Self-assembled nanowire systems on silicon surface become increasingly interesting from the point of view of nanoelectronics, which look for non-lithographics ways of creating nanometer scale components and their interconnections. Co-depostion of metals of groups III and IV on the Si（100）-2×1 surface results in formation of 1D atomic chains [1]. Mixing of two metals is attractive due to a possibility of tunning properties of nanostructures by changing their composition. While chains composed of homogeneous dimers （dimers composed of the same metal atoms） are not conductive, it is expected that chains of heterogeneous dimers （composed of two different metal atoms） could exhibit interesting electronic properties [2,3] due to odd number of electrons per dimer. In case of In-Sn chains it has been shown, that there is no demixition into pure Sn and pure In chains. However, from STM images was not possible to distinguish, whether observed structures are chains of alternated homogeneous In-In and Sn-Sn dimers or chains of antisymmetric heterogeneous dimers [1]. In this contribution we present a STM/STS study of In-Sn and Al-Sn atomic chains on Si（100）-2×1 surface. The mechanism of formation of bimetallic nanowires, their dynamics and electronic properties related to the structure will be discussed. Especially identification of heterogeneous dimers will be addressed. We utilise a method of scanning tunneling spectroscopy and dI/dV （LDOS） mapping to characterize local electronic structure of bimetallic chains and to distinguish different dimers in chains.

phylogenomic datasets continue to enhance our understanding of evolutionary relationships in many lineages of ***,genome-scale data have not been widely implemented in reconstructing relationships in lichenized *** we generate a data set comprised of 2556 single-copy protein-coding genes to reconstruct previously unresolved rela-tionships in the most diverse family of lichen-forming fungi,*** sampling included 51 taxa,mainly from the subfamily parmelioideae,and represented six of the seven previously identified major clades within the *** results provided strong support for the monophyly of each of these major clades and most backbone relationships in the topology were recovered with high nodal support based on concatenated dataset and species tree *** alectorioid clade was strongly supported as sister-group to all remaining clades,which were divided into two major *** the first major clade the anzioid and usneoid clades formed a strongly supported sister-group relationship with the cetrarioid?hypogymnioid *** sister-group relationship of Evernia with the cetrarioid clade was also strongly supported,whereas that between the anzioid and usneoid clades needs further *** the second major clade Oropogon and platismatia were sister to the parmelioid group,while the position of Omphalora was not fully *** study demonstrates the power of genome-scale data sets to resolve long-standing,ambiguous phylogenetic rela-tionships of lichen-forming ***,the topology inferred in this study will provide a valuable framework for better understanding diversification in the most diverse lineage of lichen-forming fungi,parmeliaceae.

The aims of this study were to determine the meiotic behavior and to estimate pollen grains via-bility in bean(phaseolus vulgaris L.)*** buds were collected during different developmental stages of the Mesoamerican bean cultivars IApAR 44,Guapo Brilhante,BRS Expedito,BRS Valente,Guateian 6662 and pérola,and the Andean bean cultivar Iraí,grown in a *** meiotic index was determined by anther squashing of material fixed in absolute ethanol-glacial acetic acid(3:1)and stained with acetic *** meiotic abnormalities were observed and the meiotic indices were high for all cultivars,indicating that the mismatch generated during crosses is not related to any meiotic *** of pollen viability was made by comparing acetic orcein staining ***’s reactive:pollen viability was high in all cultivars with either stain,but was significantly higher when using the acetic orcein stain(>99%).Though some cultivar showed a significantly smaller pollen size,the range of variation among cultivars was low(means’range 51-66μm).

Characteristics of Contraceptive Use in So paulo State,Brazil

Objective To know the characteristics of contraceptive use in Sao paulo State collected by the Demographic and Health Survey （DHS） conducted in 1996. Methods Data of Sao paulo in 1996 were analyzed compared with the previous DHS carried on in 1986focusing on Sao paulo State. Contraceptive use among married or cohabiting women by age, number of children and schooling was closely examined. Age and timing of female sterilization were also analyzed. Results The results showed that unlike Brazil there was a stability of female sterilization in Sao paulo State during 1986 and 1996. There was a pattern in Sao paulo： up to 30 years old the pill was the most used contraceptive, after 30 there was a predominance of female sterilization, which increased with the number of children and decreased with schooling. The use of male methods had also increased in the 1986 and 1996 period, being greater in Sao paulo than in Brazil. Sao paulo also presented more diversity in the use of reversible contraceptives. Conclusions The predominant two contraceptive methods in Brazil and Sao paulo changed from 1986 to 1996, i.e..from pill to female sterilization.

Azospirillum brasilense is a well known plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium. plant cell growth is constrained by the primary cell wall (CW) which contains polysaccharide-bound hydroxycinammic acids (HCAs). They derive from phenylpropanoid metabolism, which first step is the reaction catalyzed by phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (pAL;EC 4.***.1.24). Also CW peroxidases (FApOD;EC 1.***.1.7) play a key role in the stiffening of the CW, and in the cessation of cell elongation. Knowledge of the biochemical effects the bacteria could elicit into plant CW and how these responses could change the hypocotyl physiology still remains scarce. The objective of this work was to unravel the effects of A. brasilense Sp245 inoculation on HCAs of the primary CW in apical and basal segments of cucumber seedlings hypocotyls. Azospirillum inoculation increased hypocotyls’ length. Transferulate and p-coumarate were the major HCAs. Dimmers were detected only in the basal region of 13- and 15-d-old hypocotyls. The ratio t-ferulate/dimmer (an inverse index of CW cross-linking) was five times higher in inoculated seedlings. Enzyme activities determined were not directly involved in HCAs content changes. It was previously reported that the CW was a target for A. brasilense growth promotion. This work corroborates that the phenolics, FA, DFA, and p-coumarate bound to the CW are also involved in Azospirillum plant growth promoting strategies.

AIM:To evaluate the effects of tenofovir disoproxil fumarate(TDF)use during late pregnancy to reduce hepatitis B virus(HBV)transmission in highly viremic ***:This retrospective study included 45 pregnant patients with hepatitis B e antigen(+)chronic hepatitis B and HBV DNA levels>107copies/mL who received TDF 300 mg/d from week 18 to 27 of gestation(n=21).Untreated pregnant patients served as controls(n =24).All infants received 200 IU of hepatitis B immune globulin(HBIG)within 24 h postpartum and 20μg of recombinant HBV vaccine at 4,8,and 24 *** transmission rate was determined by hepatitis B surface antigen and HBV DNA results in infants at week ***:At week 28,none of the infants of TDFtreated mothers had immunoprophylaxis failure,whereas2(8.3%)of the infants of control mothers had immunoprophylaxis failure(p=0.022).There were no differences between the groups in terms of adverse events in mothers or congenital deformities,gestational age,height,or weight in *** postpartum week 28,significantly more TDF-treated mothers had levels of HBV DNApies/mL and normalized alanine aminotransferase compared with controls(62%vs none,pp=0.012,respectively).CONCLUSION:TDF therapy during the second or third trimester reduced perinatal transmission rates of HBV and no adverse events were observed in mothers or infants.

We describe key production-related traits of trahira(Hoplias malabaricus),an aquaculture candidate species,in a semi-intensive fish farming *** quantified growth from hatch through grow-out at two stocking densities and evaluated fillet protein,lipids and fatty-acid *** made 2430 observations of growth and morphometrics on 270 juvenile fish allocated to four fish ponds,two at 5 fish/m^(2)(90 animals)and two at 10 fish/m^(2)(180 animals)through 11 *** fish reached an average length of 27.5 cm(±0.38)and 27.0 cm(±0.24),and weight of 263.0 g(±10.54)and 246.7 g(±6.89),respectively,at the low and high *** was no significant difference in weight(p>0.05)between the densities for any of the parameters assessed,and hence the same growth curve applied to both densities(A=292.9;B=28.1;and K=0.65).Standard length,however,differed significantly(ppids increased throughout the trial,while protein content *** acid(C18:0)increased throughout the experimental period,while docosahexaenoic acid and the n3/n6 profile decreased,with no differences among stocking *** malabaricus may prove a viable aquaculture species in Neotropical regions,where development of native species may contribute to sustainable aquaculture production.

目的探讨血清中期因子(MK)、总胆红素(TB)在糖尿病视网膜病变(DR)中的诊断价值。方法将148例T2DM患者按照是否出现DR分为糖尿病无DR组(NDR)50例、非增殖性DR组(NpDR)52例和增殖性DR组(pDR)46例,评价MK和TB在DR中的诊断价值。结果各组年龄、性别、BMI、FpG、HbA_1c、TG、TC、LDL-C、HDL-C、SBp、DBp比较,差异无统计学意义(p>0.05);各组病程、尿白蛋白/肌酐比(UAlb/Cr)、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、丙二醛(MDA)、晚期氧化蛋白产物(AOpp)、MK、TB和直接胆红素(DB)比较,差异有统计学意义(ppDR组和NpDR组病程、UAlb/Cr、MDA、AOpp、MK高于NDR组(pppDR组病程、UAlb/Cr、MDA、AOpp、MK高于NpDR组(ppDR组(ppp、MK为DR的危险因素(OR值为1.36、1.71、1.27、1.65、2.35,ppp<0.05]。结论 DR可能与体内MK升高、TB下降有关,MK联合TB对DR的诊断效能优于MK、TB单一指标。

Fully printed perovskite solar cells(pSCs)were fabricated in air with all constituent layers,except for electrodes,deposited by the blade coating *** pSCs incorporated,for the first time,a nanometer-thick printed bathocuproine(BCp)hole blocking buffer using blade coating and deposited at relative humidity up to 50%.The pSCs with a p-i-n structure(glass/indium tin oxide(ITO)/poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)polystyrene sulfonate(pEDOT:pSS)/CH_(3)NH_(3)pbl_(3)/[6,6]-phenyl-C_(61)-butyric acid methyl ester(pCBM)/BCp/Ag)delivered a maximum power conversion efficiency(pCE)of 14.9%on an active area of 0.5 cm^(2)when measured under standard test *** pSCs with a blade coated BCp delivered performance of 10%and 63%higher(in relative terms)than those incorporating a spin coated BCp or without any BCp film,*** atomic force microscopy(AFM)showed that blade coated films were more homogeneous and acted also as a surface planarizer leading to a reduction of roughness which improved BCp/Ag interface lowering charge *** demonstration of 15%efficient devices with all constituent layers,including nanometer-thick BCp(〜10 nm),deposited by blade coating in air,demonstrates a route for industrialization of this technology.
