The capacity to extract work from a quantum heat machine is not only of practical value but also lies at the heart of understanding quantum *** this paper,we investigate optimal work extraction for quantum systems with work storage,where extracting work is completed by a unitary evolution on the composite *** consider the physical requirement of energy conservation both strictly and on *** both,we construct their corresponding unitaries and propose variational quantum algorithms for optimal work *** show that maximal work extraction in general can be feasible when energy conservation is satisfied on *** demonstrate with numeral simulations using a continuous-variable work *** work show an implementation of a variational quantum computing approach for simulating work extraction in quantum systems.

Simulating the total ionizing dose(TID)of an electrical system using transistor-level models can be difficult and expensive,particularly for digital-integrated circuits(ICs).In this study,a method for modeling TID effects in complementary metaloxide semiconductor(CMOS)digital ICs based on the input/output buffer information specification(IBIS)was *** digital IC was first divided into three parts based on its internal structure:the input buffer,output buffer,and functional *** of these three parts was separately *** the IBIS model,the transistor V-I characteristic curves of the buffers were processed,and the physical parameters were extracted and modeled using *** the functional area,logic functions were modeled in VHDL according to the data sheet.A golden digital IC model was developed by combining the input buffer,output buffer,and functional area ***,the golden ratio was reconstructed based on TID experimental data,enabling the assessment of TID effects on the threshold voltage,carrier mobility,and time series of the digital *** experiments were conducted using a CMOS non-inverting multiplexer,NC7SZ157,and the results were compared with the simulation results,which showed that the relative errors were less than 2%at each dose *** confirms the practicality and accuracy of the proposed modeling *** TID effect model for digital ICs developed using this modeling technique includes both the logical function of the IC and changes in electrical properties and functional degradation impacted by TID,which has potential applications in the design of radiation-hardening tolerance in digital ICs.

Light-cone distribution amplitudes(LCDAs)are essential nonperturbative quantities for theoretical predictions of exclusive highenergy processes in quantum chromodynamics(QCD).We demonstrate the prospect of calculating LCDAs on a quantum computer by applying a recently proposed quantum algorithm,with staggered fermions,to the simulation of the LCDA in the(1+1)-dimensional Nambu-Jona-Lasinio(NJL)model on classical *** agreement between the result from the classical simulation of the quantum algorithm and that from exact diagonalization justifies the proposed quantum *** find that the resulting LCDA in the NJL model exhibits features shared with the LCDAs obtained from the QCD.

Solar-driven photo-thermal catalytic CO_(2)methanation reaction is a promising technology to alleviate the problems posed by greenhouse gases ***,designing advanced photo-thermal catalysts remains a research challenge for CO_(2)methanation *** this work,a series of Abo3(A=lanthanide,B=transition metal)perovskite catalysts with Ce-substituted LaNiO3(La1-xCexNiO3,x=0,0.2,0.5,0.8,1)were synthesized for CO_(2)*** La0.2Ce0.8NiO3 exhibited the highest CH4 formation rate of 258.9 mmol·g^(-1)·hcat-1,CO_(2)conversion of 55.4%and 97.2%CH4 selectivity at 300℃with the light intensity of 2.9 W·cm^(-2).Then the catalysts were thoroughly analyzed by physicochemical structure and optical properties *** partial substitution of the A-site provided more active sites for the adsorption and activation of CO_(2)/H_(2).The sources of the active sites were considered to be the oxygen vacancies(Ov)created by lattice distortions due to different species of ions(La^(3+),Ce^(4+),Ce^(3+))and exsolved Ni0 by H_(2)*** catalysts have excellent light absorption absorbance and low electron-hole(e-/h+)recombination rate,which greatly contribute to the excellent performance in photo-thermal synergistic catalysis(PTC)CO_(2)*** results of in situ irradiated electron paramagnetic resonance spectrometer(ISI-EPR)and ISI-X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)indicated that the aggregation of unpaired electrons near the defects and Ni metal(from La and Ce ions to Ov and Ni0)accelerated adsorption and activation of CO_(2)/H_(2).At last,the catalyst properties and structure were correlated with the proposed reaction mechanism from the in situ diffuse reflection infrared Fourier transform spectrum(DRIFTS)*** in situ precipitation of the B-site enhanced the dispersion of Ni,while its enriched photoelectrons upon illumination further promote hydrogen *** H^(*)spillover accelerated the rate-determining step(RDS)of H

The Ti_(p)/ZX60 composites with different Ti_(p) contents were prepared by semi-solid stirring *** extrusion,the microstructure,work hardening and softening behavior of the Ti_(p)/ZX60 composites were analyzed compared with the ZX60(Mg-6Zn-0.2Ca)*** results showed that the addition of Ti_(p) could not only promote the nucleation of dynamic recrystallized(DRXed)grains,but also be propitious to the refinement of DRXed *** increasing Ti_(p) content,the size of DRXed grains decreased accompanied with increasing volume fraction of DRXed *** the Ti_(p) content increased to 15 vol.%,the average size and volume fraction of DRXed grains reached to~0.32μm and 93.2%,***,both the strength and elongation were improved by the addition of Ti_(p).With increasing content of Ti_(p),a substantial increase in the strength was achieved with little change in the ***,the elongation decreased sharply when the Ti_(p) content further increased to 15 vol.%.The addition of Ti_(p) led to an increase in the work hardening rate,which gradually increased with increasing Ti_(p) ***,the softening rate did not demonstrate the same tendency with increasing Ti_(p) *** the conventional ceramic particles,the Ti_(p) can be deformed in coordination with the matrix alloy,which imparted a higher softening rate to the matrix *** though the softening rate improved as the Ti_(p) content increased from 5 to 10 vol.%,it dropped deeply as the Ti_(p) content increased to 15 vol.%owing to the fracture of Ti_(p) during extrusion.

Deflagration and detonation induced by shock wave focusing at different Mach numbers

Shock wave focusing is an effective way to create a hot spot or a high-pressure and hightemperature region at a certain place,showing its unique usage in detonation initiation,which is beneficial for the development of detonation-based *** flame propagation behavior after the autoignition induced by shock wave focusing is crucial to the formation and self-sustaining of the detonation *** this study,wedge reflectors with two different angles(60°and 90°)and a planar reflector are employed,and the Mach number of incident shock waves ranging from 2.0 to 2.8 is utilized to trigger different flame propagation *** pressure transducers and the high-speed schlieren imaging system are both employed to investigate the shock-shock collision and ignition *** results reveal a total of four flame propagation modes:deflagration,DDT(Deflagration-to-Detonation Transition),unsteady detonation,and direct *** detonation wave formed in the DDT and unsteady detonation mode is only approximately 75%-85%of the Chapman-Jouguet(C-J)speed;meanwhile,the directly induced detonation wave speed is close to the C-J *** waves,which are strong evidence for the existence of detonation waves,are discovered in *** usage of wedge reflectors significantly reduces the initial pressure difference ratio needed for direct detonation *** also provide a practical method for differentiating between detonation and deflagration modes,which involves contrasting the speed of the reflected shock wave with the speed of the theoretically nonreactive reflected shock *** findings should serve as a reference for the detonation initiation technique in advanced detonation propulsion engines.

Hand,foot,and mouth disease(HFMD)is a common pediatric illness mainly caused by enteroviruses,which are important human ***,there are no available antiviral agents for the therapy of enterovirus *** this study,an excellent high-content antiviral screening system utilizing the EV-A71-eGFP reporter virus was *** this screening system,we screened a drug library containing 1042 natural compounds to identify potential EV-A71 ***(FAN),a bis-benzylisoquinoline alkaloid,exhibits potential inhibitory effects against various enteroviruses that cause HFMD,such as EV-A71,CV-A10,CV-B3 and *** investigations revealed that FAN targets the early stage of the enterovirus life *** the selection of FAN-resistant EV-A71 viruses,we demonstrated that the VP1 protein could be a potential target of FAN,as two mutations in VP1(E145G and V258I)resulted in viral resistance to *** research suggests that FAN is an efficient inhibitor of EV-A71 and has the potential to be a broad-spectrum antiviral drug against human enteroviruses.

Passivity-based controllers are widely used to facilitate physical interaction between humans and elastic joint robots,as they enhance the stability of the interaction ***,the joint position tracking performance can be limited by the structures of these controllers when the system is faced with uncertainties and rough high-order system state measurements(such as joint accelerations and jerks).This study presents a variable structure passivity(VSP)control method for joint position tracking of elastic joint robots,which combines the advantages of passive control and variable structure *** method ensures the tracking error converges in a finite time,even when the system faces *** method also preserves the passivity of the ***,a cascaded observer,called CHOSSO,is also proposed to accurately estimate high-order system states,relying only on position and velocity *** observer allows independent implementation of disturbance compensation in the acceleration and jerk estimation *** particular,the observer has an enhanced ability to handle fast time-varying disturbances in physical human-robot *** effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulations and experiments on a lower limb rehabilitation robot equipped with elastic joints.
