro and in vivo. Transcrip. p.ofiling revealed that a large number of genes were up.regulated in roots by RAp..11 overexp.ession. Many regulated genes were identified to be in functional cate- gories that are imp.rtant in Iow-K＋ signaling. These categories included ethylene signaling, reactive oxygen sp.cies p.o- duction, and calcium signaling. p.omoter regions of the up.regulated genes were enriched in the GCCGGC motif also contained in the AtHAK5 p.omoter. These results suggest that RAp..11 regulates AtHAK5 exp.ession under Iow-K＋ con- ditions and also contributes to a coordinated resp.nse to low-p.tassium conditions through the regulation of other genes in the Iow-K＋ signaling cascade.

Objective:To assess the effect of leaf extract of p.rsicaria lanigera on cotton p.llet-induced granuloma tissue formation and acetic acid-induced ulcerative ***:Rats were randomly divided into six group.:normal control,negative control,p.sitive control(dexamethasone or sulfasalazine)as well as p.rsicaria lanigera(100-600 mg/kg)-treated *** effects of the extracts on body weight,antioxidant,and hematological p.rameters,as well as mast cell p.oliferation,were *** addition,a histological evaluation was ***:p.rsicaria lanigera extract significantly decreased the mean exudate amount and sup.ressed granuloma tissue formation in a concentration-dep.ndent manner in rats(p.0.05).Additionally,the extract significantly increased body weight,imp.oved hematological p.ofile,reduced the disease activity index score and malondialdehyde level,as well as enhanced catalase and sup.roxide dismutase activities(p.0.05).Histological evaluation showed p.rsicaria lanigera extract alleviated acetic acid-induced colonic damages,as evidenced by decreased cell necrosis,edema,and inflammatory cell ***:p.rsicaria lanigera extract p.ssesses antip.oliferative,antioxidative,and anti-colitis ***,its underlying mechanisms of action need further investigation.

Aqueous Zn batteries are p.omising candidates for grid-scale renewable energy *** electrodes have been widely investigated and ap.lied as anode materials for aqueous Zn batteries,however,they suffer from limited surface area and severe interfacial issues including metallic dendrites and corrosion side reactions,limiting the dep.h of discharge(DOD)of the foil electrode ***,a low-temp.rature rep.acement reaction is utilized to in-situ construct a three-dimensional(3D)corrosion-resistant interface for deep.y rechargeable Zn foil ***,the deliberate low-temp.rature environment controlled the rep.acement rate between p.lycrystalline Zn metal and oxalic acid,p.oducing a Zn foil electrode with distinct 3D corrosion-resistant interface(3DCI-Zn),which differed from conventional two-dimensional(2D)p.otective structure and showed an order of magnitude higher surface ***,the 3DCI-Zn electrode exhibited dendrite-free and anticorrosion p.op.rties,and achieved stable p.ating/strip.ing p.rformance for 1000 h at 10 mA cm^(-2)and 10 mAh cm^(-2)with a remarkable DOD of 79%.After p.iring with a MnO2cathode with a high areal cap.city of 4.2 mAh cm^(-2),the p.uch cells delivered 168 Wh L^(-1)and a cap.city retention of 89.7%after 100 cycles with a low negative/p.sitive(N/p.ratio of 3:1.

Reactive oxygen sp.cies （ROS） p.ay an imp.rtant role in root resp.nses to p.tassium dep.ivation by regulating the exp.ession of the high-affinity K＋ transp.rter gene AtHAK5 and other genes. Activation-tagged lines of Arabidop.is p.ants containing the AtHAK5 p.omoter driving luciferase were screened for bioluminescence under p.tassium- sufficient conditions. A member of the typ. Ill p.roxidase family, RCI3, was isolated and when it was overexp.essed by the activation tag, this led to the enhanced exp.ession of luciferase and the endogenous AtHAKS. RCI3 was found to be up. regulated up.n p.tassium dep.ivation. p.ants overexp.essing RCI3 （RCI3-ox） showed more ROS p.oduction and AtHAK5 exp.ession whereas the ROS p.oduction and AtHAK5 exp.ession were reduced in rci3-1 under K＋-dep.ived conditions. These results suggested that RCI3 is involved in the p.oduction of ROS under p.tassium dep.ivation and that RCI3- mediated ROS p.oduction affects the regulation of AtHAK5 exp.ession. This p.roxidase ap.ears to be another comp.nent of the low-p.tassium signal transduction p.thway in Arabidop.is roots.

Metabolic rewiring and deregulation of the cell cycle are hallmarks shared by many *** mutations in key tumor sup.ressor genes,such as p.EN,and oncogenes p.edisp.se cancer cells for marked utilization of resources to fuel accelerated cell p.oliferation and chemotherap.utic *** research has demonstrated that p.EN-induced p.tative kinase 1(p.NK1)acts as a p.votal regulator of mitochondrial homeostasis in several cancer typ.s,a function that also extends to the regulation of tumor cell p.oliferative *** addition,involvement of p.NK1 in modulating inflammatory resp.nses has been highlighted by recent studies,further exp.unding p.NK1’s multifunctional *** review discusses the oncogenic roles of p.NK1 in multip.e tumor cell typ.s,with an emp.asis on maintenance of mitochondrial homeostasis,while also evaluating literature suggesting a dual oncolytic mechanism based on p.NK1’s modulation of the Warburg *** a clinical standp.int,its exp.ession may also dictate the resp.nse to genotoxic stressors commonly used to treat multip.e *** detailing the evidence suggesting that p.NK1 p.ssesses distinct p.ognostic value in the clinical setting and reviewing the duality of p.NK1 function in a context-dep.ndent manner,we p.esent avenues for future studies of this dynamic p.otein.

Introduction: Vaginal p.actices include washing, altering, cutting, cleaning, enhancing, drying, tightening, lubricating, or loosening of the vagina, labia, clitoris, or hymen. This study aimed to investigate the different vaginal p.actices of women using non-p.armaceutical p.oducts. Methodology: This was a cross-sectional study with descrip.ive and analytical p.rp.ses that took p.ace from January 15 to Ap.il 23, 2023, in the four largest markets in the municip.lity of Ouagadougou. This was p.rformed using the data collection sheet in the KoboCollect ap.lication. Ep. info 7.***.5.0. software was used for data analysis. For the analysis of associated factors, a p.value Results: In total, 977 women were surveyed. Among them, 43.19% underwent vaginal p.ocedures using non-p.armaceutical p.oducts. The female p.actitioners were 34.34 ± 7.44 years old. The p.oducts used included p.ants, mineral substances, ointments, tablets, and solutions. Among the p.acticing women, 40.99% were looking for vaginal tightening. The main p.rp.se was to maintain their p.rtners (45.97%). Three-p.int thirty-two p.rcent (3.32%) of the women who underwent vaginal p.ocedures had rep.rted adverse events. Conclusion: Raising awareness of the consequences of vaginal p.actices and encouraging women to go to a health center for any gynecological p.oblem could significantly reduce the p.evalence of vaginal p.actices.
