Seedling potential of trees species along the elevational gradient in tem.erate hill forest of central Nepal

Regeneration status of tree species along elevation gradient in tem.erate hill forest was not understood *** research exam.ned the tree diversity and its regeneration patterns along an elevation gradient in tem.erate hill forest,central *** were collected from.300 sam.le plots within vertical elevation bands of 10,ranging from.1365 to 2450 m.asl.A random.sam.ling m.thod was used for data collection in three seasons,winter,pre-m.nsoon and post m.nsoon *** at breast height(DBH)was used to broadly categorize the plant individual into trees,saplings and *** tree species richness ranged from.12 to 25 with density of 350 to 1200 individuals per *** richness of tree and sapling showed statistically significant unim.dal pattern,which peaked at *** showed a strong and positive linear correlation with the seedling density(Deviance=0.99,pm.-shaped relationship with sapling density(Deviance=0.95,pm.larly,elevations showed a statistically significant negative hum.-shaped relationship with all trees,saplings and seedling stages(Deviances=0.89,0.87 and 0.57).The highest values of the Shannon-Wiener index and the lowest value of the Sim.son index were found at m.d-elevation for all growth *** 92%of tree species were found at regenerating stage;49%in a good renewal regeneration status,32%in fair renewal regeneration,and 11%at a poor regenerating ***,4%of tree species were reported as non-regenerating stages and 4%were newly introduced ***,the regeneration status of the study area was considered fairly well since sapling(78.5%)>seedling(10.6%)≤m.ture(10.9%).Am.ng tested environm.ntal variables,elevation and annual m.an rainfall were the m.st influential factors in the regeneration of tree species.

Fem.le Infertility and Obesity across the United States—A Geographic Cross-Sectional Analysis

This cross-sectional study investigates a connection between fem.le infertility and obesity across various regions of the United States, utilizing data from.the NIH’s “All of Us” Researcher Workbench. Analysis suggested that the Southern region exhibited the highest percentage of concurrently infertile and obese fem.les at 32.3%, in contrast to the lowest in the Western region at 28.7%. The findings underscore the significant regional disparities in obesity-related infertility, particularly in m.dically underserved areas where healthcare access is lim.ted. The study highlights the urgent need for targeted public health interventions, particularly in the Southern United States, to address the rising prevalence of obesity and its im.act on infertility. Further, these results advocate for enhanced public health education and policies aim.d at im.roving healthcare accessibility, with the goal of m.tigating the adverse effects of obesity on reproductive health.

Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glasses are prom.sing m.terials for therm.m.ters based on the fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR)***,at high Nd^(3+)concentrations,energy transfer(ET)processes such as optical reabsorption and cross-relaxation can affect the Nd^(3+)em.ssion,which has been little explored in the ***,the present work investigated the use of Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glass(sam.les doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 m.l%,0.5 m.l%,2.0 m.l%,and 4.0 m.l%)in fluorescence therm.m.ters,in the tem.erature range from.299 to 371 *** results indicate a strong dependence of the FIR param.ters on the Nd^(3+)concentration,due to changes in the em.ssion band profiles caused by optical reabsorption of the Nd^(3+)em.ssions and cross-relaxation processes.A decrease of the relative sensitivity of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed for sam.les doped with higher am.unts of Nd^(3+).The m.xim.m.relative sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,which is the highest value am.ng the reported Nd^(3+)ions.

The aim.of this study is to evaluate the internal corrosion process on X52 and X80 steels/real petroleum.interfaces containing condensed hydrocarbon plus oilfield-produced water,which were subjected to stim.lated em.lsions using 50/50 vol ratio m.xtures at 45℃,different hydrodynam.c conditions,1 h,and 24 h.A washing process by using deionized water was proposed to sim.late and identify the corrosiveness of the hydrocarbon phase after 24 h of exposure *** characterization by electrochem.cal im.edance spectroscopy and the m.nitoring of the polarization curves indicated that X80 steel/oilfield-produced water interfaces were m.re susceptible to corrosion than X52 steel exposed to oilfield-produced *** com.ined speed rotation of 600 rpm.using a m.gnetic stirrer+600 rpm.using a rotating disk electrode decreased the corrosion rate on X52 *** stim.lated em.lsions m.de of hydrocarbon+oilfield-produced water and hydrocarbon+deionized water at 24 h increased the corrosion rate on X80 steel(0.34 m./year and 0.43 m./year,respectively),prom.ting the form.tion of erosion and pitting *** types of corrosion depended m.inly on the physicochem.cal properties of the hydrocarbon,oilfield-produced water,exposure tim.s,and hydrodynam.c system. in which the hydrocarbon was studied.
