Security-constrained Transmission Maintenance Optimization Considering Generation and Operational Risk Costs

With the large-scale integration of renewable energy,the traditional maintenance arrangement during the load valley period cannot satisfy the transmission demand of renewable energy ***,in a market-oriented operation mode,the power dispatching control center aims to reduce the overall power purchase cost while ensuring the security of the power ***,a security-constrained transmission maintenance optimization model considering generation and operational risk costs is proposed *** model is built on double-layer optimization framework,where the upper-layer model is used for maintenance and generation planning,and the lowerlayer model is primarily used to address the operational security risk arising from the random prediction error and N-1 transmission ***,a generation-maintenance iterative algorithm based on a defined cost feedback is included to increase solution *** cost is determined using long-term security-constrained unit commitment,and the operational risk cost is obtained using a double-layer N-1 risk assessment *** electrical correlation coupling coefficient is proposed for the solution process to avoid maintenance of associated equipment simultaneously,thereby improving model convergence *** IEEE 118-bus system is used as a test case for illustration,and test results suggest that the proposed model and algorithm can reduce the total cost of transmission maintenance and system operation while effectively improving the solution efficiency of the joint optimization model.

Recombinant adenovirus containing hyper-interleukin-6 and hepatocyte growth factor ameliorates acute-on-chronic liver failure in rats

AIM: To investigate the protective efficacy of recombinant adenovirus containing hyper-interleukin-6 (Hyper-IL-6, HIL-6) and hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) (Ad-HGF-HIL-6) compared to that of recombinant adenovirus containing either HIL-6 or HGF (Ad-HIL-6 or Ad-HGF) in rats with acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF).METHODS: The recombinant adenoviruses containing HIL-6 and/or HGF were constructed. We established an ACLF model, and rats were randomly assigned to control, model, Ad-GFP, Ad-HIL-6, Ad-HGF or Ad-HGF-HIL-6 group. We collected serum and liver tissue samples to test pathological changes, biochemical indexes and molecular biological ***: Attenuated alanine aminotransferase, prothrombin time, high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1), endotoxin, tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interferon-γ were observed in the Ad-HGF-, Ad-HIL-6- and Ad-HGF-HIL-6-treated rats with ACLF. Likewise, reduced hepatic damage and apoptotic activity, as well as reduced HMGB1 and Bax proteins, but raised expression of Ki67 and Bcl-2 proteins and Bcl-2/Bax ratio were also observed in the Ad-HGF-, Ad-HIL-6- and Ad-HGF-HIL-6-treated rats with ACLF. More significant changes were observed in the Ad-HGF-HIL-6 treatment group without obvious side effects. Furthermore, caspase-3 at the protein level decreased in the Ad-HIL-6 and Ad-HGF-HIL-6 treatment groups, more predominantly in the latter ***: This study identifies that the protective efficacy of Ad-HGF-HIL-6 is more potent than that of Ad-HGF or Ad-HIL-6 in ACLF rats, with no significant side effects.

Synergistic improvement of damping capacity and mechanical properties of magnesium alloy prepared with UHP technology

The contradictory relationship between the damping capacity and strength of metals, governed by dislocation mechanisms, poses a challenge in improving simultaneously through dislocation strengthening. Accordingly, exploring novel methods to synergistically enhance mechanical properties and damping capacity is designated as a focal research subject in recent years. The study at hand aims to tackle this challenge through the manipulation of microstructures in Mg-Y-Er-Zn-Zr alloy via ultra-high pressure(UHP) heat treatment, yielding Mg-based alloys of exceptionally lightweight with outstanding damping and mechanical characteristics. After UHP, a significant refinement in the alloy's grain size is observed, with the average grain size decreasing from 114 to 23 μm, accompanied by substantial introduction of dislocations into the matrix, along with the emergence of twin within the matrix. The tensile strength of M-6GPa-1000 alloy subjected to UHP treatment achieves 326 MPa, demonstrating a 95% increase compared to ordinary heat treatment alloys while maintaining an elongation of 11.9%.Additionally, the damping capacity value Q-1 of M-6GPa-1000 alloy treated with UHP during the low-strain zone is 0.03, exhibiting a threefold increase compared to that of the conventionally heat-treated alloy. Through UHP treatment, the alloy's microstructure is regulated, achieving a synergistic enhancement of strength and damping capacity. The study comprehensively analyzes the synergistic improvement of mechanical and damping characteristics in the alloy. The proposed UHP technology holds significant potential for the fabrication of advanced Mg-Re components.

Amperometric Hydrogen Peroxide Biosensor Based on Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes and Cadmium Sulfide Quantum Dots

A novel third-generation hydrogen peroxide（H2O2） biosensor（Hb/CdS/MWNTs/GCE） was fabricated through hemoglobin（Hb） adsorbed onto the mercaptoacetic acid modified CdS QDs/carboxyl multiwall carbon nanotubes＇（MWNTs） films. Cyclic voltammogram of Hb/CdS/MWNTs/GCE showed a pair of well-defined and quasi-reversible redox peaks with a formal potential（E^0） of-0.230 V（vs. Ag/AgCl） in 0.1 mol/L pH=8.0 phosphate buffer solution（PBS）, which was the characteristic of the Hb heme Fe（Ⅲ）/Fe（Ⅱ） redox couple. The biosensor shows an excellent electrocatalytic activity to the reduction of H2O2. The response time of the designed biosensor to H202 at a potential of-0.30 V was less than 2 s and linear relationships were obtained in the concentration ranges of 2.0×10^-6-2.7×10^-3 mol/L and 2.7×10^-3-7.7×10^-3 mol/L with a detection limit of 3.0×10^-7 mol/L（S/N=3）. The apparent Michaelis-Menten constant Km was estimated to be 1.324 mmol/L that illustrated the excellent biological activity of the fixed Hb.

Development and Characterization of an Electrochemical Sensor for Cinchonidine Detection Based on Molecularly Imprinted Polymer with Modified Rosin as Cross-linker

Molecularly imprinted polymers（MIPs） were applied as molecular recognition elements to an electro- chemical sensor for cinchonidine（CD）. A kind of MIP was synthesized with cinchonidine as template, modified ro- sin（ethylene glycol maleic rosinate acrylate） containing the skeleton of phenanthrene rings as cross-linker and me- thylacrylic acid as functional monomer. MIP membrane was prepared on a glassy carbon electrode for the determina- tion of CD via free radical polymerization method. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy（EIS） and cyclic vol- tammetry（CV） were used to characterize the membrane electrochemical behavior in electrode fabrication process. The experimental conditions were discussed. Under optimum conditions, it was found that the response of peak cur- rents was linear to the concentration of CD in a range of 0.013-2.26 mmol/L. The detection limit for CD is 1 μmol/L the relative standard deviation for 100 μmol/L CD is 1.34% and the incubation time is 2 min. The sensor was applied to the determination of CD in urine samples with satisfactory results.

Detection of protein-protein interaction can provide valuable information for investigating the biological function of *** current methods that applied in protein-protein interaction,such as co-immunoprecipitation and pull down etc.,often cause plenty of working time due to the burdensome cloning and puri-fication *** we established a system that characterization of protein-protein interaction was accomplished by co-expression and simply purification of target proteins from one expression cassette within *** *** modified pET vector into co-expression vector pInvivo which encoded PPV NIa protease,two cleavage site F and two multiple cloning sites that flanking cleavage *** target proteins(for example:protein A and protein B)were inserted at multiple cloning sites and translated into polyprotein in the order of MBP tag-protein A-site F-PPV NIa protease-site F-protein B-His6 *** NIa protease carried out intracellular cleavage along expression,then led to the separation of polyprotein components,therefore,the interaction between protein A-protein B can be detected through one-step purification and *** control for protein B was brought into this system for monitoring interaction *** successfully employed this system to prove two cases of reported protien-protein interaction:RHA2a/ANAC and FTA/*** conclusion,a convenient and efficient system has been successfully developed for detecting protein-protein interaction.

An uncertain energy planning model under carbon taxes

In this study, an interval fuzzy mixed-integer energy planning model （IFMI-EPM） is developed under considering the carbon tax policy. The developed IFMI- EPM incorporates techniques of interval-parameter programming, fuzzy planning and mixed-integer programming within a general energy planning model. The IFMIEPM can not only be used for quantitatively analyzing a variety of policy scenarios that are associated with different levels of carbon tax policy, but also tackle uncertainties expressed as discrete intervals and fuzzy sets in energy and environment systems. Considering low, medium and high carbon tax rates, the model is applied to an ideal energy and environment system. The results indicate that reasonable solutions have been generated. They can be used for generating decision alternatives and thus help decision makers identify desired carbon tax policy.
