Polypore funga and species diversity in tropical forest ecosystems of Africa,America and Asia,and a comparison with temperate and boreal regions of the Northern Hemisphere

Polypores play a cru cial role in energy recycling and forest regeneration in forest *** majority of them are wood degraders;some are forest pathogens and others are ectomycorrhizal *** basidiocarps provide food and shelter for many organisms,mostly invertebrates,but also some vertebrates,as well as food and medicine for *** extensive research on the species diversity and phylogenetic relationships of polypores in recent years,there remains a lack of comprehensive understanding of their distribution patterns and species composition at the large *** of polypores from the tropical zone,including tropical Africa,tropical America,and tropical Asia,were analyzed for species diversity,distribution patterns,major taxa,and nutritional modes.A total of 1,902 polypore species was found in the three regions,representing 8 orders,46families,and 250 genera of *** orders Polyporales(especially the family Polyporaceae)and Hymenochaetales(especially the family Hymenochaetaceae)had the most prolific taxa,with their species accounting for 93.4%of the total polypores *** of 1,565(or 82.3%)of the total 1,902 species were found in only one of the three regions studied,and we treat them temporarily as"regional endemic species".Only 141species were shared among all three regions,accounting for a mere 7.4%.Tropical Africa and tropical America had the greatest number of shared species and the highest S?rensen similarity index(SC)*** forests had a higher species richness compared with temperate to boreal forests of the Northern Hemisphere,and in addition,also a higher proportion of white rot polypores compared to brown rot and ectomycorrhizal *** study outlines the distribution patterns and species diversity of polypores in the world,shedding light on their ecological significance in diverse ecosystems.

Influence of filler characteristics on particle removal in fluid catalytic cracking slurry under an alternating electric field

The characteristics of the packing material under an alternating electric field are an important factor in the removal of FCCS *** this study,the electric field distribution of a separation unit consisting of packed spheres under an alternating electric field is simulated,and the movement mechanism of catalyst particles is ***"effective contact point"model is derived to predict the adsorption of filler contact points on catalyst particles under the alternating electric field,and the model is validated by simulations and *** numerical calculation and experimental results indicate that the electrical properties of the filler spheres,the filler angleθ,and the frequency f of the alternating electric field affect the adsorption of catalyst *** the frequency of the electric field increases,the particle removal efficiency of the high-conductivity filler(silicon carbide)increases and then settles,and the separation efficiency of the low-conductivity filler(glass,zirconia)is not sensitive to the change in electric field frequency.

The Impact of Sulfur Fertilizer Concentration on the Nutrient Concentration of Parts of the Soybean Plant

Soybean is a crucial crop utilized for both food and oil production,with balanced crop nutrition being a key determinant of soybean yield throughout its growth ***,an essential nutrient for crop growth,substantially impacts soybean *** this study,two soybean cultivars,Laidou 2 and Hefeng 55,were used to study the changes in nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium,and sulfur contents in soybean plants at different growth ***,the effects of dry matter accumulation under five different sulfur levels were *** results showed that the sulfur levels had varying effects on the nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium,and sulfur contents and accumulation in different parts of the soybean *** were marked differences in the accumulation and distribution of dry matter in different parts of the soybean *** dry matter weight shows the best overall performance under the S80 *** increasing sulfur nutrition,the nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium,and sulfur contents in various plant parts exhibited an unimodal trend,reaching maximum values when the sulfur content was 80 mg/*** study elucidates the dynamic changes in nutrient elements in soybeans under different sulfur levels and is important in guiding the rational application of sulfur fertilizers in agricultural production.

Hexagonal boron nitride based slippery liquid infused porous surface with anti-corrosion, anti-contaminant and anti-icing properties for protecting magnesium alloy

In an era where the concept of green development is deeply rooted, magnesium(Mg) alloy as a light metal has a long-term development prospect in the process of energy saving, emission reduction and environmental improvement. However, anti-corrosion performance of Mg alloy is poor due to the high chemical activity and low equilibrium potential, which limits the development of Mg alloy ***, three-dimensional mesopore hollow polypyrrole spheres(MHPS) were prepared, and the MHPS was inserted into the middle of the stacked hexagon boron nitride(h-BN) lamellae, which allowed the hBN to be separated forming a further composite with abundant pore structure. Subsequently, the MHPS/hBN-OH composite was uniformly sprayed on the Mg alloy surface via simple spraying method to form the superhydrophobic surface(SHS). Finally, the slippery liquid infused porous surface(SLIPS) was successfully fabricated by applying drops of silicone lubricant on the superhydrophobic coating surface. After a series of characterization and testing, the results showed that the stacking of h-BN lamellae was significantly reduced after h-BN was successfully embedded by MHPS. In addition, the fabricated SLIPS have excellent self-cleaning, mechanical stability, anti-icing and anti-corrosion properties. Therefore, the method of embedding polymer microspheres not only offers a new strategy for h-BN exfoliation, but also the successful prepared SLIPS largely retards the corrosion of Mg alloy while providing new ideas for the development of SLIPS.

Response of vegetation variation to climate change and human activities in the Shiyang River Basin of China during 2001-2022

Understanding the response of vegetation variation to climate change and human activities is critical for addressing future conflicts between humans and the environment,and maintaining ecosystem ***,we aimed to identify the determining factors of vegetation variation and explore the sensitivity of vegetation to temperature(SVT)and the sensitivity of vegetation to precipitation(SVP)in the Shiyang River Basin(SYRB)of China during *** climate data from climatic research unit(CRU),vegetation index data from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS),and land use data from Landsat images were used to analyze the spatial-temporal changes in vegetation indices,climate,and land use in the SYRB and its sub-basins(i.e.,upstream,midstream,and downstream basins)during *** regression analysis and correlation analysis were used to explore the SVT and SVP,revealing the driving factors of vegetation *** increasing trends(P<0.05)were detected for the enhanced vegetation index(EVI)and normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)in the SYRB during 2001-2022,with most regions(84%)experiencing significant variation in vegetation,and land use change was determined as the dominant factor of vegetation ***-significant decreasing trends were detected in the SVT and SVP of the SYRB during *** were spatial differences in vegetation variation,SVT,and *** NDVI and EVI exhibited increasing trends in the upstream,midstream,and downstream basins,the change slope in the downstream basin was lower than those in the upstream and midstream basins,the SVT in the upstream basin was higher than those in the midstream and downstream basins,and the SVP in the downstream basin was lower than those in the upstream and midstream *** and precipitation changes controlled vegetation variation in the upstream and midstream basins while human activities(land use change)dominated vegetation variation in the d

Supplementation of alanine improves biomass accumulation and lipid production of Chlorella pyrenoidosa by increasing the respiratory and metabolic processes

Global trend of nondrug and nonsedativehypnotic treatment forinsomnia: a bibliometric study

OBJECTIVE: To present a bibliometric analysis of global scientific publications on the nondrug and nonsedative hypnotic treatment of insomnia with regard to influential institutions, publications, countries, research hotspots,trends, and frontiers. METHODS: A literature review was conducted by searching the Web of Science Core Collection(Wo SCC) and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) databases to identify all publications related to the nondrug and nonsedative hypnotic treatment of insomnia from 2000 to 2021. Eligible publications were reviewed, including annual publication increments, citation analyses, international collaborations, and keyword analyses. The data were analysed using Cite Space(vers5.8.R3, 6.1.R2 and 6.1.6, College of Computing and Informatics, Philadelphia, PA, USA) and virtualized by knowledge maps. RESULTS:In total, 9832 publications were included in this analysis. The results from the WoSCC showed that the United States of America(Count = 2268, 40.33%), Stanford University(Count = 141, 2.51%), and the United States Department of Health and Human Services were the leading country, institute, and funding agency regarding the number of publications, respectively. “Cognitive-behavioural therapy” was the most popular research topic generated from the cocited reference. The most frequently co-occurring keywords were insomnia, cognitive behavioural therapy, disorder, depression, quality of life, Meta-analysis, older adult, sleep, prevalence and efficacy, while keywords including clinical practice guideline, guideline, and Tai Chi remained popular after 2021. Circadian rhythm was the strongest research frontier for 2000-2021. In China, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(Count = 69, 4.79%) was the most productive institute in this field.
