Peanut is a worldwide oils.ed crop and the need to as.ess germplasm in a non-destructive manner is important for s.ed nutritional *** this study,Near Infrared s.ectroscopy(NIRs)was applied to rapidly as.ess germplasm variability from whole s.ed of 699 samples,field-collected and as.embled in four genetic and environmentbased sets:one set of 300 varieties of a core-collection and three sets of 133 genotypes of an inters.ecific population,evaluated in three environments in a large spatial scale of two countries,Mbalmayo and Bafia in Cameroon and Nioro in senegal,under rainfed *** elemental s.ectra were gathered on six subsets of s.eds of each sample,after three rotation scans,with a s.ectral resolution of 16 cm-1over the s.ectral range of867 nm to 2530 *** were then proces.ed by principal component analysis(PCA)coupled with Partial least squares-discriminant analysis(PLs-DA).As results,a huge variability was found between varieties and genotypes for all NIR wavelength within and between *** magnitude of genetic variation was particularly observed at 11 relevant wavelengths such as 1723 nm,usually related to oil content and fatty acid *** yielded the most chemical attributes in three significant PCs(i.e.,eigenvalues>10),which together captured 93%of the total variation,revealing genetic and environment structure of varieties and genotypes into four clus.ers,corresponding to the four samples *** pattern of genetic variability of the inters.ecific population covers,remarkably half of s.ectrum of the core-collection,turning out to be the ***,a PLs-DA model was developed and a strong accuracy of 99.6%was achieved for the four sets,aiming to classify each s.ed sample according to environment *** confusion matrix achieved for the two sets of Bafia and Nioro showed 100%of instances classified correctly with 100%at both sensitivity and s.ecificity,confirming that their s.ed quality was different f

strawberries are rich in polyphenols which impart health benefits when metabolized by the gut microbiome,including anti-inflammatory,neuroprotective,and antiproliferative *** addition,polyphenolic anthocyanins contribute to the attractive color of strawberry ***,the genetic basis of polyphenol biosynthesis has not been extensively studied in *** this investigation,ripe fruits from three cultivated strawberry populations were characterized for polyphenol content using HPLC-DAD-Msn and genotyped using the istraw35k *** and QTL analyses identified genetic loci controlling polyphenol *** were identified on four chromosomes for pelargonidin-3-O-malonylglucoside,pelargonidin-3-O-acetylglucoside,cinnamoyl glucose,and ellagic acid deoxyhexoside ***/absence of ellagic acid deoxyhexoside and pelargonidin-3-O-malonylglucoside was found to be under the control of major gene loci on LG1X2 and LG6b,res.ectively,on the F.×ananassa linkage *** of gene predictions in the *** reference genome sequence identified a single candidate gene for ellagic acid deoxyhexoside biosynthesis,while seven malonyltrans.erase genes were identified as candidates for pelargonidin-3-O-malonylglucoside *** malonyltrans.erase genes were identified in the F.×ananassa‘Camarosa’genome sequence but the candidate for ellagic acid deoxyhexoside biosynthesis was absent from the‘Camarosa’*** study demonstrated that polyphenol biosynthesis in strawberry is,in some cases,under simple genetic control,supporting previous observations of the presence or absence of these compounds in strawberry *** has also s.ed light on the mechanisms controlling polyphenol biosynthesis and enhanced the knowledge of these biosynthesis pathways in *** above findings will facilitate breeding for strawberries.enriched in compounds with beneficial health effects.

environmental stressors can negatively affect avian cognitive abilities, potentially reducing fitness, for example by altering response to predators, display to mates, or memory of locations of food. We expand on current knowledge by investigating the effects of dietary mercury, a ubiquitous.en- vironmental pollutant and known neurotoxin, on avian cognition. Zebra finches Taeniopygia gut- tata were dosed for their entire lives with sub-lethal levels of mercury, at the environmentally rele- vant dose of 1.2 parts per million. In our first study, we compared the dosed birds with controls of the same age using tests of three cognitive abilities： spatial memory, inhibitory control, and color association. In the spatial memory assay, birds were tes.ed on their ability to learn and remember the location of hidden food in their cage. The inhibitory control assay measured their ability to ig- nore visible but inaccessible food in favor of a learned behavior that provided the same reward. Finally, the color association task tes.ed each bird＇s ability to associate a s.ecific color with the presence of hidden food. Dietary mercury negatively affected spatial memory ability but not inhibi- tory control or color association. Our second study focused on three behavioral assays not tied to a s.ecific skill or problem-solving： activity level, neophobia, and social dominance. Zebra finches.exposed to dietary mercury throughout their lives were subordinate to, and more active than, con- trol birds. We found no evidence that mercury exposure influenced our metric of neophobia. Together, these results suggest that sub-lethal exposure to environmental mercury selectively harms neurological pathways that control different cognitive abilities, with complex effects on be- havior and fitness.

In this contribution we present new insights on the evolution of the Dom Feliciano Belt,southernmost mantiqueira Province,integrating new whole-rock sm-Nd isotopic data for the Arroio Grande Ophiolite(Punta del es.e Terrane,Brazil/Uruguay border)with previously publis.ed bulk-rock and isotope geochemistry of the south Adamastor paleo-ocean metamafic rocks located in Uruguay(Paso del Dragon Complex,Punta del es.e Terrane)and Namibia(Chameis subterrane,Marmora Terrane,Gariep Belt).For the regional geology,the new data corroborate previous hypothesis and demonstrate the depleted mantle features of the amphibolites and metagabbros of the studied *** Arroio Grande Ophiolite rocks are compared with its Uruguayan and Namibian counterparts,demonstrating their isotopic and geochemical similarities and differences,and the backarc affinity of the south Adamastor *** MORB-affinity amphibolites from the Arroio Grande Ophiolite-Paso del Dragon Complex are,so far,the most juvenile rocks in the eas.ern sector of the Dom Feliciano Belt,yielding εNd(640)Ma)between+7.3 and+9,and high 147sm/144Nd(>0.169)and 143Nd/144Nd(640 Ma)ratios(0.51219-0.51229).The south Adamastor is interpreted in this paper as an internal back-arc ocean,with limited lateral extension,opened at around 750-650 Ma as the result of the closure of the older Charrua-Goianide paleoocean during the Brasiliano/Pan-African orogenic cycle and final configuration of the West Gondwana paleocontinent.

Te content of the rectifed motor evoked potential(MeP)induced by transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMs)has ambiguously been as.es.ed without the precision that energy calculation *** fact has mis.ed data interpretation and misguided biomedical *** defnitively fll the gap that exits in the neurophysics processing of these signals,we computed,in Walls(̂�),the bioenergy within the rectifed MeP recorded from the human frst digitorum index(FDI)muscle at rest and under isometric *** also gauged the biowork exerted by this *** we show that bioenergy and biowork can accurately and successfully be as.es.ed,validated,and determined in̂�from MeP signals induced by TMs,regardless of knowing the mathematical expression of the function of the *** novel neurophysics approach represents a dramatic paradigm shif in analysis and interpretation of the content of the MeP and will give a true meaning to the content of rectifed ***,this innovative approach allowed unveiling that women exerted more bioenergy than men at the magnetic stimulations used in this *** of conclusions drawn from studies publis.ed elsewhere as.essing rectifed eMG signals that have used ambiguous units is strongly recommended.

Gold Mineralization Channels Identification in the Tindikala-Boutou Area (eas.ern-Cameroon) Using Geoelectrical (DC &IP) Methods: A Case study

To achieve the current study, geoelectrical surveys along six (06) profiles of 4 km long in a 100 m × 200 m grid defined according to the triangulation principle in the Ngoura area (Tindikala-Boutou villages) have been made through electrical sounding and profiling following schlumberger array. The instrument is the resistivimeter syscal Junior 48 (IRIs Instrument) which uses the electrical current. The data have been proces.ed and modelled with Res2Dinv and Winsev softwares then interpolated with surfer software. electrical methods used are the Direct current (DC) and the Induced Polarization (IP). Interpretation and analyses of results from each investigation method highlight weak zones or conductive discontinuities and mineralized zones. Conductive zones have been identified as s.ear zones within granitic structures of the Precambrian basement, according to the geologic and tectonic background of the area. The structural trend of these s.ear zones is.e-W. The mineralization within it is N-s and characterized by high values of chargeability, es.entially in the eas.ern part of the area under study. This mineralization proves the presence of metalliferous or sulphide heaps dis.eminated in weathered quartz veins which cross s.ear zones. Also, the poor mineralization and conductive structures in s.ear zones characterize the groundwater zones. The intense activities of gold was.ers.encountered in the area enable to link that mineralization to gold within quartz veins. The near surface gold mineralization is.eluvial or alluvial, and in depth this mineralization is primary.

Whole-genome duplications are an important source of evolutionary novelties that change the mode and tempo at which genetic elements.evolve within a genome. The Cucurbita genus.experienced a wholegenome duplication around 30 million years ago, although the evolutionary dynamics of the coding and noncoding genes in this genus have not yet been scrutinized. Here, we analyzed the genomes of four Cucurbita s.ecies, in eluding a newly as.embled genome of Cucurbita argyros.erma, and compared the gene con tents of these s.ecies with those of five other members of the Cucurbitaceae family to as.ess the evolutionary dynamics of protein-coding and long intergenic noncoding RNA (lincRNA) genes after the genome duplication. We report that Cucurbita genomes have a higher protein-coding gene birth-death rate compared with the genomes of the other members of the Cucurbitaceae family. C. argyros.erma gene families associated with pollination and trans.embrane transport had significantly fas.er evolutionary rates. lincRNA families showed high levels of gene turnover throughout the phylogeny, and 67.7% of the lincRNA families in Cucurbita showed evidence of birth from the neofunctionalization of previously existing protein-coding genes. Collectively, our results suggest that the whole-genome duplication in Cucurbita resulted in fas.er rates of gene family evolution through the neofunctionalization of duplicated genes.

In some countries with seismicity,an adequate detection network is.es.ential to as.ess seismic *** Instituto Geografico Nacional(National Geographic Institute/IGN)of spain manages a strong motion network distributed throughout the whole country and an earthquake detection network composed of velocity *** paper aims at studying the development of the strong motion network of the spanish National seismic Network(focusing on mainland spain and the Balearics)in the last three decades.A Geographic Information sys.em(GIs)has been implemented to integrate the attributes from the IGN’s database concerning the earthquake catalogue,seismograph and accelerometer networks,which enabled to analyse the data and map the distribution of detection equipments in the *** irregularly distributed spanish strong motion network was greatly expanded from 1990 to *** the past decade,it developed at a slower rate,but more modern technology was implemented.

目的检测重症肺炎患儿血清中胱抑素-C(Cys-C)、同型半胱氨酸(Hcy)、心型脂肪酸结合蛋白(H-FABP)表达水平,并探讨分析其与心肌损害的关系。方法选取2015年5月~2018年5月经本院确诊的163例重症肺炎患儿作为研究对象,按照是否合并心肌损害分为心肌损害组98例与非心肌损害组65例,将合并心肌损害患儿按照心肌损害的程度分为重度组30例、中度组42例、轻度组26例。同时选取74例正常儿童作为对照组。采用免疫比浊法测定血清CysC水平,采用循环酶法测定血清Hcy水平,采用酶联免疫吸附法检测H-FABP水平,采用湿化学法测定血清CK-MB水平,采用电化学发光法测定血清cTnT水平,分析不同心肌损害程度的重症肺炎患儿和健康儿童血清中Cys-C、Hcy、H-FABP的表达水平,分析Cys-C、Hcy、H-FABP表达与患儿CK-MB及cTnL水平的相关性。结果心肌损害组重症肺炎患儿血清中Cys-C、Hcy、H-FABP表达水平显著高于非心肌损害组和正常对照组(Pys-C、Hcy、H-FABP表达水平均显著高于正常对照组(Pys-C、Hcy、H-FABP表达水平均显著高于中度组和轻度组(Pys-C、Hcy、H-FABP表达水平均显著高于轻度组(Pys-C、Hcy、H-FABP表达水平均与CK-MB水平正相关(Pys-C、Hcy、H-FABP表达水平均与cTnT水平正相关(Pys-C、Hcy、H-FABP表达上调,与患儿心肌损害程度有关,对于评估此类患儿病情及预后具有一定的临床意义。
