Tribo-corrosion interaction of the parallel steel wires in the suspension bridges

The effect of contact load and relative displacement on tribo-corrosion interaction of parallel steel wires of main cable in the suspension bridge was investigated in this study.A self-made tribo-corrosion test bench was employed to conduct tribo-corrosion tests of parallel steel wires in 3.5%(wt%)NaCl solution and deionized water under different contact loads and different relative displacements.The friction coefficient and wear coefficient of wires were presented.Electrochemical corrosion behavior(Tafel polarization curves,Nyquist diagram,and equivalent circuit diagram)was characterized by electrochemical analyzer.Wear morphology was observed by scanning electron microscope.Wear volume loss and corrosion‒wear interaction were quantitatively demonstrated by high-precision weighing balance.The results show that the electrochemical corrosion ability of the steel wires increases with the increase of the contact load or relative displacement.The increased contact load or relative displacement increases the volume loss of corrosion‒wear and pure wear,but decreases the wear coefficient.The wear mechanisms in 3.5%NaCl solution are adhesive wear,abrasive wear,and corrosive wear as compared to adhesive wear and abrasive wear in deionized water under different contact loads.The wear mechanisms of parallel steel wires are slightly different under different relative displacements.But the main wear mechanisms are similar to that under different contact loads.The interaction effects of corrosion and wear produced by the contact load and relative displacement are all the synergistic effects.

Florets are the basic structural units of spikelets,and their morphogenesis determines the yield and quality of rice grains.However,whether and how pseudouridine-5’-phosphate glycosidase participates in rice spikelet development remains an open question.In this study,we identified a novel gene,OsPPG,which encodes a peroxisome-localized pseudouridine-5’-phosphate glycosidase and regulates the development of rice spikelets.osppg mutants exhibited abnormal sterile lemma,lemma,palea,lodicule,stamens,and pistils;male sterility;shorter panicles;and reduced plant height.OsPPG was found to regulate several OsMADS genes,thereby affecting the morphogenesis of rice spikelets.Furthermore,metabolomics revealed that the OsPPG gene was involved in the decomposition of pseudouridine via the pyrimidine metabolism pathway and may affect the jasmonic acid signaling pathway.These results suggest that OsPPG is a key regulator of rice spikelet development.

为了合理地考虑竖向地震作用和实现水平和竖向地震动的联合选取,提出了基于广义条件强度参数的水平和竖向地震动联合选取方法:扩展广义条件强度参数的基本理论,提出水平和竖向地震动广义条件强度参数分布的构建方法,并与“无条件分布”对比,提出基于广义条件强度参数的水平和竖向地震动联合选取方法的基本理论,给出以水平强度参数作为条件的实际算例,利用现有水平-水平、水平-竖向强度参数相关系数模型构建水平和竖向地震动广义条件强度参数目标分布,对目标地震动数据库进行联合选取,将选取结果与传统选取方法进行对比,说明该方法的合理性。结果表明:构建出的水平和竖向广义条件强度参数分布与“无条件”分布之间存在一定差异;水平和竖向地震动联合选取结果与目标理论分布匹配良好;与仅考虑水平向广义条件强度参数地震动选取方法相比,联合选取方法能够考虑竖向地震动特性,并且不会对水平向造成影响,提出的水平和竖向地震动联合选取方法能够更加合理地、全面地考虑水平和竖向地震动特性,为工程结构在水平和竖向地震动作用下的抗震性能研究提供地震动输入基础。

目前研究轴承的微极性流体润滑时,一般不考虑轴承表面粗糙度的影响。为处理重载工况下的轴承润滑需要建立综合考虑表面粗糙度和微极性流体综合影响的数学模型。基于平均流量法推导了适用于任意三维粗糙表面轴承的广义平均Reynolds方程。应用此方程分析了不同综合粗糙度均方根和表面方向参数下轴承的无量纲最大平均油膜压力随偏心率、无量纲微极流体特征长度和耦合系数的变化。结果表明,轴承的综合粗糙度均方根参数与无量纲微极流体特征长度和耦合系数具有很强的耦合特性。随着无量纲微极流体特征长度的减小或者耦合系数的增大,轴承的综合粗糙度均方根值越大,轴承的无量纲最大平均油膜压力越大。而且轴承的表面方向参数也具有类似的特性。提出的广义平均Reynolds方程是对现有微极流体润滑理论的补充,可以方便地用于任意三位粗糙表面轴承的微极流体润滑分析。此外,提出的广义平均Reynolds方程不仅适用于流体动力润滑领域的径向滑动轴承和推力轴承等摩擦副,而且也适用于混合润滑领域的活塞环-缸套等摩擦副。

Drought-induced protein 19(Di19) is a Cys2/His2 zinc-finger protein that functions in plant growth and development and in tolerance to abiotic stresses.Gm PUB21,an E3 ubiquitin ligase,negatively regulates drought and salinity response in soybean.We identified potential interaction target proteins of Gm PUB21by yeast two-hybrid c DNA library screening,Gm Di19-5 as a candidate.Bimolecular fluorescence complementation and glutathionine-S-transferase pull-down assays confirmed the interaction between Gm Di19-5 and Gm PUB21.Gm Di19-5 was induced by Na Cl,drought,and abscisic acid(ABA) treatments.Gm Di19-5 was expressed in the cytoplasm and nucleus.Gm Di19-5 overexpression conferred hypersensitivity to drought and high salinity,whereas Gm Di19-5 silencing increased drought and salinity tolerance.Transcripts of ABA-and stress response-associated genes including Gm RAB18 and Gm DREB2A were downregulated in Gm Di19-5-overexpressing plants under drought and salinity stresses.ABA decreased the protein level of Gm Di19-5 in vivo,whereas Gm PUB21 increased the decrease of Gm Di19-5 after exogenous ABA application.The accumulation of Gm PUB21 was also inhibited by Gm Di19-5.We conclude that Gm PUB21 and Gm Di19-5 collaborate to regulate drought and salinity tolerance via an ABA-dependent pathway.

The tree ring has been regarded as an emerging archive to reconstruct historical atmospheric mercury(Hg)trends,but with the large knowledge gaps in the reliability.In this study,we comprehensively evaluated the Hg source,radial translocation and age effect of Masson pine(Pinus massoniana)tree ring at Mt.Jinyun in Chongqing,to assess the suitability of such tree ring as the archive of atmospheric Hg.Results showed that distinct variabilities among Masson pine tree-ring Hg concentration profiles.The Hg concentration significantly increased along with stem height(P<0.05),indicating the Hg in tree rings mainly derived from foliage uptake atmospheric Hg.We found a distinct age effect that the tree ring of young trees had the higher Hg concentration.Besides,we used the advection-diffusion model to demonstrate how Hg concentration shifted by the advection or/and diffusion in tree rings.The modeling results showed that the advection induced radial translocation during the young growth period of tree was a plausible mechanism to result in the tree-ring Hg record largely different from the trend of anthropogenic Hg emissions in Chongqing.We finally suggest that in further Hg dendrochemistry,better discarding the tree-ring Hg profile of the young growth period to reduce impacts of the radial translocation and age effect.

The objective of this study is to evaluate satellite precipitation extremes of the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) 3B42 Version 7 product over China during the period of 2009–2013. Eight extreme indices are used to characterize precipitation extremes: monthly maximum 1-day precipitation (RX1day), monthly maximum consecutive 2-day precipitation (RX2day), monthly maximum 5-day consecutive precipitation (RX5day), simple daily intensity index (SDII), annual total precipitation amount for the wet days (PRCPTOT), annual wet days (R1), consecutive dry days (CDD), and consecutive wet days (CWD). The precipitation amount for indices RX1day, RX2day, RX5day, and PRCPTOT is well captured by TRMM 3B42-V7, as verified by lower mean relative bias and normalized root mean square error and the high spatial correlation coefficient. In contrast, the performance of TRMM 3B42-V7 in depicting the indices on intensity and duration (i.e., SDII, R1, CDD, and CWD) is not as good as its performance in depicting the precipitation amount indices. TRMM 3B42-V7 can reproduce extreme indices better in eastern China than in western China, and better in summer than in winter. Probability density function is also calculated better for RX1day, RX2day, RX5day, and PRCPTOT than for SDII, R1, CDD, and CWD. Investigation on the monthly time series of RX1day, RX2day, and RX5day at different spatial scales indicates that TRMM 3B42-V7 performs better at the large spatial scale than at the grid cell scale. Caution should be observed when the satellite-based extreme indices are used.

PVA-HA-Silk composite hydrogel was synthesized with polyvinyl alcohol （PVA）, nano-hydroxyapatite （HA） and natural silk by using the method of repeated freezing and thawing. A series of tests were performed to study water content, stress relaxation behavior, elastic modulus, and creep characteristics of PVA-HA-Silk composite hydrogel. Orthogonal experimental design method was used to analyze the influence degree of PVA, HA and silk （three kinds of raw materials） on mechanical properties and water content of the PVA-HA-Silk composite hydrogel to select the best material ratio according to their overall performance. The results demonstrate that the mass percentage of PVA has the greatest impact on the water content, followed by HA and silk. Compression stress-strain variation of PVA-HA-Silk composite hydrogel presents a nonlinear relationship, which proves that it is a typical viscoelastic material. Comparing the mechanical properties of 16 formulas, the formula of PVA-HA-silk composite hydrogel with mass percentage of PVA 15%, HA 2.0% and silk 1.0% is the best.
