Microarray has become a popular biotechnology in biological and medical research. However, systematic and stochastic variabilities in microarray data are expected and unavoidable, resulting in the problem that the raw measurements have inherent “noise” within microarray experiments. Currently, logarithmic ratios are usually analyzed by various clustering methods directly, which may introduce bias interpretation in identifying groups of genes or samples. In this paper, a statistical method based on mixed model approaches was proposed for microarray data cluster analysis. The underlying rationale of this method is to partition the observed total gene expression level into various variations caused by different factors using an ANOVA model, and to predict the differential effects of GV （gene by variety） interaction using the adjusted unbiased prediction （AUP） method. The predicted GV interaction effects can then be used as the inputs of cluster analysis. We illustrated the application of our method with a gene expression dataset and elucidated the utility of our approach using an external validation.

Autoimmune hepatitis(AIH)is a chronic inflammatory liver disease that threatens human health *** aim of this study was to detect the protective effect of a fermented Lentinus edodes extract containingα-glucan(FLA),in a concanavalin A(Con A)-induced AIH mouse model and to determine the underlying liver-protective *** results showed that compared with the model group,the level of proinflammatory cytokines in serum of FLA pretreated mice was significantly decreased,and the degree of inflammatory cell infiltration in liver,thymus and spleen was significantly *** polymerase chain reaction,immunohistochemistry,and Western blotting showed that FLA pre-treatment inhibited the Con A-induced apoptosis of hepatocytes by down-regulating the expression of BAX and up-regulating the expression of *** research found that FLA may improve liver injury in mice by activating NRF2 signaling pathway and inhibiting TRAF6/NF-κB signaling ***,FLA may improve liver injury in mice by shifting gut microbial composition to reduce the release of inflammatory cytokines in the serum and prevent the necrosis of ***-regulation of NRF2 signaling pathway,down-regulation of TRAF6/NF-κB signaling pathway,and an increase in the relative abundance of Lactobacillus_johnsonii and Ligilactobacillus_murinus play a protective role in liver.

The crystallization of chiral molecules is of great significance to understand the origin and evolution of hierarchical chirality and reveal the relationships between structural chirality and circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)***,we report two pairs of chiral metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)(DCF-17/LCF-17,DCF-18/LCF-18)by utilizing tetradentate ligands tetra(3-imidazoylphenyl)ethylene(TIPE)and 4,4'-[4',5'-bis[4-(4-pyridinyl)phenyl][1,1':2',1”-terphenyl]-4,4”-diyl]bis[pyridine](TPPP)as *** can be observed that the spontaneous resolution of the achiral ligands is converted into the induced resolution,and the ligands form the absolute configuration by using enantiopure camphoric acid(cam)as chiral induced reagent(CIR).As a result,the racemate MOFs can be driven to generate absolute homochiral *** two achiral MOFs[Cd(D-cam)(TPPP)_(0.5)](AF-1,AF=achiral framework)and[Cd(L-cam)(TPPP)_(0.5)](AF-2)were *** position disorder of D/L-cam skeleton causes the generation of nonchiralization,further leading to disappearance of symmetry breaking of *** the perspective of structure,this is the first report which reveals the chiral transfer and nonchiralization between chiral induced agents and tetradentate ***,DCF-17 and LCF-17 show CPL with luminescence dissymmetry factor(glum)of–1.0×10^(-2)and+9.2×10^(–3),*** work provides the useful evidences to reveal the induced chiral crystallization and the construction of CPL-active crystalline materials.

Representing the next-generation technology in lithium-ion batteries,lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries offer increased specific energy without relying on scarce metals like nickel and cobalt,but suffer from a low practical specific energy due to poor conductivity and a short lifespan due to the shuttle effect of *** the confinement of polysulfides and the transport of lithium ions requires highly elaborate modifiers for *** multi-shelled structures(HoMSs)show promise as hierarchical mesostructures for separators,offering multiple shell layers and internal cavities that effectively inhibit polysulfide *** design of these structures is crucial to address these challenges *** this study,nitrogen-doped carbon HoMS(NC HoMS)was created using polymer templates through a precisely controlled polymerization *** featuring NC HoMS-modified separators exhibit improved capacity and cycling stability in comparison to those utilizing commercial ***,triple-shelled NC HoMS strikes a balance in polysulfide containment and lithium ion *** a sulfur loading of 6.34 mg/cm^(2),the Li-S battery can consistently complete 100 charge-discharge cycles,starting with a discharge capacity of 966.4 mA·h/g with a 75.8%capacity retention *** HoMS holds potential as the separator modifier in addressing the polysulfide shuttle problem and facilitating the Li-ion transportation for advanced Li-S batteries.
