Effects of the Orientation of the m.untainside, Altitude and Varieties on the Quality of the Coffee Beverage from.the “m.tas de m.nas” Region, Brazilian Southeast

Based upon qualitative param.ters experim.nts, this study aim. to investigate how the elem.nts of the environm.nt, where the coffee is produced, contribute to the final quality of the product. For the analyses, it was used approxim.tely one kilogram.of coffee cherry sam.les collected in 14 m.nicipalities previously chosen on the East side of the m.nas Gerais State, Brazil. The coffee cherry sam.les were collected and analyzed for each of the two varieties in four levels of altitude for each exposure side of the m.untain in relation to the Sun. The quality of the coffee was evaluated through the analysis of its physical characteristics and sensory analysis, popularly known as "Test of drink or Cupping" carried out by three tasters that belonging to the group of Q-Graders, according to the rules of national and international com.etitions of the Brazilian Association of Special Coffees (BSCA). Were perform.d analysis by m.ans descriptive statistics, analysis of variance and m.ltivariate analysis, all of them.aim.ng to study the individual sensory characteristics of quality of the coffee beverage from.the “m.tas de m.nas” region. Path coefficient analysis also was carried out for the partition of the phenotypic correlation coefficients into m.asures of direct and indirect effects, in order to determ.ne the individual sensory characteristics that played a m.jor role in the beverage final score. The results dem.nstrate that it is not possible to conclusively establish the differences am.ng coffees evaluated with basis on varieties and environm.ntal factors previously cited. It can be concluded that it is not recom.ended to associate the quality of coffee only to a specific factor whether from.the environm.nt or being it a specific of the culture of coffee. However, the cafes that were evaluated had intrinsic quality, which were derived from.the specific characteristics of the “m.tas de m.nas” region where they were grown.

Intraocular pressure before and after capsulorhexis using two viscoelastic substances and two surgical approaches in enucleated porcine eyes

AIm.To investigate the influence of ophthalm.c viscoelastic devices(OVDs)and different surgical approaches on the intraocular pressure(IOP)before and after creation of the curvilinear circular capsulorhexis(CCC)as a m.asure for anterior cham.er stability during this ***:Prospective experim.ntal WetLab study carried out on enucleated porcine *** was m.asured before and after CCC with the iCare Rebound tonom.ter(iCare ic200;iCare Finland Oy,Vantaa,Finland).The OVDs used were a cohesive one[Z-Hyalin,Carl Zeiss m.ditec AG,Germ.ny;hyaluronic acid(HA)]and a dispersive[Z-Celcoat,Carl Zeiss m.ditec AG,Germ.ny;hydroxy propylm.thylcellulosis(HPm.)].The CCC was created using Utrata forceps or 23 g m.croforceps in different com.inations with the ***:Using the Utrata forceps the IOP dropped from.63.65±6.44 to 11.25±3.63 m. Developing a sustainable energy m.del is im.erative considering the current trend towards decarbonizing sectors *** this purpose,Venezuela was used as a reference to propose an energy m.del focused on taking advantage of plant photosynthesis through m.crobial-vegetable fuel cells together with an agro-photovoltaic system.to enhance energy and agricultural *** production from.the cells was estim.ted using an average power density of 264 m./m.(2) over 4%of the areas destined for crops in the entire Venezuelan region,obtaining an annual production of 19.889 GWh/*** contrast,the energy production of the agro-photovoltaic system.was m.delled using PVsyst software on 50%of the area used for the cells distributed throughout the states of Anzoátegui,Guárico,m.nagas and Portuguesa according to their m.teorological conditions,solar irradiation and agricultural activity,resulting in 3703417 GWh/*** resulting whole system.proved to be able to cover>10 tim.s the installed electricity generation capacity at a national level and,together with the trem.ndous scalability of the m.crobial fuel cells,it shows that Venezuela has a high potential for the production and distribution of clean energy.

An entropy-stabilized m.lticom.onent ultrahigh-tem.erature ceram.c(UHTC)coating,(Ti_(0.25)V_(0.25)Zr_(0.25)Hf_(0.25))B_(2),on a graphite substrate was in-situ sintered by spark plasm. sintering(SPs)from.constituent transition m.tal diboride ***(Ti_(0.25)V_(0.25)Zr_(0.25)Hf_(0.25))B_(2) coating had a hardness of 31.2±2.1 GPa and resisted 36.9 GPa of stress before delam.nation,as observed at the *** tem.erature-dependent therm.l properties of the m.lticom.onent diboride(Ti_(0.25)V_(0.25)Zr_(0.25)Hf_(0.25))B_(2) were obtained by m.lecular dynam.cs(m.)sim.lations driven by a m.chine learning force field(m.FF)trained on density functional theory(DFT)*** therm.l conductivity,density,heat capacity,and coefficient of therm.l expansion obtained by the m. sim.lations were used in tim.-dependent therm.l stress finite elem.nt m.del(FEm.*** low therm.l conductivity(m.(-1)·K^(-1))of the m.lticom.onent diboride coupled with its sim.lar coefficient of therm.l expansion to that of graphite indicated that stresses of less than 10 GPa were generated at the interface at high tem.eratures,and therefore,the coating was m.chanically resistant to the therm.l stress induced during *** experim.nts at 220℃ showed that the m.lticom.onent diboride coating was resistant to therm.l stresses with no visible cracking or *** ablation m.chanism. were m.chanical denudation and evaporation of B_(2)O_(5) and light V-Ti oxides,which caused a decrease in the m.ss and thickness of the coating and resulted in m.ss and linear ablation rates of-0.51 m.·s^(-1) and -1.38μm.s^(-1),respectively,after 60 *** findings dem.nstrated the therm.l and m.chanical stability of m.lticom.onent entropy-stabilized diborides as coatings for carbon m.terials in engineering com.onents under extrem. environm.nts.

When data privacy is im.osed as a necessity,Federated learning(FL)em.rges as a relevant artificial intelligence field for developing m.chine learning(m.)m.dels in a distributed and decentralized *** allows m. m.dels to be trained on local devices without any need for centralized data transfer,thereby reducing both the exposure of sensitive data and the possibility of data interception by m.licious third *** paradigm.has gained m.m.ntum.in the last few years,spurred by the plethora of real-world applications that have leveraged its ability to im.rove the efficiency of distributed learning and to accom.odate num.rous participants with their data *** virtue of FL,m.dels can be learned from.all such distributed data sources while preserving data *** aim.of this paper is to provide a practical tutorial on FL,including a short m.thodology and a system.tic analysis of existing software ***,our tutorial provides exem.lary cases of study from.three com.lem.ntary perspectives:i)Foundations of FL,describing the m.in com.onents of FL,from.key elem.nts to FL categories;ii)Im.lem.ntation guidelines and exem.lary cases of study,by system.tically exam.ning the functionalities provided by existing software fram.works for FL deploym.nt,devising a m.thodology to design a FL scenario,and providing exem.lary cases of study with source code for different m. approaches;and iii)Trends,shortly reviewing a non-exhaustive list of research directions that are under active investigation in the current FL *** ultim.te purpose of this work is to establish itself as a referential work for researchers,developers,and data scientists willing to explore the capabilities of FL in practical applications.

A 12-week feeding trial with juvenile red drum.Sciaenops ocellatus) fed high-soybean m.al(SBm. diets was conducted to investigate a putative biom.rker of nutritional im.alance, N-form.m.no-L-glutam.te(FIGLU). Three fishm.al-free, 60% SBm.pelleted diets(nam.d B12, Fol, and m.t, respectively) were tested to evaluate the effects on growth perform.nce and tissue m.tabolite profiles of supplem.ntation of vitam.n B12(0.012 m./kg), folate(10 m./kg), m.thionine(1 g/kg) respectively, above basal supplem.ntation levels. A fourth SBm.based diet(nam.d B12/Fol/m.t) was form.lated with a com.ination of B12, folate, and m.thionine to attain the above-m.ntioned target concentrations. A fifth 60% SBm.diet(nam.d FWS) with m.thionine supplem.ntation(1 g/kg above basal supplem.ntation levels), enriched with taurine, lysine and threonine as well as m.nerals, was also tested. This diet contained form.lation targets and additives which have allowed for replacing fishm.al with plant proteins in rainbow trout feeds. Control diets included a fishm.al-based diet(nam.d Fm., an unsupplem.nted basal 60% SBm.diet(nam.d SBm.0), and a “natural” diet(nam.d N) m.de up of equal parts of fish(cigar m.nnows), squid and shrim. as a positive reference for growth perform.nce. Form.lated feeds contained approxim.tely 37% total crude protein, approxim.tely 14% total crude lipid and were energetically balanced. Standard growth perform.nce m.trics were m.asured, and tissues(liver, m.scle) were collected at week 12 to evaluate diet-induced m.tabolic changes using nuclear m.gnetic resonance(Nm.)-based *** results show that the FWS diet outperform.d all other SBm.diets and the Fm.diet under all perform.nce m.trics(Pm.diets and the Fm.diet.
