Polyhyd.oxyurethanes(PHUs)have received.consid.rable attention in the last d.cad. as potential alternatives to trad.tional phosgene-based.polyurethanes(PUs).The d.velopment of suitable 5CC(five membered.ring cyclic carbonate)precursors bearing multiple carbonate moieties(multi-5CCs)is a key requisite for preparing PHUs by polyad.ition reaction with bis-or *** sustainable PHUs from CO_(2)-based.five-membered.cyclic carbonates(5CCs)obtained.from biobased.epoxid.s is a valuable strategy to brid.e CO_(2) utilization and.the upcycling of renewable *** this context,while many multi-5CC monomers reported.in the literature are oil-based.recent efforts have led.to the d.velopment of a large variety of multifunctional 5CCs that are prod.ced.by the combination of CO_(2) and.renewable resources such as fatty acid. and.vegetable oils,lignin,terpenes,and.*** this work,recent crucial ad.ances(2019—2023)on PHUs prepared.from bis-and.multi-5CCs prod.ced.from CO_(2) and.partially/potentially)biobased.substrates are reviewed.with respect to their synthesis,thermal and.mechanical properties,and.their recent,emerging applications.

In d.gital soil mapping(d.M),a fund.mental assumption is that the spatial variability of the target variable can be explained.by the pred.ctors or environmental *** to ad.quately sample the pred.ctors have been well d.cumented.with the cond.tioned.Latin hypercube sampling(cLHS)algorithm receiving the most attention in the d.M *** ad.ances in sampling d.sign,a critical gap remains in d.termining the number of samples required.for d.M *** propose a simple workflow and.function cod.d.in R language to d.termine the minimum sample size for the cLHS algorithm based.on histograms of the pred.ctor variables using the Freed.an-d.aconis rule for d.termining optimal bin *** preprocessing was includ.d.to correct for multimod.l and.non-normally d.stributed.d.ta,as these can affect sample size d.termination from the *** on a user-selected.quantile range(QR)for the sample plan,the d.nsities of the histogram bins at the upper and.lower bound. of the QR were used.as a scaling factor to d.termine minimum sample *** technique was applied.to a field.scale set of environmental covariates for a well-sampled.agricultural stud. site near Guelph,Ontario,Canad.,and.tested.across a range of *** results showed.increasing minimum sample size with an increase in the QR *** sample size increased.from 44 to 83 when the QR increased.from 50% to 95% and.then increased.exponentially to 194 for the 99%*** technique provid.s an estimate of minimum sample size that can be used.as an input to the cLHS algorithm.

Background.The long-term sequelae of COVId.19 in child.en and.ad.lescents remain poorly und.rstood.and.*** systematic review and.meta-analysis sought to summarize the risk factors for long COVId.in the ped.atric *** We searched.six d.tabases from January 2020 to May 2023 for observational stud.es reporting on risk factors for long COVId.or persistent symptoms those were present 12 or more weeks post-infection using multivariable regression *** registries,reference lists of includ.d.stud.es,and.preprint servers were hand.searched.for relevant ***-effects meta-analyses were cond.cted.to pool od.s ratios for each risk *** stud. risk of bias was rated.using QUIPS,and.the GRAd. framework was used.to assess the certainty of evid.nce for each unique *** Sixteen observational stud.es(N=46,262)were includ.d.and.19 risk factors were amenable to *** mod.rate certainty in the evid.nce,age(per 2-year increase),allergic rhinitis,obesity,previous respiratory d.seases,hospitalization,severe acute COVId.19,and.symptomatic acute COVId.19 are probably associated.with an increased.risk of long *** sex,asthma,comorbid.ty,and.heart d.seases may be associated.with an increased.risk of long COVId.and.Asian and.Black races may be associated.with a d.creased.risk of long *** d.d.not observe any cred.ble subgroup effects for any risk *** The current bod. of literature presents several compelling risk factors for the d.velopment of long COVId.in the ped.atric *** research is necessary to elucid.te the pathophysiology of long COVId.
