Among t.e monos.bs.it.t.d aromat.c, t.e chlorobenzene was.t.e mos. t.xic wit. 50% of inhibit.on occurring at.t.e concent.at.on of 30.08 mg/l. In cont.as., benzoic acid is.t.e leas. inhibit.ry wit. t.e pres.nt.s.udy was.carried out.wit. t.e aim of evaluat.ng t.e chemical compos.t.on and bioact.vit. of Uvariodendron molundens. agains. s.ckle cell dis.as. and as.ociat.d pat.ogenic bact.ria agent.0} t.e ant.s.ckling and ant.bact.rial act.vit.es.were as.es.ed us.ng Emmel and micro-dilut.on met.ods.res.ect.vely. t.e res.lt.0}revealed t.at.t.e leaves.and s.em bark of U. molundens. cont.ins.various.s.condary met.bolit.s.s.ch as.t.t.l phenols. flavonoids. ant.ocyanins. t.nnins. quinones. s.ponins. alkaloids. s.eroids. t.rpenoids.and leuco-ant.ocyanins. t.e n-hexane (non-polar s.lvent. ext.act.dis.layed poor yield (0.66) t.an t.e ext.act.0}obt.ined in t.e polar s.lvent.0}which have a high yield (Met.anol: 1.68, Et.anol: 1.46 and Et.yl acet.t.: 1.40). t.es. res.lt.0}indicat. t.at.t.e abundant.s.condary met.bolit.s.compounds.in t.is.plant.s.ecies.are t.os. which pas. eas.ly t.rough t.e polar s.lvent.0}(met.anol, et.anol and et.yl acet.t.). t.is.is.t.e cas. of phyt.markers.like flavonoids.and t.nnins.(which are mos. concent.at.d in met.anol) and ant.ocyanins.which are concent.at.d in et.yl acet.t.. t.e ext.act.on yield of organic/t.it.rpenoic acids.(bet.linic acid rich ext.act. was.1.70%. All t.s.ed ext.act.0}dis.layed ant.s.ckling act.vit.. At.100 μg/mL, t.e rat.s.of normalizat.on were 89% for organic ext.act.(ED50 = 0.391 μg/ml) and 82% for ant.ocyanins.ext.act.(ED50 = 0.659 μg/mL). t.e ant.bact.rial act.vit. of t.s.ed ext.act.0}was.very good t.ward s.aphyloccocus.areus.(CMI ≤ 31.25 μg/mL) while, for Es.herichia coli, only t.e organic ext.act.exhibit.int.res.ing act.vit.
