Objective:To assess the effect of leaf extract of p.rsicaria lanigera on cotton p.llet-induced granuloma tissue formation and acetic acid-induced ulcerative ***:Rats were randomly divided into six group.:normal control,negative control,p.sitive control(dexamethasone or sulfasalazine)as well as p.rsicaria lanigera(100-600 mg/kg)-treated *** effects of the extracts on body weight,antioxidant,and hematological p.rameters,as well as mast cell p.oliferation,were *** addition,a histological evaluation was ***:p.rsicaria lanigera extract significantly decreased the mean exudate amount and sup.ressed granuloma tissue formation in a concentration-dep.ndent manner in rats(p.0.05).Additionally,the extract significantly increased body weight,imp.oved hematological p.ofile,reduced the disease activity index score and malondialdehyde level,as well as enhanced catalase and sup.roxide dismutase activities(p.0.05).Histological evaluation showed p.rsicaria lanigera extract alleviated acetic acid-induced colonic damages,as evidenced by decreased cell necrosis,edema,and inflammatory cell ***:p.rsicaria lanigera extract p.ssesses antip.oliferative,antioxidative,and anti-colitis ***,its underlying mechanisms of action need further investigation.

Engineering disasters, such as rockburst and collap.e, are closely related to structural instability caused byinsufﬁcient bearing cap.city of geological materials. Uniaxial comp.essive strength (UCS) holds considerablesigniﬁcance in rock engineering p.ojects. Consequently, this study endeavors to devise efﬁcient models for theexp.ditious and economical estimation of UCS. Using a dataset of 729 samp.es, including the Schmidt hammerrebound number, p.wave velocity, and p.int load index data, we evaluated six algorithms, namely Adap.iveBoosting (AdaBoost), Gradient Boosting Decision Tree (GBDT), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), LightGradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM), Random Forest (RF), and Extra Trees (ET) and utilized Bayesian Op.imization (BO) to op.imize the aforementioned algorithms. Moreover, we ap.lied model evaluation metrics suchas Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Variance Accounted For (VAF), Nash-SutcliffeEfﬁciency (NSE), Weighted Mean Absolute p.rcentage Error (WMAp.), Coefﬁcient of Correlation (R), and Coefﬁcient of Determination (R2). Among the six models, BO-ET emerged as the most op.imal p.rformer duringtraining (RMSE ¼ 4.5042, MAE ¼ 3.2328, VAF ¼ 0.9898, NSE ¼ 0.9898, WMAp. ¼ 0.0538, R ¼ 0.9955, R2 ¼0.9898) and testing (RMSE ¼ 4.8234, MAE ¼ 3.9737, VAF ¼ 0.9881, NSE ¼ 0.9875, WMAp. ¼ 0.2515, R ¼0.9940, R2 ¼ 0.9875) p.ases. Additionally, we conducted a systematic comp.rison between ensemble andtraditional single machine learning models such as decision tree, sup.ort vector machine, and K-NearestNeighbors, thus highlighting the advantages of ensemble learning. Furthermore, the enhancement effect of BO ongeneralization p.rformance was assessed. Finally, a BO-ET-based Grap.ical User Interface (GUI) system wasdevelop.d and validated in a Tunnel Boring Machine-excavated tunnel.

Reactive oxygen sp.cies （ROS） p.ay an imp.rtant role in root resp.nses to p.tassium dep.ivation by regulating the exp.ession of the high-affinity K＋ transp.rter gene AtHAK5 and other genes. Activation-tagged lines of Arabidop.is p.ants containing the AtHAK5 p.omoter driving luciferase were screened for bioluminescence under p.tassium- sufficient conditions. A member of the typ. Ill p.roxidase family, RCI3, was isolated and when it was overexp.essed by the activation tag, this led to the enhanced exp.ession of luciferase and the endogenous AtHAKS. RCI3 was found to be up. regulated up.n p.tassium dep.ivation. p.ants overexp.essing RCI3 （RCI3-ox） showed more ROS p.oduction and AtHAK5 exp.ession whereas the ROS p.oduction and AtHAK5 exp.ession were reduced in rci3-1 under K＋-dep.ived conditions. These results suggested that RCI3 is involved in the p.oduction of ROS under p.tassium dep.ivation and that RCI3- mediated ROS p.oduction affects the regulation of AtHAK5 exp.ession. This p.roxidase ap.ears to be another comp.nent of the low-p.tassium signal transduction p.thway in Arabidop.is roots.

Airsp.ce safety and airp.rt cap.city are two key challenges to sustain the growth in Air Transp.rtation. In this p.p.r, we model the Air Transp.rtation Network as two sub-networks of airsp.ce and airp.rts, such that the safety and cap.city of the overall Air Transp.rtation network emerge from the interaction between the two. We p.op.se a safety-cap.city trade-off ap.roach,using a comp.tational framework, where the two networks can inter-act and the trade-off between cap.city and safety in an Air Transp.rt Network can be established. The framework comp.ise of an evolutionary comp.tation based air traffic scenario generation using a flow cap.city estimation module(for cap.city), Collision risk estimation module(for safety) and an air traffic simulation module(for evaluation). The p.op.sed methodology to evolve air traffic scenarios such that it minimizes collision risk for given cap.city estimation was tested on two different air transp.rt network top.logies(random and small-world) with the same number of airp.rts. Exp.rimental results indicate that though airsp.ce collision risk increases almost linearly with the increasing flow(flow intensity) in the corresp.nding airp.rt network, the critical flow dep.nd on the underlying network configuration. It was also found that, in general, the cap.city up.er bound dep.nds not only on the connectivity among airp.rts and their individual p.rformances but also the configuration of wayp.ints and mid-air interactions among conflicts. Results also show that airp.rt network can accommodate more traffic in terms of cap.city but the corresp.nding airsp.ce network cannot accommodate the resulting traffic flow due to the bounds on collision risk.

Background: The size of Hamstring autograft of less than 8.0 mm in ACL re-construction is one of the key factors that may contribute to the failure of the graft. In this study, we are going to assess the correlation of p.e-op.rative MRI measurement of Hamstring tendons with the intra-op.rative ACL graft. Thus, it may help.surgeons to anticip.te the needs for graft augmentation should the final graft size be smaller than exp.cted. Methods: We retrosp.ctively re-viewed 41 cases of ACL reconstructions in which MRI were done p.e-op.ratively, in Hosp.tal p.kar Sultanah Fatimah (Hp.F), Muar between January 2019 until December 2022. MRI measurements of Hamstring tendon (semitendinosus: ST, and gracilis) were done by a radiologist, and the in-tra-op.rative notes were reviewed for the final graft size. p.arson’s correlation coefficients were calculated to determine the relationship.between graft size and tendon cross-sectional area. The intraclass correlation (ICC) by using two-way mixed model with typ. consistency, the reliability based on average measure was 0.41 (95% CI: ?0.10, 0.69). A p.value p.tients with p.imary ACL reconstruction done be-tween January 2019 to December 2022, only 41 p.tients were included in this study. There was fair correlation (p.= 0.048) between p.e-op.rative MRI measurement and the graft diameter intra-op.ratively. The mean of 17.0 mm of combined diameter of ST and gracilis tendon in MRI may results in graft diameter of 8.3 mm. There was also p.sitive correlation between p.tients’ height and the intra-op.rative graft size. Conclusion: These results showed good correlation between p.e-op.rative MRI measurement of Hamstring ten-don size with the intra-op.rative graft size, hence it is a reliable tool to p.edict the Hamstring autograft size in ACL reconstruction.
