Sinistral portal hypertension associated with pancreatic pseudocysts - ultrasonography findings: A case report

BACKGROUND Sinistral portal hypertension associated with pancreatic pseudocysts is rare,often caused by extrinsic compression of splenic vein,the follow-up examinations by ultrasonography for early diagnosis are quietly necessary since haematemesis,a life-threatening *** studies have reported the ultrasonography findings of sinistral portal *** SUMMARY A 52-year-old man presented with acute abdominal pain after drinking,steatorrhea,weight loss and accidentally melena in the past 2 *** underwent ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration in other hospital and diagnosed with pancreatic *** imaging,in our department,appeared as cystic heterogeneous hypoechoic area with the size of 4.7 cm×3.8 cm that located posterior to the body and tail of pancreas,adjacent to splenic vein associated with thrombosis resulted from *** incrassated to approximately 7.3 cm,but no dilation of main portal vein was *** Doppler Flow Imaging demonstrated the formation of splenic venous collateral,nevertheless no significantly flow signals was observed in splenic *** Doppler revealed that the peak velocity of splenic venous collateral was 18.4 cm/s with continuous *** confirmed sinistral portal hypertension associated with pancreatic pseudocysts,subsequently distal pancreatectomy combined with splenectomy and partial gastrectomy was *** It’s important clinically to know the ultrasound appearance of sinistral portal hypertension associated with pancreatic pseudocysts for sonographer and physician.

Red tilapia(Oreochromis spp.)is one of the most popular fish in China due to its bright red appearance,fast growth rate,and strong *** the sex determination mechanisms is of vital importance for the selection of all-male lines to increase aquacultural production of red *** this research,the genetic architecture for sex from four mapping populations(n=1090)of red tilapia was analyzed by quantitative trait loci(QTL)-seq,linkage-based QTL mapping,and linkage disequilibrium(LD)-based genome-wide association *** genome-wide significant QTL intervals associated with sex were identified on ChrLG1(22.4-23.9 Mb)and ChrLG23(32.0-35.9 Mb),*** QTL on ChrLG1 was detected in family 1(FAM1),FAM2,and FAM4,and the other QTL on ChrLG23 was detected in FAM3 and *** microsatellite markers located within the QTL were successfully developed for marker-assisted ***,three(Ipp,sox14,and amh)of the 12 candidate genes located near or on the two QTL intervals were abundantly expressed in males,while the remaining genes were more highly expressed in *** genes(scly,ube3a,Ipp,gpr17,oca2,cog4,and atp10a)were significantly differentially expressed between the male and female ***,LD block analysis suggested that a cluster of genes on ChrLG23 may participate in regulating sex development in red *** study provides important information on the genetic architecture of sex in red tilapia and should facilitate further exploration of sex determination mechanisms in this species.

Aqueous-phase reactions of organic compounds are an important source of secondary organic aerosol（SOA）（Ervens 2011）. Laboratory studies focused mostly on small aldehydes such as glyoxal（De Haan 2009;Tan 2009） as precursors, and on pinene oxidation products（Lee 2011）. We showed experimental results of aqueous-phase reactions of a semi-volatile and slightly water soluble methoxy-phenol from biomass burning, vanillin（C8H8O3）. Reactions were performed in a vessel（Lee 2011） with UV（254 nm） irradiation under two conditions:（1） photochemical oxidation with H2O2 as an OH radical source;and（2） direct photolysis without H2O2 added. Solution of the resulted products, as well as the ammonium sulfate added（Lee 2011）, was atomized continuously and dried before on-line analyses. An Aerodyne High-resolution Time-of-Flight Aerosol Mass Spectrometer（HR-To F-AMS） was used to measure the dried particle compositions, and a Hygroscopic Tandem Differential Mobility Analyzer（HTDMA） and a Cloud Condensation Nuclei counter（CCNc） were used to determine the particle growth factor and CCN activity respectively. Withou UV irradiation, most of vanillin evaporated to the gas phase during drying and gave negligible organic mass in particles（Figure 1, before time ＜ 0 min）. A large amount of SOA was formed and retained after reactions under both conditions, although products might be different under these two conditions according to HR-To F-AMS characterization（Figure 1）. Off-line analyses by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry（LC-MS） and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry（GC-MS） also confirmed that the product identities from these two conditions are different. Organic mass first increased rapidly and then decreased under condition（1）, but kept increasing slowly under condition（2）, as shown in Figure 1A and 1C, respectively. Buried interface bridging for inverted cesium-formamidinium triiodide perovskite solar cells with long operational stability

In the field of perovskite solar cells(PSCs), the research on defects in the buried interface has been relatively limited due to its non-exposure; however, this interface significantly impacts the performance enhancement of inverted PSCs. This study employs phenylethylammonium chloride(PEACl) molecules as a buffer layer to modify the buried interface of p-i-n structured PSCs,aiming to enhance the uniformity of self-assembled monolayers(SAMs) and facilitate the uniform nucleation and growth of perovskite films on the substrate. Furthermore, the introduction of the PEACl buffer layer effectively passivates defects at the bottom of the perovskite layer and notably enhances the crystal quality of the perovskite film by mitigating residual stress,thereby reducing nonradiative recombination loss. Following these optimizations, the MA-free PSCs treated with PEACl achieve a power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 24.11%, with significant improvements in storage, thermal stability, and operational stability. Particularly noteworthy is the device's performance in an unencapsulated state, whereas after 1,500 hours of continuous light operation stability testing, it retains 97% of its original efficiency. This study not only enriches the systematic understanding of the characteristics of the buried interface in PSCs but also contributes significantly to advancing the commercial production of perovskite photovoltaic technology.
