Aslanger’s sign,also known as the arterial pulse tapping artifact or electromechanical association artifact,is an electrocardiographic artifact caused by arterial pulsation at the site where the limb leads of the standard 12-lead electrocardiogram near the radial or posterior tibial arteries are positioned,particularly in hyperdynamic states.[1–8]It occurs in every cardiac cycle with a constant coupling interval between the QRS complex and artifact.This synchronization with the underlying heart rhythm makes it less likely to be recognized as an artifact compared to unsynchronized artifacts,such as those caused by limb movement and inadequate contact between the electrode and skin.[1,2,7,8]Almost all reported cases of Aslanger’s sign exhibit an unusual waveform morphology in all 12 leads except one of the standard 12-lead electrocardiogram.This sign is often confused with an electrocardiographic finding commonly observed during acute coronary events.

A series of undrained triaxial tests was conducted to investigate the effect of crushed mudstone with the immersion-induced degradation on the liquefaction and post-liquefaction properties,and the undrained shearing behavior without precedent cyclic-loading histories of sands containing crushed mudstone.The tested materials with a main particle diameter of 2-0.85 mm were prepared by mixing sands and crushed mudstone to reach the prescribed mudstone content defined by dry mass ranging from 0% to 50%.The mixtures were subjected to immersion under a certain stress level and were subsequently tested.In addition,one-dimensional compression tests were also supplementally performed to visually observe the immersion-induced degradation of crushed mudstone.The test results mainly showed that: (1) the liquefaction resistance,the post-liquefaction undrained strength,and the undrained strength without a precedent cyclic-loading history decreased significantly with increasing mudstone content,M c ,up to 20%;(2) even a small amount of crushed mudstone affected these strengths;(3) the above-mentioned large reductions in the strengths were attributed to the immersion-induced degradation of crushed mudstone;(4) at M_(c) >20%,the liquefaction resistance increased while the significant increase in the undrained static strengths with and without precedent cyclic-loading histories was not observed;and (5) the increase in the liquefaction resistance at M_(c) >20% may have been attributed to both the gradual increase in the plasticity and the formation of the soil aggregates among deteriorated crushed mudstone,while the increase in the specimen density did not play an important role in such behavior.

Bone marrow stromal cell （BMSC） transplantation therapy is a promising approach for treating spinal cord injury （SCI）, based on a number of experimental and clinical reports （Wright et al., 2011）. BMSCs are a source of neuroregenerative somatic stem cells that are without the potential for tumorigenicity. Although clinical studies of autologous BMSC transplantation have been reported in Asia （fiang et al., 2013; Yoon et al., 2007）, in Japan, it is currently an uncommon procedure and highly controversial as well. This perspective paper provides an overview of the clinical effectiveness of BMSC trans- 191antation and a proposal to enhance its use as a viable therapy.

The nonlinear activation functions in the deep CNN(Convolutional Neural Network)based on fluid dynamics are presented.We propose two types of activation functions by applying the so-called parametric softsign to the negative region.We use significantly the well-known TensorFlow as the deep learning framework.The CNN architecture consists of three convolutional layers with the max-pooling and one fullyconnected softmax layer.The CNN approaches are applied to three benchmark datasets,namely,MNIST,CIFAR-10,and CIFAR-100.Numerical results demonstrate the workability and the validity of the present approach through comparison with other numerical performances.

Loss of apico-basal polarity is one of the crucial factors that drives epithelial tumor progression, scribbleldiscs largellethal giant larvae （scrib/dlg/lgl）, a group of apico-basal polarity genes, were initially identified as members of ＂neoplastic＂ tumor-suppressors in flies. The components of the Hippo signaling pathway, which is crucial for organ size control and cancer development, were also identified through Drosophila genetic screens as members of ＂hyperplastic＂ tumor-suppressors. Accumulating evidence in recent studies implies that these two tumor-suppressor signaling pathways are not mutually exclusive but rather cooperatively act to give rise to highly malignant tumors. 目的:对影响1500m跑速的各机械变量及赛后血乳酸浓度进行相关分析。方法:以11名男子中长跑选手为研究对象,通过视频分析与血乳酸浓度测试,获取选手各机械变量及赛后血乳酸浓度值。结果:步幅与速度间呈显著相关性(r=0.805,P<0.01)。赛后血乳酸浓度峰值与比赛成绩无显著相关性。L3区间速度与血乳酸浓度峰值呈显著相关性(r=0.608,P<0.05)。各区间变量分配在L3区间速度、步频、身体垂直刚度最小,重心位移最大;L4区间步幅、最大地面反作用力、腾空时间最小,接地时间最大。结论:步幅对选手节奏影响显著。第三区间乳酸堆积及机械变量薄弱是导致选手比赛中、后程速度降低的主要原因。

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is the most common type of primary liver cancer, and the second most common cause of cancer deaths worldwide. The top three causes of HCC are hepatitis B virus(HBV),hepatitis C virus(HCV), and alcoholic liver disease. Owing to recent advances in direct-acting antiviral agents, HCV can now be eradicated in almost all patients. HBV infection and alcoholic liver disease are expected, therefore, to become the leading causes of HCC in the future. However, the association between alcohol consumption and chronic hepatitis B in the progression of liver disease is less well understood than with chronic hepatitis C. The mechanisms underlying the complex interaction between HBV and alcohol are not fully understood, and enhanced viral replication, increased oxidative stress and a weakened immune response could each play an important role in the development of HCC. It remains controversial whether HBV and alcohol synergistically increase the incidence of HCC. Herein, we review the currently available literature regarding the interaction of HBV infection and alcohol consumption on disease progression.

Noninvasive assessment of liver fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B

Infection with hepatitis B virus is an important healthproblem worldwide:it affects more than 350 millionpeople and is a leading cause of liver-related morbidity,accounting for 1 million deaths annually.Hepatic fibrosis is a consequence of the accumulation of extracellular matrix components in the liver.An accurate diagnosis of liver fibrosis is essential for the management of chronic liver disease.Liver biopsy has been considered the gold standard for diagnosing disease,grading necroinflammatory activity,and staging fibrosis.However,liver biopsy is unsuitable for repeated evaluations because it is invasive and can cause major complications,including death.Several noninvasive evaluations have been introduced for the assessment of liver fibrosis:serum biomarkers,combined indices or scores,and imaging techniques including transient elastography,acoustic radiation force impulse,real-time tissue elastography,and magnetic resonance elastography.Here,we review the recent progress of noninvasive assessment of liver fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B.Most noninvasive evaluations for liver fibrosis have been validated first in patients with chronic hepatitis C,and later in those with chronic hepatitis B.The establishment of a noninvasive assessment of liver fibrosis is urgently needed to aid in the management of this leading cause of chronic liver disease.

Objective The Japan Coma Scale(JCS)is widely used in clinical practice to evaluate levels of consciousness in Japan.There have been several studies on the usefulness of JCS in adults.However,its usefulness in evaluating children has not been reported.Therefore,this study aimed to assess the usefulness of the JCS for the prediction of mortality in children.Methods This is a multicenter cohort study which used data from a national trauma registry(Japan Trauma Data Bank).This study included patients under 16 years of age who were treated between 2004 and 2015.The primary outcome measure was in-hospital mortality.Two models were used to examine each item of the Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS)and the JCS.Model A included the discrete levels of each index.In model B,data regarding age,sex,vital signs on arrival to hospital,the Injury Severity Score,and blunt trauma were added to each index.The effectivity of the JCS score was then evaluated using the area under the curve(AUC)for discrimination,a calibration plot,and the Hosmer-Lemeshow test for calibration.Results A total of 9045 patients were identified.The AUCs of the GCS and JCS were 0.929(95%confidence interval(CI)0.904 to 0.954)and 0.930(95%CI 0.906 to 0.954)in model A and 0.975(95%CI 0.963 to 0.987)and 0.974(95%CI 0.963 to 0.985)in model B,respectively.The results of the Hosmer-Lemeshow test were 0.00(p=1.00)and 0.00(p=1.00)in model A and 4.14(p=0.84)and 8.55(p=0.38)in model B for the GCS and JCS,respectively.Conclusions We demonstrated that the JCS is as valid as the GCS for predicting mortality.The findings of this study indicate that the JCS is a useful and relevant tool for pediatric trauma care and future research.
