Background:Guidelines recommend that hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)patients with portal vein tumor thrombosis(PVTT)and/or hepatic vein tumor thrombosis(HVTT)should undergo systemic ***,recent data suggest that surgical resection may be beneficial in selected cases,but outcomes are *** aimed to estimate pooled overall survival(OS),recurrence free survival(RFS)and complication rates in HCC patients with macrovascular invasion(MVI)following surgical ***:In this systematic review and meta-analysis,two investigators independently searched PubMed,Embase,and Cochrane databases from inception to Nov 10,2020,without language restrictions,for studies reporting outcomes of adult HCC patients with MVI who underwent liver resection with curative ***:We screened 8,598 articles and included 40 studies involving 8,218 *** all patients with MVI,the pooled median OS was 14.39 months[95%confidence interval(CI):10.99-18.84],1-year OS was 54.47%(95%CI:46.12-62.58%)and 3-year OS was 23.20%(95%CI:16.61-31.42%).Overall,1-and 3-year RFS were 27.70%(95%CI:21.00-35.57%)and 10.06%(95%CI:6.62-15.01%),*** patients with PVTT,median OS was 20.41 months in those with segmental/2nd order involvement compared to 12.91 months if 1st order branch was involved and 6.41 months if the main trunk was *** pooled rate of major complications was 6.17%(95%CI:3.53-10.56%).Conclusions:Overall median survival was 14.39 months for HCC patients with MVI following *** survival was higher in PVTT with segmental/2nd order involvement at 20.41 versus 6.41 months if the main trunk was involved.

Comprehensive Summary Enantioselective or enantioconvergent iron-catalyzed ring-closing C(sp^(3))-H aminations of N-aroyloxyurea through intermediate iron nitrene species provide chiral 2-imidazolidinones in up to 99%yield and with up to 95%ee(40 examples).This is a rare example in which sustainable iron catalysis is combined with C(sp^(3))-H amination and asymmetric catalysis.

The present work explores the reaction pathways of γ-valerolactone(GVL) over a supported ruthenium catalyst. The conversion of GVL in aqueous phase over a 5% Ru/C catalyst was investigated in a batch reactor operating at 463 K under 500–1000 psi of H2. The main reaction products obtained under these conditions were 2-butanol(2-BuOH), 1,4-pentanediol(1,4-PDO), 2-methyltetrahydrofuran(2-MTHF) and 2-pentanol(2-PeOH). A complete reaction network was developed, identifying the primary and/or secondary products. In this reaction network, production of 2-BuOH via decarbonylation of a ring-opened surface intermediate CH3CH(O*)–(CH2)2–CO*is clearly the dominant pathway. From the evolution of products as a function of reaction time and theoretical(DFT) calculations, a mechanism for the formation of intermediates and products is proposed. The high sensitivity of 2-BuOH production to the presence of CO, compared to a much lower effect on the production of the other products indicates that the sites responsible for decarbonylation are particularly prone to CO adsorption and poisoning. Also, since the decarbonylation rate is not affected by the H2 pressure it is concluded that the direct decarbonylation path of the CH3CH(O*)–(CH2)2–CO*intermediate does not required a previous dehydrogenation step, as is the case in decarbonylation of short alcohols.

Operations of Knapsack Sprayer and Its Impacts on Physiological Parameters of Selected Operators

The study was aimed at determining the impacts of operating Manually Operated Hand Lever Knapsack Sprayers (MOHLKS) on physiological responses of the operators as dependent on anthropometric variations and sex. Twenty eight subjects, (4 female, 24 male) Mean ± SD: Age 22.5 ± 1.92, 24.29 ± 2.2 years;Body Mass Index 24.6 ± 4.8, 21.7 ± 2.4 kg/m2 were employed in the study. Selected anthropometric parameters of weight and height were used to determine body mass index (BMI), with these are arm-reach forward, elbow to fingertip, hand length and hand width were measured to establish human variations in diversity. Subjects undertook the operation at 5 replicates each, before and after which information about operators’ body pain locations and body physiological changes of heart rates were obtained. Measured parameters were used in the determination of expended energy (ee), physiological cost (PC), oxygen intake (VO2) and aerobic power (VO2max). Alongside with these were operational parameters of stroke, pace and time taken to get the operation done and environmental factors of temperature and relative humidity. The results revealed on the average that the BMI (24.61 ± 4.78 kg/m2) in female operators was higher, this corresponded to PC and VO2, while the VO2max (34.83 ± 3.30 ml/min/kg) in males is higher. More ee was obtained in female subjects (3.53 ± 3.76 kCal/min) as compared to male subjects (3.42 ± 7.48 kCal/min). The main effects plot of operational factors on ee displayed the stroke made by the subjects during spraying operation as parameter with largest effect on ee. Regression equation for ee and PCI is given as PCI = 1.97 + 25.2 ee, while the P-value at α = 0.05 is 0.000 and R2 = 98.8%. In this paper,we investigate the performance of commensal ambient backscatter communications(AmBC)that ride on a non-ortho go nal multiple access(NOMA)downlink transmission,in which a backscatter device(BD)splits part of its received signals from the base station(BS)for energy harvesting,and backscatters the remaining received signals to transmit information to a cellular ***,under the power consumption constraint at BD and the peak transmit power constraint at BS,we derive the optimal reflection coefficient at BD,the optimal total transmit power at BS,and the optimal power allocation at BS for each transmission block to maximize the ergodic capacity of the ambient backscatter transmission on the premise of preserving the outage performance of the NOMA downlink ***,we consider a scenario where the BS is restricted by a maximum allowed average transmit power and the reflection coefficient at BD is fixed due to BD’s low-complexity *** algorithm is developed to determine the optimal total transmit power and power allocation at BS for this ***,a low-complexity algorithm is proposed for this scenario to reduce the computational complexity and the signaling ***,the performance of the derived solutions are studied and compared via numerical simulations.

Video compression in medical video streaming is one of the key technologies associated with mobile *** delivery of medical video streams over a resource constrained network emphasizes the need of a video codec that requires minimum bitrates and maintains high perceptual *** paper presents a comparative study between High Efciency Video Coding(HEVC)and its potential successor Versatile Video Coding(VVC)in the context of healthcare.A large-scale subjective experiment comprising of twenty-four non-expert participants is presented for eight different test conditions in Full High Denition(FHD)*** presented analysis highlights the impact of compression artefacts on the perceptual quality of HEVC and VVC processed *** results and ndings show that VVC clearly outperforms HEVC in terms of achieving higher compression,while maintaining high quality in FHD *** requires upto 40%less bitrate for encoding an FHD video at excellent perceptual *** have provided rate-quality curves for both encoders and a degree of overlap across both codecs in terms of perceptual ***,there is a 71%degree of overlap in terms of quality between VVC and HEVC compressed videos for eight different test conditions.

Chiral 1,1’-binaphthyl-linked diporphyrin‘tweezers’(R)-1/(S)-1 and the corresponding zinc(II)complexes(R)-2/(S)-2 were prepared as chiral host molecules,and their utility for chiral analyses(especially enantiomeric excess(ee)determinations)were ***(1-n-dodecyl)porphyrins were used for the first time as the interacting *** capabilities of the diporphyrin tweezers were investigated by titrations with(R,R)-and(S,S)-cyclohexane-1,2-diamine(CHDA).The host molecules could be used as multichannel probes of ee by using UVvis,circular dichroism(CD),fluorescence emission and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance(1 H-NMR)*** configurations could also be differentiated using CD or 1HNMR *** three optical techniques give good resolution of ee with reasonable sensitivity considering the low concentrations used(ca.10^-6 mol·L^-1).The ee determination of CHDA enantiomers using NMR spectroscopy is also possible because of the reasonably well separated resonances in the case of(R,R)-and(S,S)-***-metallated(R)-1/(S)-1 hosts could not be used to detect chiral information in a strongly acidic chiral *** work demonstrates the utility of 1,1’-binapthyllinked chiral hosts for chiral analysis of ditopically interacting enantiomers.

生态通道模式 (EcopathModel)是一种较为方便地研究生态系统结构 ,特别是水域生态系统结构的工具 .它根据能量平衡原理 ,用线性齐次方程组描述生态系统中的生物组成和能量在各生物组成之间的流动过程 ,定量某些生态学参数 ,如生物量、生产量 /生物量、消耗量 /生物量、营养级和生态营养效率 (ee ,EcotrophicEfficiency)等 .它能够给出能量在生态通道上的流动量 ,便于对生态系统的特征和变化作深入的研究 .本文主要根据 1982～ 1983年渤海生态系统综合调查的渔业资源基础数据 ,建立了渤海生态系统初步生态通道模型 .根据食性关系特点 ,渤海生态系统Ecopath模型由 13个功能组 (Box)构成 .它们是小型浮游动物、大型浮游动物、小型软体动物、大型软体动物、小型甲壳类、大型甲壳类、草食性鱼类、小型中上层鱼类、底层鱼类、底栖鱼类、中上层顶级捕食鱼类、浮游植物和有机碎屑 .功能组的划分 ,基本上可以覆盖渤海生态系统中生物能量的主要流动过程 .模型采用每平方公里吨 /年为主要参数单位 ,大部分功能组的生产量与生物量比值 (P/B)和消耗量与生物量比值 (Q/B)参数主要是根据相同纬度水域Ecopath模型中类似的功能组估算得到 .在调试渤海生态通道模型时 ,考虑渤海生态系统是一个生态转换利用充分的水域。
